    Dawn Breaks

Such a sweet story. Really well written, and an interesting use of some of the words.

A great story, I loved the ending - never saw that coming. A great build up to the end and a nice read. Well done.
  4. So happy for you John
  5. Have fun at the wedding Mike. But yes, the north of England took a right battering. Hope it stays away from London.
  6. Bill, I think you'll find there are also one or two mohels who get plenty of use out of the Miracle Blade

    Chapter 1

Reminds me so much of Baby Boy Ballerina. A good opening chapter.

    Chapter 1

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for Loki. Everybody has a Christmas wish; one thing that they wish for more than anything. There are those who wish for things; for toys, for games, for money. Then there are those who wish for the basics that the rest of us take for granted; for a family, for a place to live, for someone to love. It is this latter group whose yearnings call to Loki. Each year, Loki searches for the one person w
  9. We all have a Christmas wish, something we want more than anything. Michael has just been granted his. This story is based on the 2004 anthology theme "Christmas".
  10. And another penalty shoot out. Poor Portugal.
  11. A lovely and emotional ending to a great series. Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you have put into this Bill, and thank you for sharing it. The only really good thing about having finished reading is I get to start from the beginning again.

    First Times

I remember my first time getting drunk - kinda. My friend and I got so drunk on cherry brandy (which unlike normal brandy is only about 20% proof). We were both about eleven at the time, and we were at a big family party (my nan's 50th I think), so my friend and I decided to help ourselves. I woke up the next morning and felt like I'd gone twelve rounds with Mike Tyson, It didn't turn off alcohol, but it certainly taught me moderation.

    Interesting Times

And to think how Frankie came into the story! He really has turned himself around.
  14. Ooh Elliott opens a can of whoop-ass. When are these bullies gonna learn to stop messing with the Curries I do kinda feel sorry for the bully though whose gonna get it from his dad as well, but you reap as you sow. Elliott did need to punished for what he did, and boy did he get punished. When I was younger I got punished worse for doing far less, so he gets no sympathy here
  15. Well Zombie, then I suggest you do not read my short story "School Dance" That would be the 2009 version
  16. I feel so sorry for Elliott. Been there, fallen for the wrong person, just about lived to tell the tale - I was fourteen at the time, so of course my life and the world was over The next week I was back on the proverbial horse and had a great year and half with my boyfriend of the time. It would be nice if he and Nicky did get together, but I have the feeling they won't. Though it would be fun seeing how Adrian and Marie would cope with that little revelation
  17. I don't have a particular time or have to be in a particular mood to watch a weepie. I love watching My Sister's Keeper and always end up going through half a box of tissues.
  18. It would have to be a beehive for me
  19. And another contender for Ricky's crown . I think I know who is it, but I hope you manage to surprise me. Ricky really seems off. Must continue reading to find out why.

A great first chapter, really well written. You set the scenes really well, and Mum is so overbearing - I love her. I want more please.
  22. Elliot certainly isn't the easiest child for them to be starting with, but I think he's with the best family to help him.
  23. Yep I am. Just thankful for a change it will be on at a reasonable time. I can remember watching the Atlanta games at three in the morning.
  24. So great to see the old-look site Myr.
  25. You are never too old for a birthday with games and cake and drinking games and ice cream and more games and more cake. I love going to my cousin's kids birthday parties as they are still young enough to have the cake and ice cream. I never plan to grow up. And I hope you had a happy birthday
