Thanks Nephy Your point on my dialogue is taken on board. I've tried moving away from including the information side in the text of the story and including it in the dialogue instead, but it's not working as well as I'd hoped. For some reason, it just doesn't seem to flow right, and I end up sounding like a history professor I'm going to keep working on it though. The archaeology team's murder could have been a real problem, and that was one thing Thomas was really worried about revealing. Hopefully the offering will be enough for Alex and his mum.

Thanks Nephy I'm not sure what the future holds for Thomas and Alex since it quite literally hasn't been written yet In spite of their young age, I'd like to think they'll make it, because I really don't like writing heartbreak. But as the old song goes: que sera, sera.

Renee if one day you snap I am prepared to offer you an alibi (and a place to hide the body) My BF's family are nice for the most part, but his younger sister sounds a bit like your hubby's sister. The only difference is that she doesn't really have anybody else in her life to help with stuff. Though thankfully she will actually take 'no', or 'not today, but we will tomorrow' for an answer without throwing a hissy fit. I feel so sorry for you and your hubby having your nieces and nephews used as emotional weapons. It's not fair on you two and it's even more unfair on the kids.

I haven't even been here for a year yet, but I'm amazed at the amount of help and support I've had from everyone on here. I finally started posting my first stories and if it hadn't been for the constant feedback and butt-kicking from everyone, I know I would have given up after my first story. The forums are a great part of GA, and I've learned so much about my fellow GA'ers. May GA and its authors continue for many years to come.

We finally left the Eiffel Tower just before two o'clock and had a late lunch in one of the cafes. Kodi, Jess and I went with something we were familiar with, which was croque monsieur; which is basically Welsh Rarebit, but made with brie instead of cheddar. Our parents had some fish stew thing called bouillabaisse, and Jess was even brave enough to try a snail; rather her than me. After we had allowed our food to digest, we headed back to the Bir-Hakeim station to travel to the Sacré Coeur B

I got calibre a while ago when I got my Kindle. A friend of mine had tons of books on his e-reader and we spent ages converting them over. You can also connect you Kindle to your PC and simply drag and drop files onto your Kindle (though I think it only works with PDF files, I think Word docs have to either be sent to your Kindle e-mail for conversion, or you can convert them yourself into PDF files). And I remember betamax. My uncle ran out to buy it as soon as it was released and it cost something like £400. Though I could never tell a difference in quality between betamax and VHS.
