    Birds abound in the barn, most notably the grain room. We have tried putting up screening etc to keep em out but so far no luck. The little feathered freaks worked together to pull a spot down. I found it easier (and safer) to make friends. They stay out as i fill dinner buckets, and in return i leave a heafty handfull of grain on a shelf for them. Call it the cost of doing business.

    My daughter never felt the last quake we had here, but did text me and ask why her jeep was doing the jitterbug while parked. Quakes happen so seldom in NJ the possibility never crossed her mind.

    Oh, several come to mind. PMS, menstruation, pregnancy to name a few.

    Here we go again. Wicked t storms, tornado watch over more than half the state, and flood watch for the other half. Wings had the power knocked out when lightning hit the pole in front her place. They are fine, but i think she jumped out of her shoes!

    Severe weather passed to the north last night. No reports of injury or deaths yet but lots of damage. One highschool is closed due to damage. Got another round of storms taking aim for this afternoon and evening, and flood watches are up. May get interesting, since one farm i teach at is along a riverthat is close to flood stage. Horses will be fine as they are in the upper pastures, but the house, barn, and riding arena might have issues. Owner is overly cautious, so i expect a call cancelling.

    We have tornado watches up in New Jersey, a rarity here.

    Hardest part of my day is over too, getting up when the alarm goes off! Once I am up, even the roughest days go quick.

    Nope, I agree with you 100%. Hey gang. Great day at the show. A tad hotter than I like, but... Wish they still sold the combo sunscreen/bug repellent around here. If I put sunscreen on it seems I must be hanging a free lunch sign on my back!

    Shhhhh, be werry werry qwiet. I have tomorrow is supposed to be a day off and am going to shut off my phone. If I am REALLY lucky I might get a whole day off!
