Of course I want you to continue. I would love to see Trans kid or a kid unsure of their gender identity added to the story. And, I know I mentioned it before and you ignored this, but some conflict of faith would be nice to see. Adding a character who is Atheist, Jew, Muslim or some other religion or maybe just another Christian denomination and not so keen to going to the Curries' church every Sunday. Another possibility may be a conflict within the Curries' church. Maybe a new priest that is not so keen on keeping same-sex couples in their congregation and will start to add LGBT hate to his or her sermons. Would be interesting to see how the highly religious Curries will react to that. And, I think a conflict between partners would be interesting to see. Maybe even an ugly divorce that would lead one of the original characters returning back to the hotel, possibly even with his own kids. And, please, pretty please, more travelling and trips. That was one of the main reasons I got hooked on Castaway Hotel and I miss it so much in the new books. NO! PLEASE NO! Sorry for screaming here, but I really hate stories with too many narrators. It gets confusing too quickly not only for writer, but for readers too. And I definitely can't imagine this working for such a complex story Castaway Hotel is. Either keep to one narrator or write it in third person. And maybe writing the next Castaway Hotel book in third person is not that bad idea. It will get Bill a chance to write about more characters at once without the narrating feeling so cluttered.

Actually, UK as it is now, is a mumbled mix of Imperial and metric measures. They did not fully accept metric system and with the upcomming Brexit, I doubt they will anytime soon. Actually, I am little worried that they may do a backstep and increase their use of Imperial measures once again, now that they will not have the pressure from Brussel. But even now, the speed limits and lenghts on roads, for example, are in miles, which causes quite a headache to all continental drivers in UK. Maybe even bigger than the left-hand driving LOL Anyway, I got used to use ConvertPad app on my Android phones and tablets, which makes the conversions quite easy. I am pretty sure you can find similar app for iPhone and iPad as well. It really made my life easier 😉

And once again I have to point out a discrepancy, but this time quite big. You wrote in the first chapter that the boys were ten years old when Cindy and Josh left, now you are writing it was ten years since then. That would make the boys 20 years old and that doesn't make sense with the context of the story, where the boys still were in High School. That's a big timeframe change all of a sudden.

A little too late to comment, but I just now found this story. I want to point out one small time issue in this chapter. You gave Josh 2013 Mustang, which he supposedly got for his 16th birthday. However, in the first chapter, you are writing that the day Josh and Cindy left was in 2005 and the boys were 10 that day. That would place Josh's 16th birthday to 2011. How could he get 2013 car unless his mom is time-traveller and bought it in future? I know, it's a small detail, but I am detailist and like to pick these things in stories 😉

That may be true for police. But I am not so sure about Don. First, he previously shown he is strongly against drugs and second, he also shown he has his own laws, not always corresponding with those written by lawmakers.

Yeah, drug raid is very likely scenario here, one that I actually expected since the very beginning, to be honest. And if that's the case, then Robbie is in even more trouble now than he was as a runaway kid. And it would only strain his relationship with Don the Conservative Asshole Actually, that may be problem, because there may not even be any suitable foster families in Coburg, so he'll be moved away to another town, being forced to change school and losing all his friends in the process. Still, IMO, even that turn of events would be better for Luke, especially now, that everyone in small and conservative Coburg will know his family's background.

Also found this interesting Elders react to In a Heartbeat video. I must admit some of the reactions made me cry as much as the movie itself.

I must admit I had mixed feelings about the story at first, with those constant skipping from past in London to present Cobourg, which was really annoying and confusing to me. Then came that event with Fran and I really practically stopped reading. I eventually returned to reading and now caught up with what is posted, only to wish I didn't. And that's what concerns me most. Does that mean he was in coma for almost a year? Please, tell me that's not the case and this was another dream and Robbie was in coma only for a few hours and did not lose almost a year of his young life, especially now, when things started to look so well for him.

I fail to see how the behaviour of Tax to Regal at the beginning of his POV was an attitude. If a colleague behaved to me like Regal did to Tax, I would've acted similarly, maybe even worse BTW, Regal is starting to be my least favourite POV character in the whole series, beating Jayce from LLL in that position. May even soon be the first POV character I'll start to hate, unless his attitude will change any time soon. Anyway, great chapter. Looking forward to the date.

After reading the first chapter, I really hate Cory's father. He sort of remind me my Chemistry teacher and the way she was with her son, my classmate. At least Cory has loving mother, unlike my friend, whose father, while loving, was banned by court to come anywhere near him and she made sure that will be the case. To these days I don't know how she achieved that, probably bribed the judge, otherwise, I can't imagine any judge to give custody to her, instead of her ex-husband. But I would love to see her face when he moved away from her and went to live with his father the day of his 18th birthday, which ended her child welfare, from which, she did not use anything to the boy anyway. Serves her right for treating her son the way she did. Anyway, I love this story so far. The first chapter build for interesting story. I can't wait to read more.

I must admit I never got to reading Trials and Tribulations before, but after starting with this story, I've got to Trials and Tribulations too. But there's something that doesn't fit with the previous reviews. I am not American, but I always thought US high schools usually have football in fall and baseball in spring, so I guess at this time of story timeline, the football season is already over. With that said, I think when Brent mentioned friends from football team, he probably meant people that played football earlier that school term. So, unless JT is asked to be the one to do something to Sammy and Tony, and I doubt he will be, since Brent most likely already knows he lives with Andy and will most likely side with him, there's not much JT can do. But hopefully I am wrong and someone can stop Brent and whomever he'll get for that deed, from hurting Sammy and Tony badly. Otherwise, I like this story and I like the suspense as well as personal problems (especially the triangle Sammy got caught in ) you are building here and can't wait for more. Hopefully, unlike Trials and Tribulations, you will finish this one.

Oh man, I should have know you'll made it a Second Chances spin-off of sorts OK, so now, the last two of Chosen five are known. But if I remember Second Chances right, the school to which Jesse and Dylan went is in New Hampshire, which is on the other side of USA than LA is. So now, the big question is how will they meet each other? I can hardly wait for next chapter. This is great story with interesting twists. And definitely not as predictable as Riding Lessons series used to be most of the time (at least for me ), which I like either as it keeps me surprised.

This is great story. I am not usually into this paranormal stories and if it was not from author of Riding Lessons, I would have probably not even start to read it, but this on caught me just like Riding Lessons series, so I am hooked. I wonder what's the deal with the twins having these powers. And what is it with Dyson? Who killed his father? Will they try to go after Benji and Alex too? And is Oliver another of the Chosen five? And what is actually the whole deal with Chosen five? Oh, I guess I have to keep reading. But one thing you need to grasp, Andrew, is you British English. You just seem to throw British term here and there and it all sounds like American trying to speak British, instead of born Englishman Oliver is supposed to be. And sometimes, you are using terms that are simply wrong. Fro example: "Just queer little things, mainly around the stables." No Englishmen these days would use the word Queer the way you used it in this sentence, even less gay one. Throughout the years, even in British English, it worked out pretty much the same meaning it has in American English. Even with this small flaw, however, it still is enjoyable story.

I liked the story and was surprised with Drew figuring it all. I did not like, however, that you ended it with what may actually be called a cliffhanger. There surely is a need for sequel, this time with Brandon as main character, though I think it would be even better if you'll write it in third person, writing about more then one character, but the decision is yours what, if anything, you'll do as a sequel.

This is starting to get more and more complicated. James still loves Drew even so much so he is willing to see him with another boy as long as he is happy. Though this may be an escape route for Rick. Maybe, he should tell James truth and slowly, they may get Drew to patch things up with James. But I am afraid Rick is too big of a coward to do so. And we still have here the triangle with Sharon, Peter and Brandon, Rick caused. Too much things to resolve.

Oops, seems like Rick and Claire saw some signals from Sharon wrong. Hopefully this will not turn to another catastrophe. Rick already caused enough of them. By the way, I must admit I hated Rick at the beginning, lying about his sexuality and instead of telling truth, burying himself more and more into those lies, hurting others in the proces (even though they don't know that yet), just because he wanted friends so desperately. But the more I read this story, the more I am pitying him. And one note, if you keep adding new chapters at around noon of my local time, you may get me fired as I am using every break to read this story, causing delays by not dispatching the bus in time in first stop and then connecting buses will have to wait for me either. I know my colleague bus drivers will not complain on me, but if at least one passenger will, I may be doomed. Not that I will ever blame you, mind you, your story is worth the troubles

I am sorry to see this story end, but as they say, every good thing has to end once. I am sorry to read TJ found his death while defending bullied boy and Devon, not surprisingly, took it hard. It's almost like Sebastian's story repeating itself. But it's good to hear the others will live happy lives, including Jesse and Dylan. I know I thought they shouldn't go to the academy, but maybe I was wrong in my assumptions to the school as well as Trevor's intentions. And yes, like others, I too think you should publish this. I don't know if the book would be available for buy in my country, as even in these days, world in not totally globalized and still parted with many borders, but if it would, I would buy it and recommend it to my friends.

OK, so Trevor succeeded in implanting this stupid boarding school idea into the boys to get them out of Danny and CJ. I can't believe Danny, CJ and Dylan's parents agreed so readily. Call me stubborn, but I simply know this is not good for Jesse and Dylan. Boarding schools are full of bullies, I've read somewhere that bullying on boarding schools in US is bigger issue then on average public schools. And Jesse and Dylan, open gay couple, will be far from safe of those bullies. They would be more safer in their normal school, with all their friends looking for them, already knowing their classmates and teachers and knowing what to expect from them. Not to mention with Trevor's friend as headmaster, this will give Trevor chance to alienated Jesse even more from Danny and CJ, which, I am still sure, was his original plan. I just don't believe that man. But now, we have more pressing issue and that is Chris and Maddy's investigation of Carter and Sam. Hell, to think Sam raped his previous victim... Spin was lucky on that regard. I guess Sam did not do that because his cousin was there with him? Anyway, I sure as hell hope they will get what they deserve.

And here we go, Trevor shows his face, treating Tony like a slave, like those rich people tends to do. What will come next, whipping Sadie for not bringing him coffee fast enough? He seems that type of person, southern slaver. On the other hand, I am glad Jesse met with Sebastian's family. That was nice scene. And I am glad to see Erik and Brandon will stop being secretive about their relationship.

I had a feeling Dylan will be a match too, the moment he let himself tested. That's just the plot twist you like. On the other hand, I have bad feeling about Trevor's sincerity to Jesse and Dylan. Of course he was sincere about Cole's illness, but I can't help to think there's more he wants. Maybe when he realized CJ is no match to his resources, he decided to play nice and get on good note with Jesse, to just find another way to get Jesse out of CJ and Danny's influence by sending him to some god-awful boarding school, where he will, most likely, be bullied as much as he was on his previous school, if not even more. We all know how these places are. I really hope the boys as well as Danny and CJ will put Trevor to his paces.

The thought that it is someone from school who is behind the attack crossed my mind, but like TJ I thought it was some student. But obviously, there's more to this than just your plain old school bullying. And yes, I think it may be someone from school, maybe the teacher who is picking on Devon, though she most likely is not alone. This will surely be interesting, but I hope no one will be hurt in the process. And there still is this thing with with Jesse's father. I wonder if he saw the new report. Yes, I know he is supposed to be in Florida, but he still may have someone there who saw the report and may tell him or even record it for him. I wonder how he will react if he will see the report.

I must admit I am surprised with TJ's mother. She did right thing even though her rich lifestyle will come to end, at least for now. I wonder if CJ will help her get the best divorce lawyer in the area I am glad to hear Spin is alright and also the report had no effect on Brandon's parents and that Erik was able to stand for himself. But I wonder about Stephanie and Luka. I don't believe their parents would believe the report, but Luka was already bullied to the point they have to move out. Now I am pretty sure some people at school know Luka has a horse at Second Chances and I am afraid he may be next victim. I hope I am wrong, but somehow, I can't help. And of course, there still is this thing with Jesse's father. I am afraid the report may somehow hurt CJ and Danny's chances at court. I even thought Trevor is behind the report to increase his chances at court, but of course that was wrong assumption. I would not be surprise, however, if he still used this at court to his advantage

OK, if I remember correctly, Jesse's father signed some papers that stripped him his parental rights, so legally, he shouldn't have any roots for this. But he may have something we don't know yet. Maybe support of local child care service? It was told previously they are not overly happy with gay couple fostering Jesse. And Jesse is still in foster care, if I am right, he wasn't adopted by CJ and Danny yet, was he? I don't think this is about money, but I may be wrong. You don't usually sue your son's foster parents to get money, but who knows what is in Jesse's father's head. If his relationship with his wife, who provided his money, ended wrong, he may be desperate enough to try this stunt. All in all, I hope he will not be successful, that would be devastating for Dylan. It is great to see Diego getting settled at the ranch so quick and helping Brandon. We'll see if it is possible couple. I also wonder about Erik and Luke. They don't seem to fit each other and Erik doesn't have much nice words for him. Erik and Steph, on the other had, would be interesting twist of events And as others, I am looking forward to Devon's birthday.

Oh, please no! This is really terrible cliffhanger. I wonder if things are right back in Alvarezes residence or if Pete is in trouble too. I also wonder what role, if any, Diego plays in this scheme. Was he aware of his father's plan and will he keep holding the other boys from finding Mattie and Dylan in time? Or will he help them to get his own father to jail? And is Ernesto Diego's father at all? If I remember correctly, Uncle Juan was not supposed to sell the estencia. Did this fact play a role in this scheme? There sure are many questions to answer, including how this kidnap will affect Dylan, who was finally recovering from his ordeal with Cody.
