Everett and Kohen seriously need some downtime with just the two of them. They have barely had time to breathe! The capture went easy, yes, but that is to be expected with their level of experience. Now comes the interrogations and who knows what will come out of that. Everett may want a peaceful and quiet retirement, but Captain will not stop until everything has been put to rights. Maybe They can be each other’s peace while the chaos rages around them.

Poor Kohen! I know how it feels being locked in your body and aware; it’s scary shit and frustrating. I agree with him that it is not going to be as easy as Captain said, but Captain has an iron will and will make it happen!

So I am guessing this is why the isolation and body suit? The hardware in Kohen’s brain constantly searched for a connection and made it easy for the Brox to send signals to him. Lacking the signals and finally getting real skin touch with emotional backing created a different type of connection for Kohen, and thus the bond. Am I close?

No! Heart-wrenching is the on,y word I can think to describe this chapter. This is also the perfect example of why people should not eavesdrop as well. Oh, our poor Captain and poor Kohen.

I am so cursing the word count right now; you know that, right? I am so proud of Kohen right now! He damn near breaks my heart, but the Captain will give him what he needs and can handle, and only what he can handle. ❤️❤️

I cannot help but snicker thinking you red-shirted that guy! Kohen is showing himself to be very resourceful and while I hate that he’s so cynical, it is to be expected with what he’s experienced. I hope some good comes his way soon to balance it out.

Wowzers! “So I did.” Stopped a shuttle in motion by himself. Cohen amazes me. Why do I get the image of Captain’s jaw dropping and then him face palming. Because I have to say, I don’t think that is “taking it easy”.

I so did a booty-shake of happiness when I saw this chapter!! It kind of felt like getting to visit with distant friends or relatives. These guys are part of my literary family so please keep the visits coming. Looking forward to seeing what Pat has in store for them.

Ss’merit is definitely giving me bad joojoo and not just because of the tenuous ties to the Consortium. He’s too pushy when it comes to Kohen. I think a useful job/activity would help Kohen a great deal. It would offer a chance to get out of his own head and feel like he’s contributing something.

My heart is bleeding for Kohen! He’s so vulnerable and scared. I wish Captain would just hold him and say “I would be jealous of him because I want you to be mine.”

I am hoping with all my heart that the fact Kohen is able to tell Captain all this makes this time different! Although the chances of another lab being able to control him if they get near him is still scarily possible since the tech is still in his head. The story just gets better and better and I want to eviserate those aliens more and more as we learn everything they did to poor Kohen.

Absolutely loving the story as always. Poor Kohen just keeps getting things thrown at him, but I am glad to see he was able to volcaluze some of his trauma. Best way to purge the poison inside. I also loved that he remembered the suit was gone and he could physically comfort himself now.
