    I work with children and they usually just give me chocolates and candles....did also get a bar of soap this year. This year one family gave me a present that wasn´t weird as such but...It was a torch (flashlight) which is very useful but it is pink and in the package it said a lady torch. Why would women need their own torches and in pink? So now I have a small and pink torch. Pink has never been my colour anyway

    In my family we give most gifts to the children. I got a nightie, plenty of chocolates and a bottle of Australian white wine.

    In Finland we eat our main Christmas meal at Christmas Eve evening. Lots of fish (no lutefisk in our table), meat, vegetable casseroles and ham.

    Sweet chapter Eli is so good to Noah and treats him so nicely. Why is Derek bothering Eli? Does he want Noah back or does he just want Noah to be alone? Derek is so creepy I hope Noah accepts Eli´s invitation and won´t be alone at Christmas, that would be so sad.

    Haven´t seen proper northern lights in many years (lovely picture). Wonderful story, I could feel the coldness and warmth from the fire and darkness, and it was nice to read something that is so familiar. I´m not sure I could live in Lapland, I think it´s too dark even here in the south, constant darkness for weeks probably would be too much for me and my sanity.

    Beautiful chapter Everybody is happy again and hopefully staying like that. Now they all know better and won´t be suggesting taking anyone else into their bed. And they managed to stay friends after everything that went on.

    It was nice to learn more about Matt´s past. Hope Matt and Alan have some great times together, and perhaps Alan learns to love and receive love more openly and sincerely, because he deserves all the happiness there is in offer and so does Matt

    No wonder Alan was a bully, growing up with a father who is capable of beating a 6-year-old for kissing another boy. That is terrible. Glad he is getting nicer and hopefully he and Matt can find a way to be together, be boyfriends. I think that´s what Alan needs, love and being loved.

    I absolutely loved this story, loved all the Englishness, loved your writing style, loved the characters (most of them anyway). I better go and see what else there is about them all. Thank you for this wonderful story

    Wonderful chapter! Dave´s dad isn´t the best dad but at least he didn´t throw his son out, so perhaps he´ll learn to tolerate and accept a gay son.

    Another brilliant chapter Matt is so sweet, hope he finds someone special to love and who loves him.

    Alan is a two-faced, homophobic, gay coward, if that makes any sense. If you like or love someone you don´t hurt them by doing and saying cruel things. Alan might fancy Nick but he needs to do a lot of thinking about how to treat other people. Dave´s parents won´t certainly win any parent of the year awards! Truly ghastly people

    I sometimes read reviews but very rarely. I read some from last chapter and your comment. Can´t say that I understand why people stopped reading. Any kind of violence is terrible but that happens in real life so why not in fiction. And you do write those scenes tactfully. Dave did well protecting Nick from his father.

    Didn´t expect Craig to be that horrible. Poor Nick! His life really isn´t easy. They should have gone to the police, they could have told Jason, but I can understand why they did neither of those. Bruises will still be there so it won´t be too late to charge Craig with assault. I love the way you write this story. You make me feel very strongly about everything that is happening.

    Matt and Chas pleasantly surprised me and even Alan at the end showed some improvement. They could all be good guys after all. Wonder how Dave´s dad´ll react to this new friendship. Wonderful chapter

    That was horrible for Nick, glad he has Dave to comfort him and just be there with him. Craig is obviously better person than I thought, hope he stays that way and won´t hurt Zoë. Brilliant writing...my heart is still beating too fast...

    Brilliant chapter I have a bad feeling about Matt, and Alan probably will cause a lot of trouble when he finds out about Nick and Dave.
