I had a similar experience, saw someone in passing a few minutes before he shot himself. For a long time I wondered if there was something I could have, should have done differently. I ended up writing him several letters expressing what I felt.
women do tend to plan suicide, and do things like pills, running cars in a garage, etc. From what you describe I wonder if she was high or manic, and thought she could fly or was supergirl & could stop the train.
I would guess Preston Road (TX 289) north to US 380 west into Denton, or maybe TX 114 north-west to US 377 north into Denton. http://www.texasfreeway.com/Dallas/historic/road_maps/1974DFWmcnally.html
Swings and slides, monkey bars and such. Instead we have indoor inflatable play grounds. Those any safer?
Other things that were in our play room that aren't readily available today: chemistry sets and microscopes (the glass slides aren't safe), the pans for my toy kitchen were oven safe (I did make pies in the real oven), metal child sized construction vehicles that could actually haul some weight or push dirt around.
I loved the chapter. I wonder if "Warning" is a coincidence. How will Sue react to the scarf?
I love the Mr. Cheng cared enough to make sure someone was there for Jay when he got his mother's effects. Keep writing.
I have gotten together with exes over coffee to catch up on old times. The only way I would consider dating again, though, is if the relationship ended because one moved because of job, education or family issues. After all, there is a reason they are exes, but they could become friends.
The Red Hat Society does use the same poem, but they seem to have a different understanding of the poem than I do.
I'm glad my story brought back good memories.
Ok, the start was slow and it took me a while to get into the story. Now I'm hooked. Kind of like reading Tom Clancy, really slow in the beginning, but when the action starts, wow!
I'm looking forward to more of this story, and where the characters are going.
