One would expect these sorts of piles in Canada. For NJ (about 350 miles south and east) these numbers are record breakers. Last time we had this much in one go was 30 yrs ago!
I may need to upgrade to a 2 quilt alarm. They are now saying it will start Sunday morning instead of afternoon and upped the total accumulation prediction to 18 - 24 inches.

WHERE IS MY QUILT???
I won! I won!
His disability insurance payment ( 15 weeks worth) finally showed up last Thursday. Came as a debit card that they will deposit future pmts to directly. Had a glitch in it would not allow an ach transfer to my checking accnt from which I have auto payments scheduled and the Tax office does not accept debit or credit card payments. That ment withdrawal @ the max of $500 a day till I moved enough to pay the taxes on two parcels.
After an extended conversation with a csr @ the TDI bank they FINALLY fixed what ever was blocking the ach transfers!
I WON! I WON!
We are being rained on @ 35*f atm. Supposed to get to the high 40's but I will believe that when it happens. Long range is saying the cold white stuff Sunday into Monday but they cant agree on how much. Low threat is a dusting. Most belligerent threat is saying 6". I will wait till Friday ish to see if I have to look for my hiding quilt!
Metal rat Libra here.
The 1960 Chinese zodiac is the Metal Rat, with the Lunar Year of the Rat beginning on January 28, 1960, and ending on February 14, 1961. Those born in 1960 (between these dates) are characterized as intelligent, resourceful, and charming, with the Metal element adding strength, discipline, and a focused, goal-oriented nature to their personality.
FINALLY got a reply out of the disability insurance peeps. Approved pending his jobs approval. Still no payments but a statement of what he is eligible for. Works out to 85% of his regular wage for approximately 20 weeks. The problem? He has already been out of work 14 weeks. At this rate his benefits will run out before he gets them!
I have a lap afghan (lapghan?) working. Basic granny square center with working around to size. Has gotten to the point where it is big enough that you don't see the growth with each row, and now seems like it takes forever!
Just finished up morning chores @ the barn. We have a heat wave! 35*f !
Sat down in the truck and flipped the radio on. SOB weather geeks say it is going to snow/sleet/ general miscellaneous mixed mush on us this afternoon!
Where is my quilt???
Short answer is 12 in one trip using 4 trailers. Two can hold 2 horses each, one of which has had modifications to allow the safe movement of small ponies and mini horses. The other two can hold four horses each. One of my drivers is currently out of the loop as hubby is still healing after the amputation of 3 toes, and and my daughter's truck is buried in a snow bank right now. The new barn was only 3 miles from the start point so we made three trips of 6, 6, and 5 horses.
