I still have my snow shovel by the front door. My season supply of sunscreen has been procured. I should not, however, need to use both in the same week, but this year I have!

Never have, but will try any critter once. Have done alpaca, cows, pigs and goats. Goats were interesting. Put one in and he managed to excape before we got #2 in, took 4 of us to keep 1 & 2 in while getting the 3rd in and then humans out without having to start over. Then we could not get the little buggers out again! Once they discovered the hay they laid down to eat. Edit to add A friend who has one tells me they can be temperamental. Fine and cooperative one minute then have what he calls a yak out. He says if he needs to move it he mildly sedated it.

When did we name the yak Bill?? Did I miss something???

Lmao! My daughter's dog ( a rescue mutt) tries to con a second dinner out of one of us on a regular basis, especially if someone is out at dinner time. She gets fed on schedule, then tries to con the one coming in late!

Wait till supper time. The pups will REALLY get confused when the food and the clock dont match.

Unfortunately by the time PD is involved, good has usually ended long before.

Oh, and a second patrol car was called in because each side kept running over to interrupt as the patrol man tried to talk to the other.

Good lord! I thought barn drama was over the top. Add divorce drama and police get involved! Got a call to move 2 horses off a farm. Lady running the farm is divorcing the guy trainer. Manure hit the air circulation device yesterday and she bans him from the property, get them off by end of business Sunday. HE scrambles to get stall space somewhere they will let him teach, and calls me to move em. She tosses a fit and says the horse belonging to him cant leave the property because it is community property. He had the foresight to have PD escort come with us. Finally agree that the one horse can leave but the other was staying pending return calls.from both lawyers. We load 1 and go. I'm half way to the new barn and get a call come get #2 . Apparently her lawyer called back and said the horse was bought after the separation and therefore not community property. In the meantime other horse owners are gathering to watch the double drama. A couple even pulled out lawn chairs! What should have been 30 minutes from load to unload has taken most of the day. I asked for an extra $20 to cover the yoyo miles. The owner of the first horse decided I went above and beyond and added a $60 tip!

That's not a yoyo. It's a super roller coaster.

Enjoy! The weather geeks are cursing @ us again. After 3 days of 70*+ sunshine the twits used the "s" word and for once they were right.

First show of the season in the books. Why does someone always want to go play on time change day? I get up at stupid thirty on show days to start with! Springing ahead and my body insists I am getting up @ 3 am!

OK. Daylight savings time doesn't mess with people enough, so hubby decided to get ahead of things an already changed the clocks!

Pine shavings are excellent for stall bedding. Much easier to keep clean than straw. Takes a bit longer to compost. Just trying to make your yak comfy

First snowplow finally went down our street after we went to bed. The driveway Wings and her boyfriend had down to blacktop now has a 3 ft roll of ice between my truck and the road. I am thinking I may go back into hiding when she looks out the front window.
