    Carlos Hazday

R.I.P. Carlos. We never got to open that bar where our characters would meet, chat and infuriate the hell out of each other. Well, there's always next time. Ich werde dich vermissen. I would've never thought how much. May your spirit be free.
  2. In case anyone still had this story on their list, I won't complete it. I'm sorry.

    Going for a Joyride

    I couldn't resist....
  6. What did you think when you read the headline? Did you remember the song from the nineties? Or the film from 2022? Or even a cool trip and you can’t wait to tell us all about it? Insert *eyebrow waggle* here. Anyway, here are this week’s prompts: PT #137 Your protagonist spots an irresistible offer to rent their dream vehicle for a weekend and invites a special person for a joyride. Even though I want to know everything, what kind of vehicle, who has been invited, where they go to, what I’m really looking forward to is the invitation. How is it done? So many possibilities.... PT #138 Some friends planned to go on a trip over the weekend, but it had to be canceled because of an upcoming storm. Now they sit together and play board and word games. One suggestion is to tell a story in one very, very long sentence. Everyone adds to it until the story is finished. Please include the prompt number either in your story/chapter description or title to help readers who would like to search for specific prompts. Also, please remember that stories less than one thousand words must be posted as part of a collection If you check the subgenre 'prompt' in your story tags, then people/readers can find everything here: https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/subgenre/prompt/

    Curses and Bears

I’d like to thank Libby Drew; she inspired me to create PT#131 when she cursed my fellow prompter Cole Matthews. PT #131 Invent a colorful curse or charm, depending on your current mood, and maybe tell us something about it, such as why or who. PT #132 Your MC goes camping with someone who never did this before. Write a story or vignette and use the word bear five times without talking about the actual animal.

@raven1 thank you for taking the time to comment on every poem. I'm glad you liked them.

    Chapter 2

    6. This poem is written on my phone, yogurt labels praise the fruity aroma of sun-ripened strawberries, the refrigerated section makes me shiver, while my eyes are fixed on the tiny hole someone punched into the lid of one cup. My imagination sees fungal spores drifting by, finding their way inside, germinating happily to become fungi oozing toxins. I want my mask! Remnants of the pandemic? The funny thing is, while I wrote this I felt ill and an ho
  17. I love your unique perception of nature's wonders and how you sometimes weave daily horrors into the pattern-- to make me/us pause? Thank you for partaking in this year's NaPoWriMo. I'm sure I will be back and reread some of your poems, to find just another favorite.

    Chapter 90 Things

I like your collection, Gary, and your feelings about your things. (Feeling their warmth like a scented bath for example.) Like the others, I too have a collection and my greatest fear is that I forget about their meaning, like my mother. Haiku #5 and # 6 are my favorites. I enjoyed your poems with a nice cup of Maca Chai. Thank you.
  19. I love these. Som's tanka is a favorite. I can see her hunting with her golden eyes, feel your fear for her. You found perfect words. Your occasional alliterations made me linger. Flying feathered prey, raucous roar, or my all-time favorite, grim geckos.
