I'm glad you liked it. Hopefully my future works will live up to your expectations.
  2. Many commercial buildings end up abandonned when seized for delinquent property tax. Government can't operate the business, can't rent it, can't maintain it so it sits abandonned until sold.
  3. Currently a Roketa JCL 250. Previous vehicles 2007 Kia Rio, 1995 Nissan Sentra got in 2005, 1995 Kia Sephia, 1993 Mazda 323 which I owned until it was smashed in 2005 called Dauntless because nothing seemed to bother it and my first car a 1991 Dodge Shadow, called Ymp from the license plate but also because it would die on me at the weirdest times.
  4. I'm not sure if this is a hoax, but the thought it nice. I wish there were more grandfathers like this: http://themetapicture.com/a-mother-disowned-her-son-for-being-gay/
  5. How can I answer this without being political? I feel that the two sentences I quoted are wrong. No wars? I was aware of many wars growing up and in my early adult years. Assassinations? There were some, and many unsuccessful attempts. Social upheaval? Well, staying out of politics, we are the computer generations. The first generation for computers to be affordable to most people, and not take up entire floors of buildings. Writing this I think that maybe my generation has been defined by upheaval. We don't have the major midlife crises that result in trophy spouses and Harley motorcycles in the garages because we never had time to become comfortable and stagnant. Life: job market, economy, technology, etc. changes so fast that we are always adjusting. As to how I'm entering the later 40's and 50's, the same as before, rapidly adjusting my plans and goals to the world around me.
  6. We have several of those type of recipes, here's what hubby calls "Poor Man's Stroganoff" 1 package egg noodles 1 small package frozen peas 1-2 pounds ground beef, chicken or turkey 1-2 T cooking oil (optional) 4 ounces sour cream 1 can cream of mushroom soup (not the family size) 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce - or more to taste Cook noodles according to instructions on the package while the noodles are cooking, open the frozen peas and put in the strainer/colander brown the ground meat. If using ground chicken or turkey you will need the oil to prevent burning. Drain off grease. When noodles are cooked pour over frozen peas in the strainer/colander. Drain completely and return to pan. Add browned meant, mushroom soup, Worcestershire Sauce and sour cream. Mix well
  7. My grandmother in law always added a can of drained corn kernels to hers. I've tried it with frozen corn too, but make sure you thaw it first.
  8. My family loves Garlic Lime Chicken from McCormick. The recipe packs aren't available anymore, but I bought the spices and made up my own jar of spice mix, without the salt. http://www.mccormick.com/Recipes/Main-Dishes/Recipe-Inspirations-Garlic-Lime-Chicken-Fajitas

    Chapter 1

I liked the chapter. The blurb mentions ghosts, but no ghosts yet? I think I'm impatient to get to the real action....
  11. blank canvases?

  13. A group of teens pick on the smallest and oddest student in class. It becomes second nature, and he's ignored by all. One boy decides to befriend his classmate and saves himself from Nature's Wrath in the process.
  14. I like that nature wasn't female, and yet played a central role. Very good story.
  15. Slightly off subject, and a little late, but don't forget to change your smoke/fire alarm batteries.

    Chapter 1

Enjoyable. I like how the gods/goddesses physically manifested the problems of their realms. It was interesting to think of deities from one mythology helping deities from another solve a problem that affects all.
  17. Happy Birthday wings.

    Chapter 10

I like the twist and turns, but not the cliff hanger. I hope you update soon.

    warning

Thank you for leaving a review. James may have spent a long time hiding, but did find the courage to stop.
  20. I see the custody issue as moving towards children's rights, away from mothers/fathers. As for the name, it's common to bow to family pressure on the first name and call the child by their middle name, or something else altogether.
  21. I was looking for more stories from an author I read elsewhere and found this site. I read anonymously for about 2 years. Then my youngest sister told me she was bi, then gay, then bi, etc. Not long after my step-daughter admitted to being Bi. Both were disappointed at my casual acceptance. I joined to get to know others with differing sexuality for greater exposure to something outside my normal life.

    Doubts

So I've been told to leave a review. How about: yuck, awful... Seriously it was as good as usual. Interesting side plot with Cody, hopefully he can keep the secret. I like how things are developing with Ethan. We could all use a friend who has our back like Ethan has Josh's and Jacob's.

    Prompt 301

I couldn't stop reading. At the end I wanted to throttle the main character though.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. The plot bunnies are nibbling, so there may be more short stories.
