  1. Halor is a naughty elf, fibbing about Jordan being late and then manhandling him aside in his dash for the door. (His behavior certainly makes it easier to fire him.) Sad to hear that Damian has been discriminated against for his calico ears and tail. We also learn that he is bisexual and was basically run out of town for having sex with a female while having the "wrong" fur pattern. (Sigh.) The mage has figured out Jordan's secret based on the pattern of his "illness," so Jordan runs into some discrimination of his own. (Of course, Jordan, if you could get over your own silly double standard/prejudice against the werewolves, you could ask the local packs which mages are wolf friendly--find out which mages might still teach you--and you could be out and proud as a werewolf at the same time!) Wolf watching is a pastime? Way to go, Stella! I'm curious how Damian and Jordan will act towards each other while sharing one roof. (From everything he's heard, Damian must already understand that Jordan is a werewolf, but that doesn't mean they can't get along. In fact, as previously discussed, Jordan's wolf has been quiet on the subject of the new house guest, and Damian is in no position to turn down a free bed.)

    Damian

I love that, even though Jordan hates being a werewolf, he keeps a chew bone on the bed. 😂 I always expect to meet my boss at the laundromat. 🤣🤣🤣 (How did Ms. Reyla know where to find Jordan?: Maybe a bit of magic?) Congratulations, Jordan, being manager means always having to say you're sorry, and with longer hours to say it! Of course, you are now in a position to save the bookstore--and perhaps Damian as well. Wow, so Damian is a homeless Neko. (The milk actually went for a worthy cause.) I have to wonder why Jordan's wolf remains silent in the presence of the Neko: What does Wolfie know that Jordan doesn't?
  3. Jett, you're a nasty piece of work, and a fool, for choosing to be a strong man for gangsters. Yet, at the same time, you're willing to consider that Jay is yours (and even use math 😱 to figure out when you "banged" the mom) and to bail April out of a jam for way more than his babysitting services are worth (cuteness should never be underrated!). Further, when you hear that the evil Z brother have "plans" for April, you become protective and decide to hide him in plain sight with hair dye (blond, of course!) as the first step in your Extreme Makeover, and you even force him to live with you, ostensibly to take care of Jay, but at the same time to hide him from the Zs. You know that, by covering for him, you are now on a crash course at some future date with the Z brothers, but you also know, somehow, that it's the right thing to do. You may seem like a simple, sadistic slob, but you're actually a complex individual. (That said, I can't wait to hear you squeal like a pig the first time you change Jay's diaper! ) Theo? Or should I call you April? (If your parents liked months, they couldn't have called you August?) Jett thinks you're adorable and that your ass is a superpower. Why are you so sure that he'll regret assisting you when he remembers your relationship at 13? (Jett tells us that he was the one who blew your relationship, not you.) Also, why did you spend that summer with Jett in the first place? (You didn't live in the area, or you wouldn't have vanished without a trace when your parents came to collect you.) Also, why did you grow up to be a hacker? And are you a "good" hacker, or is the FBI out looking for you? And do you really look better as a blond? (A certain someone is sure to recognize you with golden locks!) Ah, Jay, I've just visited your new orange wall mural. You're a born artist! I have the sneaky suspicion that you won't need much encouragement to follow-up with additional masterpieces!

    The Moon's Curse

I wonder what would motivate the old elven woman to feed a wolf, especially after her own child was "stolen" by the same type of monster. No wonder Jordan is leery of accepting her handout. Giving his protection to the old elven woman once agan emphasizes Jordan's humanity.
  5. “I see you’re on your period”: The perfect thing to tell a werewolf once a month. I love it! So what happened to Eric? Jordan refuses to associate with a pack, but his apartment is oh-so lonely. While he doesn't want to give in to the wolf, he isn't doing himself any favors, either. A werewolf who likes cats. He's obviously a good person (meow). A werewolf who works in a bookstore: Priceless. 😁 So why was Jordan so struck by a person he couldn't even see properly?

    Knockout Round

Like most people from Los Angeles, I just don't get the appeal of New York, even after multiple visits: I have many friends, and even relatives, who have escaped from New York to tell their war stories of a hellish land (excepting for the delicatessens 😁). In light of this fear and loathing (pastrami sandwiches excepted), I feel that Chipper's song automatically disqualifies him from the competition, and I declare Aslan to be the winner. Carlos, you may now rewrite the chapter. 🤣🤣🤣

    New York Times

Oh, Ok, Chipper is clearly into sexual equality: I hope that Bliss lived up to her name! 😂 Now that Chipper is full of cooties, what will Bliss expect from their relationship? 🤗

    Cross Country

"The hug and kiss [Chipper and Bliss] exchanged were more than friendly." Did I miss something? Is Chipper bi? (He doesn't seem to miss an opportunity! 😂) I'm definitely a dark chocolate and caramel sort of guy. Never could understand why people like the Girl Scouts' chocolate mint cookies, but hubby hoards them in the freezer.
  10. Jay, you're giggling at the man bun? Then again, you're just a baby, so you probably giggle at poop. 👼 April, as your name is unforgettable, how is it that Jett has forgotten it? Or did he know you by another name? (The plot thickens....) Two and a half men? No, Laura, that'll never work.... 😂

    Chapter 1

I'm intrigued as to why Myles did not turn out like his family but instead identifies with the common man. Looking forward to the next chapter.

And the Discovery Project is off and running! A nice, peaceful chapter, like the calm before the storm!

    Chapter 102

Kohen has never been able to fight his conditioning before, so how was he able to push the Captain away and move to stand by Lakshou? "Captain had pulled the weapons out of my belt," but thereafter, "the electricity burst from the device implanted on the back of my suit, curved through the channels, and then spread out around me in a halo of wicked crackling pain." The grenade had already been removed from Kohen's possession: Did Everret replace it on the back of Kohen's suit? Did Kohen have a secret weapon? The point is unclear. However, one thing's for sure: Roast Lakshou is on the menu for dinner! 😁

    Battle Round

Please forgive the ignorance of a non television watcher, but what exactly is meant by "stealing" a losing contestant? 🤔 Thanks! 😊

    Battle Round

I would never want to be a judge and have to destroy the hopes of a gifted individual. I've never seen the show, but I'd love there to be a "losers" tournament, where the defeated singers then battle against each other in a "second chance" showdown. Chipper's ability to lose himself in a performance earmarks him as being true "star" material: He not only enacts a role but lives it. This ability would give even a lesser talent the verisimilitude to make it big, and Chipper has the talent in full. So far, Chipper has performed other people's music. I wonder if and when he'll be in a position to showcase his own compositions. (Perhaps at a music festival like Coachella or even lesser venues such as the numerous music clubs scattered around Los Angeles.)

    Sanc Chapter 9

I am also concerned about the possibility of arson; and if it were an arson attempt, why? And who would be the likely suspects? (With no smoke damage inside, the fire must have been set outside the structure, and that decreases the likelihood for an "inside" job.) I'm glad the Project Discovery guys intend to reconnoiter around the area, as shelter for the homeless cannot be taken for granted. As @mikedup says, "...I think that they will be taking in a few more than they were expecting...." I also agree with @Kev: Just because they have planned for only four inductees on the night of the storm doesn't mean that they are limited to those specific four! 😊

    Protostar

The name Glennys derives from Welsh and means pure/holy, and the urban dictionary defines Glennys as meaning "one of the nicest people you will ever meet." Yet, while Glennys has a fracture, she's described as "broken"; and at the very least, she comes across as an unpleasant, manipulative pill. Ezra is 5 feet 3 inches. So what? Joe Pesci, Martin Scorsese, Paul Simon, Peter Lorre, Pat Morita, Beethoven, Voltaire--even Tyrone Bogues of the NBA--reached "only" five feet three inches. The point is that a few inches one way or the other don't really matter when you're reaching for the stars! (He's already found himself a "Beau." 😍) "Eamonn had done enough for the family already." That sounds...interesting...and maybe just a little bit ominous. Transfusions? Uh oh…. While Litchfield is a real city, I can't help but picture Ezra trying to escape a field of litches! (I must be watching too many horror movies. 😱) "Gloria fucking Droese!" Finally, the break that Ezra has been waiting for, but we'll have to see what comes of it. Cancer--now we get it: Eamonn wasn't receiving transfusions, he was giving them. Interesting that Beau brings up Ezra's cancer history just when Ezra may be getting his big break. I'm a big fan of seeing characters overcome adversity, but cancer doesn't fight fairly, and I hope we can see what Ezra is capable of without his having to battle a recurrence at the same time. (Chemo and radiation therapy may also explain Ezra's height--why his younger brother is taller--as treatment may have interfered with Ezra's growth.) Trouble in paradise? Ezra loves wrestling, but Beau doesn't want him to do it anymore. This doesn't bode well….

    Chapter 101

I would suggest that the area where Chomper is being kept is shielded so that Kohen and Lakshou remain unaware of the deception (if he is indeed being kept awake). The ploy would not work otherwise.
  19. travlbug

    Chapter 101

I wonder if Chomper is really sedated? The Captain says that he and the officers are aware that a trap has been prepared deep in Kohen's synapses, so he would be completely foolhardy if he hasn't taken countermeasures. Telling Kohen that Chomper has been sedated--neutralized--would make sure that the misinformation would be passed on to Lakshou before their secret weapon is released...at the right time, of course!

    Sanc Chapter 7

I'm also concerned that the induction process (surrendering clothes, showering, etc.) for the new kids holds more than a passing resemblance to the induction measures employed in jail, which may scare off some of the potential residents. Further, I would think that the homeless kids 12-15 years old would be more at risk than the 16-19 year olds, so I'm not sure why Project Discovery wants to focus on the older kids instead of the younger. Perhaps we'll get more information on this point in later chapters.

    Making Ready

The man Stravor kills at the tavern recognizes him as a Searcher but still attacks him: Was he insane? (I don't know that anyone could have been that drunk.) I also find it interesting that Stravor hears Keter's thoughts and immediately accepts that this is Keter's doing. Why couldn't it be Stravor's doing? After all, Keter can't hear Stravor's thoughts--or can he? Perhaps Hemothracene has given Stravor a gift to assist him in tracking Keter down (should the need arise). However, Hemothracene has told Stravor to kill Keter--not take him on a trip--so Stravor is already going off-script with his god's demands. Just what is he planning?
  23. A brilliant character study of two teens with mental illness, one born with the problem and one who has it foisted upon him by his upbringing: This is their story behind the locked doors of an adolescent mental facility, and it showcases their interactions with a variety of people--doctors, nurses, social workers, relatives, fellow patients, and (of course) each other. It captivates to, and through, its shocking, but ultimately satisfying, denouement. At its core, it's a story of self discovery, personal strength, and the real meaning of love. I have never previously been motivated to write a review, but Heart is something special (I had the same excited feeling reading it that I sometimes experience when I read a book that later wins an award). Do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK!

    Family Issues

Cristina needs to leave. (If Damien gets away with it now, his behavior will get worse with time.) If authors are allowed to get away with 1000-word chapters, what's next? 500-word chapters? 300? It's obviously the beginning of the end. 😁 (Actually, whatever size chapter an author gifts me with, I'll appreciate!)

    Open Call

I wonder why the spokeswoman didn't sound enthusiastic after Chipper's first two songs, but she obviously changed her tune (pardon the pun!) after his third. I hope that Michael and Blaine had a cake, or maybe a bottle of bubbly, hidden at home to help him celebrate passing his first hurdle! 🍾
