  1. Well its done now. Put it behind you and get a jump on this weeks assignments.
  2. We have him too. The lady comes in several times a week to do the not every day chores. Butler does the every day stuff like dishes etc!
  3. I could swear I replied to this already! Comfy furs on the floor, but well behaved pups and kittens are allowed on the furniture around here. The cleaning lady says she doesn't mind vacuuming frequently.
  4. If they don't know a word, or cannot fathom it out through context, then they are adults (well, physically) and can open a damn dictionary!
  5. LOL I am always up at this hour dear. Horses get turned out at 8, so breakfast has to be in their feed dishes by 7 which means I leave the house at 6 latest. I just have never learned to sleep in on my day off! Shhhh - don't tell the peeps at the barn I have nothing planned for today. They think I am busy all day! I MIGHT actually get my day off, off!
  6. Good morning all. Glad you enjoyed your visit Zen!
  7. Actually, Randy is right, I can be a real kick ass, especially if someone i love is being hurt in some way. I am pretty easygoing though and takes a lot to make me angry. That's what the cushioned benches along the walls are for. Good morning all!
  8. I am crashing early. Good night everyone. Have a great evening!
  9. first thing in the morning! I am so tired right now I would end up looking at outer Mongolia!
  10. OK gang - I am going to crash early. Sleep well all, and don't forget to bank the fire when the last one turns in!
  11. Spring is a good time to do barns anyway. You can identify the soft spots that would turn to mud holes and plan around them.
  12. Well how can I help with that if it's after the fact?!?!?!?
  13. LOL yep. I get to teach you there!
  14. slice from stem to stern, scoop out the center leaving about a quarter inch wall. Dice the innards and add to the stuffing, stuff and bake until just soft. If it goes to mush you baked too long!
  15. lol that is the basic! I don't really work from recipes, everything is to taste.
  16. Probably too late for tonight but how about stuffed eggplant? I brown what ever kind of ground meat strikes my fancy and drain, slice an eggplant in half and hollow out leaving about a quarter inch wall, saute the insides and then mix that and the meat into my basic Italian stuffing (goodly amounts of garlic and Parmesan cheese is what makes it Italian) and then stuff back into the eggplant. Bake @ 350* for about 25 to 30 min, until eggplant shell is turning soft. I usually plan about 1/4 to 1/2 eggplant per person depending on the size. Reheats beautifully in the microwave for lunch too!
  17. If the light fuzz on the shoulders is any indication I would say it's a good bet!
  18. Did you look under the cushion in the sofa?
  19. Only one marble? And here I thought you lost em all! Mine are still in the jar on the shelf, right where I can find them if I need them!
  20. Try some baroque chamber music. They say it is excellent for study and concentration. Something about the number of beats opening the memory center.
  21. Yep! Powder room is down the hall to the right, sleeping quarters with in suite's are up stairs and in the basement, Jacuzzi in the main bath, and laundry and pantry thru the small door in the kitchen.
  22. Odd, but the horses all seem to know exactly when a half hour lesson is complete.
  23. If you look, the doors to the right fold back to a sun room, essentially doubling the size of the kitchen, without making it like running cross country to cook. Your room is down there to make it easy to keep quiet, dark and cool in case of bad headaches.
  24. Good morning all! Clock may say 6 am, but horses dont care what clocks say, breakfast should be at normal time regardless. Easier this time of year than spring. They dont seem to mind being fed early! Come spring it takes the better part of a week feeding 10 min later every day for them to adjust.
