Cool interview, great answers, I remember when I waited for one of @Headstall's great comments on RRS, and when he decided to write Cards on the Table, I still love the story. I wish I had more time to read, there are still a few stories of his on top of my list.

Thank you. It’s clear why he wants this, but not clear how he believes he has the least chance of success. He doesn't think, he's blinded by his vendetta. ....pick up the pieces? or to be blunt sweeping up his remains.

Nope, not yet. *insert evil laugh* I for one don't think that Gideon is aware he is being followed. I think he is too far into his plan to let anything distract him. He would know and sense other vampires; but why suspect they are after him if they are not doing anything to stop him. That makes sense to me. Oh wait... Kavan needs to stay with Gideon and make sure that he protects him from himself. Haha, exactly.

Yes, he would find out if Kavan would follow him alone, but it's mostly Van who follows him and she is a very experienced tracker, she knows how to hide Kavan too, at the lake for example. Now that Kavan has an idea of Gideon's goal, he needs to get his sword to him and project him in a fight against the ancient vampire and his minions. I really love your idea that Kavan will be able to protect Gideon, and you have every reason to assume this as he did it before. At the moment though, Kavan is still in strangle-your-bloodsong-and-yell at-him-mode.

That would be terribly rude. I am halfway sure that Gideon knows he is being followed by his bloodsong. Why doesn't he send him home then?

Traveling as a vampire was different from traveling as a human; being a newbie vamp, I had to avoid any kind of sunlight. Throw in a jet plane that could be delayed for various reasons, and it gets even more interesting. Fortunately, Caspian knew someone who knew someone who owns a plane with a neat light-tight compartment where I could sleep and wait until sunset with my day guard watching the door. I decided to leave the old stories as they are, even though there's one, a favorite, I itch to edit/rewrite because there are some outdated facts that I'd like to update. It's not about style but science, hm. Maybe one day.
