Perfect! How old was Sina? Imagining a 30-year-old in a see-through nightgown is different from imagining a 70-year-old. Erm...yes. I would say, choose what ever setting you like, but I imagined her to be end twenty too mid thirty. Did Gideon wipe her memory with that last bite? Or was a spell involved after? Is the ability to read minds Gideon’s second ability? My vampires can read a human's mind and or memory when they bite them to give them pleasure or pain. Being a powerful vampire, Gideon can supercharge a mind, which means wipe a memory. Ry has reached that level of fighting ability already?? Rylan has been a police officer, which means he already had certain skills, but yes he seems to be a talented fighter, even more than his brother. Anyways. this is candidate training, which means he tries out for the lowest level. These are candidates who might belong to Caspian's personal guard at some time after years of years of hard training.

Gideon has to push Kavan's limits, he's about to do a dangerous job. Thank you for finding nice words for Kavan. He's a goof by nature. It's way to deal with pressure. Maybe if he feels more confident, he finds a middle ground.

When I came home, Rylan was waiting for me; the fire was lit, flickering candles sat on the mantle, and reflections multiplied their number in front of the window. Two large empty wine glasses were ready to be filled. “Holy kale! What happened?” He beamed at me. “Guess.” I ostentatiously looked around. “Something worth a celebration?” He got up from the couch, his eyes sparkling. “You bet!” He spread his arms. “You’re looking at a future candidate’s training group member!”

I always watched the games, but not this year. We watch some old games instead .

Exactly. A very old female vampire met him and decided to change him. Yes, but he is not her One Childe; it was just some kind of challenge for her to turn a witch. I immediately thought of Lestat’s mother in Anne Rice’s vampire series. He made her a vampire and then she became very cold and left him. That's a cool reference. Both made it through exceptional events: one, becoming a vampire the other having to overcome an impossible to win fight against poisoning.

Hopefully he will learn to use some nifty spells. and now having to train together will bring it out. I couldn't resist the fun I'm going to have writing this.
