Cruel? ...Maybe not the word I'd use. My initial thought was that "thoughtless" might be a better description...but I'm not so sure that that would cover it, either. From Mark's own responses to reviews: "Cruel" would imply that Brad's intentionally aiming to cause harm towards Jeanine as well as towards Will here - and I don't think that that's quite what he's doing. But as Mark has put it, he's definitely got the emotional blockers "on" once again.

See, the thing is...this house, that's now at the center of the latest Will Issue, is a house that Brad wasn't even all that thrilled about Will buying to begin with. So it stands to reason that things have been a little off between the two ever since. I'm not sure that this is even about the emancipation for Brad, as opposed to simply being a "spat" that he wants to win because, well, he doesn't like losing. Jeanine only factors in because given how things still are between her and Will, it makes for a move against him. It's almost like a chess move, really.

My initial thought regarding the divorce is that is could very well amount to very little ado at all, if any. Yeah, there are the recent issues that happened, but she doesn't ask for divorce until - what, three weeks even after the party? Unless there's something that's been deliberately kept from us, it seems odd that this would go on to amount to a less-than-amicable divorce.

In order for Will to be open to target for a lawsuit, first Malcom has to be willing to own up to what happened. And there's something about him that makes me think that he won't be the type who's willing to admit to it - not willingly for purposes of a lawsuit, anyway. Will has to be thinking that he's more-or-less invincible by this point - which, to be fair, isn't all that different from many teens in general...but toss in his family circumstances and it becomes its own thing. Anyone, anyone can talk to Will and tell him whatever they like - but Will would also have to listen, and truthfully, nothing can make him listen if he just doesn't want to.

Eh...good to know I'm not the only one thinking that some things in that letter might be valid points while the rest are either not or are in fact the employee's own screw-ups. I read the letter, and couldn't help but wonder if this person is really meant to be a good fit for any...job...anywhere. Like...in response to their calling the place a "faux hippy Wal-Mart", my response would probably be: "The 60s called...they want YOU back, honey." -
Why don't you just push who you want Will to be with and leave it at that? All things considered though, my answer would be G) I don't really give a fuck who Will ends up with, if he ends up with anyone at all!

At the rate he was at, I wouldn't be surprised if Will has had more sexual partners by the time he leaves high school than the entire rest of the family combined.

I could see this as a backdoor way of killing off Marcel just to get him out of the CAP continuity.

If Darius really really really wanted to join that badly, and what you say is true, wouldn't that ultimately just become one more thing that he'd fight against just to get in and stay in? Doesn't seem like he'd just let that deter him.

Seeing as this whole series started with JP, it feels like it would be the ultimate exercise in dramatic cliche for him to be the one who perishes. I suspect that if it were Stef, then your readers would put you on the chopping block right next to him. There's probably more that I could think of on this, but that's what instantly comes to mind at the moment.

This chapter is very confusing. Aside from Preston's mom being killed in an accident, I have no other sense of what is real, what really happened, and what didn't.

We've still got drama from Marie to deal with, that hasn't been completely resolved yet - and I still don't think it will end up being so easy or simple as being able to be hashed out once everyone sits down to do so. Other than that, though...I'm wishing the towers would just get hit already.
