SO HAPPY THIS FORUM IS HERE. Can you tell? In any case, I think I'll be the second one to christen this forum with a new post. So tell me--what games are you anticipating for 2012? Mine are: 1) Hitman: Absolution 2) Assassin's Creed 3 3) Resident Evil 6 That's it so far, but I'm waiting for E3 to make up my mind completely. I'm sure they'll have some interesting things to unveil *hereshopingtheytalkaboutfinalfantasyversusxiiibutimnotholdingmybreath*

Only on certain guys and only a little bit. Full-on beards or scraggly getting-there beards are not "hot". A five o'clock shadow or some fuzz in the right place can make a guy look very distinguished and maybe even a bit rugged.

I'll have to check it out when I have a bit of time. This week is going to be just as hectic as the next! D: Tonight I shall take a look-see.

So far it's interesting. I think I'll definitely need to read more to get into the whole kids thing, but so far so good. Other than a few overused exclamation points and some places that I feel could use a bit more detail, you guys have something good going.

Open relationship or polygamy, doomed or working out well?
Dee replied to Marzipan's topic in The Lounge
I'm not the kind of person who--if I ever wanted to be in a relationship--would want to be "open" with other people in sharing my significant other. I won't get into a relationship if the other person doesn't want to be monogamous, so problem solved. If I can find someone who feels the same way I do about relationships, that would be great, but my idea of being with someone is not having them sleep with or be involved emotionally/romantically with other people. Then again, that's me. If polygamy or an open relationship works for someone else, that's great, too. I'm not one to judge somebody if those types of things work for them. -
I would like to visit: 1. Japan 2. China 3. Italy 4. Greece 5. Germany 6. Australia I've been to Canada (I'm from the US!), Mexico, The Netherlands and France already and I would happily visit them again.

As a reader, I'm not really sure I care unless there is clever reasoning behind a chapter title. However, if there is a worded chapter title, I prefer it to also be accompanied by numbering so as not to stir up any confusion about which chapter I'm on. As a writer, I tend to use the numbering system. A few years back, I tried to give each chapter a title, but that was a feat in and of itself. I can barely come up with a title for the story much less a title for each chapter. D:

I'm gonna have to say Season 8 provided me with quite a lot of favorites; especially "You Only Move Twice" and "El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer". I adore the episode "Lisa's Wedding". In fact, pretty much any episode from season 3 to season 8 were pure and absolute gold. After 9 and 10, I felt it started to lose it's steam and the charm. While I get a few chuckles from clips I see, I am no longer genuinely laughing my head off as I once was. Now that I'm old enough to get the jokes, the references to culture and subtle wit and cleverness, I appreciate the older episodes a bit more than I did as a younger person.

I am the complete opposite of being able to or wanting to say "I love you" to anyone other than my immediate family. I had a hard time saying it to my mom at some point, but I managed to convince myself that if I did not, I might miss the chance to say it to her should something happen (same goes with the rest of my family). In any case, in a relationship, that just doesn't fly with me. I don't need to hear it nor do I want to hear it. In fact, it makes me highly uncomfortable. I don't even want a relationship much less someone telling me they love me. The words freak me out in that context. I am highly allergic to them!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but when I heard Kavinsky had been used for the opening scene in Drive I had to check it out (on youtube, of course). I find it funny how popular the song is now that the movie used it, but here is the song stuck in my head at the moment:

Name your favourite gay movie. What did you like best about it?
Dee replied to Yuki Winchestor's topic in The Lounge
I'm gonna say Birdcage. It's not necessarily about the gay characters, but Robin Williams and Nathan Lane (especially Nathan Lane) make an absolutely wonderful team. I've always adored Nathan and he is so wonderfully, over the top fem that it's just so dang comical. I know that's what they're going for. Great fun. -
My vote? I'd rather watch hockey. Now that's a sport!

People who wear their heart on their sleeves. And I mean when it's not about an important thing such as social drama, emotions that don't need to be shared with the general public, etc. I guess I'm more of a logical/rational person, so I don't mesh well with people who are overly emotional. I simply do not know how to interact with them in a way that meshes. Another one of mine is anything to do with people driving like an idiot: 1) slow drivers, 2) people who cut you off, 3) people who tailgate, 4) people who do not use their turn signals, 5) people who make a left or a right hand turn from the middle lane on a three-laned, one way street... (yes, I've had this happen), 6) people who don't know how to park; although this one can be funny watching folks try to parallel park. Just general asshattery of people who DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. Drunks or people that do not understand and treat you like you're an alien when you say you 'do not drink'. Basically, people who act like drinking is an expectation at social or isolated events. People who try to act like they're better than you, who put you down and just your average d-baggery when really you've accomplished so much more. Sad. Oh... OH! Work pet peeves (I work at a rather large shoe store, DSW): 1) People who don't put the shoes back in the boxes and leave them scattered on the floor...in FRONT of where you got them, 2) People who leave single shoes lying around as it makes it harder to indentify which box they came from, 3) People back in clearance who leave shoes lying on the floor in front of the open box that's there for you to put it back in with ease, 4) People who come in with an attitude complaining about something that is out of our control or not our fault... The list goes on for that one. People who wear clothing that is two times too small for their bodies... *shudder* Excessive use of emoticons, chat speak and 'glompage' (you know who you are) Let me tell you, the list can go on and on and on. I may add some more later.

I was a bit of a nerd/geek/outcast. I think I had a few bisexual friends, but not outright gay friends. I do now, and I am more of a geek than anything as I enjoy a rousing video game, computers, etc... I can't say for certain what it would've been like back when I had the chance in school, but I do feel somewhat trapped in my situation. I'm not so much of a nerd/geek that I can't function in society, but I also don't always fit in with the hardcore-y-ist (not a word!) of them all.

I think it would be different, yes; however, I was practically taken away from my one and only dad when I was about 11 years old. While my parents got divorced when I was 7, I would still see him every week. And then we moved from Southern California to Oregon where I would only get to see him about once a year -- if that. So really, I don't know what it would've been like if I had my real dad (who I love to death) with me as I grew up. Nor do I know what it would be like with two dads. I think if it works, it works. Doesn't matter what gender your parents are, as long as they raise you with a good belief and moral system.

Out of those, I have read these ones: American Psycho A Clockwork Orange Catch 22 The Great Gatsby Slaughterhouse 5 However, I have read a ton of books, just not too many on those lists, lol. I think I absolutely adored Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho.

According to Billboard, it was the Miami Vice Theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0MEtBQb2yM&feature=related

Hey! Just wanted to drop by and thank my anon reviewer for this lovely commentary. I'm very glad to read you're enjoying the story so far. It's always nice to get a little more detailed review as the reason I'm sharing these stories are to hear what you guys think. As some of you may already know, it is completed but I do have to keep a regular posting schedule. I think I've become a bit sloppy in that regards. In any case, you can fully expect more complications, plot and character development. Like the review says, don't be shy and let me know what you think! I just love the feedback (general comments, questions, concerns with any part of the story)--good or not so good. I look forward to posting more chapters, but it's difficult for me to determine whether people are enjoying the story or not so do not hesitate to speak up. I value all of your comments very much!

I love anime, but I have been disheartened by the junk being spewed out in the last 5-7 years. It's really taken a nose dive in terms of quality and amount of that quality being pumped out. The last good anime I watched that was somewhat newer was House of Five Leaves, and that was an unfortunately short one. Among my favorites are: Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood Ghost in the Shell/Stand Alone Complex Samurai Champloo Monster Cowboy Bebop Neon Genesis Evangelion Paranoia Agent Welcome to the NHK Ergo Proxy Death Note I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any off the top of my head right now. I shall come back and edit it with more later. In any case, you can see I prefer the darker, maybe more adult-themed, somewhat psychologically thrilling ones, but there is some variety in there. All of those are great anime!

Thank you, Krista. I've been told my cheekbones are amazing for pretty much as long as I can remember. Although, I tend to remain pretty modest about that...

I 'spose I'll show my mug: This is when my hair was long(er), although you can't really see it very well because it's pulled back: In any case, this probably a half-year old, but my hair is pretty much the same length. I'd add an inch or so:

I play a variety of games, but I tend to favor ones like Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, GTA, Xenogears, LA Noire...to name a few. xD It's a bit of a wide range, I know, but I am also very picky. I am not a PC gamer, unless you count SimCity! Man, I need to play that again. Very good time killer. Anyway, I just finished Uncharted 3 about three weeks ago and I am starting on Assassin's Creed: Revelations now that my friend and i can play together.

Thank you, Cia. I will definitely do that.
