  1. I met Martha once. She is a biiiiitch.
  2. Ahhh! Im so excited. No joke - rewatching the third season right now.
  3. He is hilarious! Two of my favorites of his, Going Postal and Small Gods.
  4. Dunno if this works but here it goes:
  5. Oh my. Prom was amazing! A perfect weekend. The night started with what we thought would be a bad omen because our limo drivers mom died (very sad) and couldnt drive us, but we made it work. And, by the way, Michael (my date) and I were, by far, the hottest looking and best dancing couple there. Seriously. Hightlights: 1. Getting a hot waiter to dance with me 2. Getting all my friends to dance on the catwalk above the dance floor (it looked SOOO hot!) 3. Getting all my straight guy friends to dance (a few with me) 4. Seeing that we werent the only same sex couple there (two lesbian couples) 5. The ridiculous tonnage of pictures 6. Watching sunrise at the after party in the mountains 7. Watching sunset at the after-after party in Venice beach. Couldnt have been any better.
  6. My prom is tonight. Im going with bunch of friends including my semi/kinda boyfriend Michael. Should be interesting! But then I started to wonder, did you go? And if ya did, with who? Was it fun? So . . . yeah. Just answer.
  7. Kinda. I mean they both said, "No, I'm serious" so yeah. But they were both really nice and they completely understood when I turned them down.
  8. Well, I have no idea. But something related to that, I heard somewhere that gays are more likely to be prone to mental health issues in general, but, if that is true, I think it has more to do with the in the closet gays then anything.
  9. ^It took me a second to realize those were two titles.
  10. It's Not Just About Killing Hookers Anymore http://www.slate.com/id/2190207/
  11. My relationship I had with my parents ended 4 years ago. I think because of it I put more importance on the relationship I have with my friends and the relationship I have with my significant other. So yeah, those are the relationships that I value above all others.
  12. Well, Ive been proposed to. Twice. I dont know whats in the water in New York but bartenders and cabdrivers really like me. And while Ive never been a fan of the idea/institution of marraige, after discussing it first with my partner Id rather be proposed to. Dunno. Personal preference I suppose.
  13. Sounds like the difference between someone who's "Athletic" and someone who's "Muscular".
  14. Ive never read Catcher. But I should. And I forgot about Their Eyes Were Watching God: Hurston and Crime and Punishment: Dostoevsky in the list that I last posted.
  15. Well I liked Antigone more then Hamlet. I was out for a week while we were reading Antigone in class and had about a day to read and analyse it before I had to write an essay on it. But I know that If I spent more time on it I would have liked it more. And Hamlet? No. Just . . . no. I mean, he's such a whiny bitch! I wanted to scream at him, just choose already! As for Wuthering Heights . . . I didn't read it. I mean like, not at all. I just couldn't get into it. It is one of those books that you have to read eventually so I will, just not now. My true favorites of the class were Brave New World, Beloved and Ros and Guil are Dead. Those are followed closely by The Stranger and The Metamorphosis. The writing in Beloved is superior to all others. And there's just nothing like it, from the writing to the themes to the characters. Its hard to explain, but it's technically best book Ive ever read. If you like existentialism youll definitely like The Stranger. Youd probably also like Ros and Guil which is mainly for postmodern fans out there.
  16. I read all these for a Lit class. Recommended are in bold: Antigone: Sophocles Pygmalion: Shaw Hamlet: Shakespeare Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead: Stoppard Wuthering Heights: Bronte Brave New World: Huxley Beloved: Morrison Candide: Voltaire The Stranger: Camus Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man: Joyce The Metamorphosis: Kafka
  17. In my spare time I choreograph for a studio. I usually try to incorperate elements from the video into the moves taught. But anyway here are a few to dance to. Janet Jackson - Rock With You Britney Spears - Me Against the Music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRq-epPA_OM Janet Jackson - So Excited http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCoCxSA-Bss Missy Elliot - Pass That Dutch (skip to 1:07) All I can think of for now.
  18. I have already posted, obviously, but...I have more. One more actually and will post the whole song. Freak On A Leash - Korn f/ Amy Lee Something takes apart of me Something lost and never seen Everytime I start to believe, something's raped and taken from me, from me Life's always gotta be messin with me (You wanna see the light?) Can't they chill and let me be free? (So do I) Can't I take away all this pain? (You wanna see the light?) I try to everynight in vain, in vain Sometimes I cannot take this place Sometimes it's my life I can't taste Sometimes I cannot feel my face You'll never see me fall from grace Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap f*ck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Feeling like a freak on a leash (You wanna see the light?) Feelin like I have no release (So do I) How many times have I felt diseased (You wanna see the light?) Nothing in my life is free...is free Sometimes I cannot take this place Sometimes it's my life I can't taste Sometimes I cannot feel my face You'll never see me fall from grace Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap f*ck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap f*ck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Part of me Part of me Part of me
  19. Lyrics that inspire me? Well Muse has been a huge influence on the series I'm writing. I mean, if you listen to these songs, in this order, and you might get some idea. Here are just some exerpts. Apocalypse Please declare this an emergency come on and spread a sense of urgency and pull us through and pull us through and this is the end this is the end of the world it's time we saw a miracle come on it's time for something biblical to pull us through and pull us through and this is the end this is the end of the world Butterflies And Hurricanes change, everything you are and everything you were your number has been called fights, battles have begun revenge will surely come your hard times are ahead best, you've got to be the best you've got to change the world and you use this chance to be heard your time is now don't, let yourself down don't let yourself go your last chance has arrived Falling Away With You I can't remember when it was good moments of happiness elude maybe I just misunderstood all of the love we left behind watching the flash backs intertwine memories I will never find so I'll love whatever you become and forget the reckless things we've done I think our lives have just begun I think our lives have just begun and I'll feel my world crumbling, and I'll I feel my life crumbling and feel my soul crumbling away and falling away, falling away with you Now thats not it of course, I won't reveal the whole story, but while rereading they come to mind. And so do T.S. Eliot's The Hollow Men and Robert Browning's Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came.
  20. Pandora helps also. An online radio station, tell it what you like and itll give you related songs. Other than that, some specific song titles would give me a better understanding of what youre into.
  21. I won Best Male Performer, Best Male Solo and 2nd place in a soloist competition yesterday. Yay! Go me! Edit: I forgot, I sang "Transformer" by Gnarls Barkley. An acoustic version, look it up on Youtube to listen.
  22. Just in general, what are your favorite euphemisms for anything? Here are mine for stupid: The wheel is turning but the hampster is dead. A few steers short of Texas. Hoomschooled by poodles. When he thinks, the rest of the world prays. He's just as happy as if he had good sense. She is wisest when quoting others. He means well... I think his head is just for looks.
  23. No no, watch. See that? Im actively not thinking about it. [pause] Wait...damn, I thought about it. *sigh* Its "myrrh".
