Thank you, Parker. It’s got me thinking too, really. I think there’s more to this poem than I thought there was when I wrote it years ago... Isn’t that strange?
the wind is blowing through the trees
and the sky is bright red in the north, north-east
the summer moon is just half full
but it’s shining more brightly than ever
the birds have all gone to sleep long ago
and the night is so bright and i love this so
the still and calm just before the dawn
as the summer seems to last forever
but i know that it isn’t forever
and that’s all right with me
because you, my love, are not here right now
but
Yeah, I get what you mean.
I feel bad for Oslo’s school children. Friday is this city wide winter sports day, where school kids go ski or skate or snowboard or whatever, but it’ll probably be a bit less fun without snow if it all thaws by then...
Excellent word! A clear favourite of mine.
Good morning DiC! Hope you’re all well. It got warm again here so the snow that fell last night is thawing. It’s gonna stay warm for the next few days with no precipitation, so hopefully it won’t get too slippery.
Have a good day, all!
The actual breed name is Norwegian Lundehund, But lundehund means puffin dog, so I just translate, lol! They’re bred for hunting puffins. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Lundehund
Well, now that people in my timezone are starting to wake up to go to work and stuff, I should probably get some sleep... Think I'm tired enough now. Goodnight, everybody!
Fox terriers are cool.
I've never had a dog of my own, but I've grown up with a lot of dogs around me. My older brother had two Siberian huskies when I was a kid. My aunt had a Groenendael when I was little, named Glory, but when Glory died she ended up with two papillons instead. She said if you get two of them it's like having one big dog, lol! A different aunt raises puffin dogs. I've always just had cats, though.
So I found this video that's really interesting and I thought I'd share.
Is there anyone on this site who speaks or spoke Polari? Do you have experience with a similar language/cant? Cause I find this stuff extremely interesting.
