I just got invited to watch a local team, so I'm gonna go. I hear it a lot of fun. I love hockey but I despise how professional athletes think they deserve more and more pay. It's just a game. I play college football and if I'm lucky enough to be drafted into the NFL, which I seriously doubt, I will be honored just to be able to play the sport I love and get paid for it.

So, I was talking to some of my friends from high school last night, and we started talking about all the stupid things we did together. One of the best memories I have from high school, was right after I got outted and the whole beating/hospital thing, my best friend, Scott, and a few of the other guys from the team (the ones that stood up for me and helped me deal with all of that crap) went out for a camping trip one weekend. We each were supposed to bring food and drinks and whatnot. Well, I brought these fruit drink things that were frozen. I didn't really know they were concentrated and had to be mixed. (I was really kinda stupid about things like that) So, anyway, we ended up mixing them with vodka and getting so drunk that we all just passed out. Another time, I was driving my dad's new car. We didn't exactly steal it per se', we just acquired it for the night without exactly getting permission. Scott had this road flare thing that he set off and was holding it outside the window as I drove. A cop saw us and turned around to come after us so I stopped in a parking lot and Scott threw the flare into the trunk and we tried to act like nothing was wrong and we were just chillin there. As the cop was talking to us and had our id's and whatnot, he asked us about the flare and Scott was like "what flare, sir?" just then the trunk started smoking really bad cause the trink was on fire. The cop just told us to turn around and look for ourselves. SMH -___- Needless to say, we set my dad's new car on fire. He was not too happy when the cops call him to come pick me up. Then, there was the whole getting banned from a Denny's and a salt shaker ending up being shoved down the front of my pants and me trying to pretend nothing was wrong. So, yeah, my senior year was a blast and we all acted so stupid LMFAO. I still cannot believe that we all graduated much less started college.

I've never really gotten into all the Christmas hype, so I really don't have any favorites. I kinda just lay low this time of year and hope I can go unnoticed.

I got a santa sled and reindeer mohawk for my motorcycle helmet, does that count?

I drive a 2012 Honda CBR600RR (it's a motorcycle, if ya didn't know.) I love riding on her, she's my baby. I really want to get an XBR1200, but i think if I had one now, i'd just end up dead on some country road, cause I'd be doing something stupid.

Well, thanks everyone. I actually talked to him tonight. He asked me what was wrong cause I started avoiding his calls and texts. So, I just told him how I felt. He just sat there for a lil while then said that he loves me too, but like a brother. We talked for a lil over an hour and now, I guess it's pretty clear to me, so I am gonna move on. So, we'll see. -____- I'm not sad, really, but just feel a lil empty. At least I have exams to face, so I'll be too busy to think about it anymore.

Yeah I know. The Trainer just gave me a lecture about that too. Everyone is telling me to just chill. I see a specialist on Thursday. It just sucks to be so in love with this guy knowing that NOTHING will ever happen. Everyone here just thinks it just some kid crush, but it's more than that. smh

Yeah my coach said that exact same thing. I just need to prove that I can play and that I contribute to the team. It's just me being overly competitive. I finished the paper and already emailed it to my professor. Lol, yeah I made him buy me breakfast AND lunch today. He admitted to me that they didn't have sex last night and that they are just going to be friends. Ha ha, I am a lil relieved about that, but I know I shouldn't. He's as str8 as they come Anyway, I go see a Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Surgeon on Thursday -___- My mom sent me $200 today and I never told her I was broke. I guess it's just a Mom thing that she knew

Ok, so yeah. Today sucked! I got hurt in Saturday's game and haven't been able to get a good night's sleep since. Now, it's Sunday night and I have a s#@t load of studying to do, a paper to finnish and I'm freaking hungry! Oh, yeah, I have like NO MONEY!!! And, the dude I am totally in love with just asked me if he could use my dorm room to "spend some time with his new gf" and being the completely pathetic person that I am, I said yes. Sigh. So, I'm sitting here, in the library, by myself while he is with her in MY room. I'm not sure when I'll be able to play again cause the Dr. said I'll be out for the season. I may need surgery. So, it looks like any prospects of going to a bigger school is out. I can't even ride my bike cause of this stupid ankle. I can't afford gas anyway, so whatever. Anyway, that's my lil self-pitty rant.

Okay, so I have searched for and read just about every story I could find on this site about high school aged coming of age. Unfortunately all too many are incomplete and have not been updated in quite a while. So, my question here is two-fold... Firstly, is it accepted practice here to allow authors to post incomplete work while still listing it as in-progress? Secondly, does anyone know of where I may find stories involving high school themes? A lot of what is available here just doesn't interest me and Nifty just seems too sketchy.

No, definitely not. I was not prepared for it. When it happened most of my so-called friends turned their backs to me. If it wasn't for my best friend sticking by me and then rallying the majority of the team to support me, I would have quit and prolly dropped out of school all together. There were still some who deliberately tried to hurt me - physically hurt me. I got jumped one night after getting off the bus and changing in the locker room. When I walked outside I got hit over the head then got beaten. It was really ugly, the police were called, I ended up in the hospital and the school "investigated" but never found out who did it. I think I know who they were but it's all in the past now. I can't change it. Now, playing college ball, the locker room is a challenge but, mostly it's just mocho talk. Most of the guys apologize if they see me.

Thanks, I do read quite a bit, both for school and for recreation. I have also been reading many of the stories here, even before I registered to join this site. I guess I'm just writing a story as to comes to me but my characters are lacking any deapth and I really don't want to over do it and make my readers bored, but I want my characters to seem like real people.

I'm openly gay (I was outed so no need to go hind it) and an athlete. I play football for a small college and being gay definitely hindered my chances of playing for a larger school. But, interestingly I'm being re-recruited but some major schools. It's not easy for me in the locker room (no, Im not drooling over my team mates) but because of the tension of everyone trying their best not to say something offensive. I had to sit down with them one day this summer and explain that it's okay to make jokes and call something gay and all that crap...even I call some things gay - it's just an expression. On the field, I play as hard and as good as I can and I think that has earned their respect.

That's right. I got hooked on a story and couldn't stop reading it and ended up missing two classes. Ha ha, it's a good thing i'm an honor's student
