It's all thanks to your encouragement while I was in rehab recovering from my surgeries...you counselled patience and kept me in touch with my friends at GA, and that kept my vision of this chapter alive before I could get it online. I was worried it wasn't as good as the rest, since it was done in a new fashion, but you made it as seamless a transition as possible, and I'll never be able to thank you enough for that. On to Easter Sunday!!

Lit, without your help converting the chapter to a format Gary could read is what made this work! I've ordered a new version of Word, so he'll have an easier time...and you can get some rest. Greg is a man of hidden talents, as Denny may find out after a few more 'treatments'...Benny has learned a few things from his brother Finn, but has a long way to go. His blush when he told his friends he tore his clothes workiing out was cute, and probably had Cal blushing too!

Thanks Tim for such a great review--I've only seen the movie on tape, so the live experience is based on Kit's description and how I felt watching it at home with some friends. Don't worry about Mikey--he is only addicted to chocolate. And Jay....Coming up is Easter Sunday, and we'll finally see the letter scene. You could rent a copy of the film, and Kobenhavn is full of blonds isn't it? hehehe.

Chapter 53 Two Winning Hands
ColumbusGuy commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 53 Two Winning Hands
There was so much good stiff in this one, it's hard to decide what was the most touching, but I'd have to go for Bodie's present to Nate. We already knew Mark was moving forward in his acceptance of Nate, so it was just icing on the cake that he accepted Bodie as well--and it showed a new level of their relationship that he asked Nate's opinion about what to do with the business. I laughed my butt off at the 'Get the hose' comment, the dynamic between the family members is just so comforting and familiar. It's a shame not all gay kids can have such an experience--my father wasn't as accepting, though my mom would have been okay with it. On to the next one, my dear friend! -
ccI'm so glad you liked it, SD. This could have been longer with the time it spent rattling around in my head, but I took mercy on y'all. I had planned having the truck sanding starting, but that will be coming up next, along with Easter at Jay's. Could be some fun times with the joke letters, and having Miles' parents meet Jay's.

Thanks for the kind words, Caz. I had this chapter floating in my head for two months with no way to write it. I got my new computer on my birthday, and my good friend flew in from California to get it for me and install software which narrates the desktop and web pages. It also tells me what I'm typing, so that is how I can write again. A huge part of my life is back, if not quite as good as before. Gary and Lit made this happen, so give them some kind words too.

POV: Mikey, Greg …Michael Rennie was ill The Day The Earth Stood Still… I was still confused by the encounter in the lobby as we entered the theater and took our seats, having no idea who Brad Majors was, and all Dave and Trebor did was laugh at it when Jay told them. We had watched as other people took their seats, and I would have sat near the middle of the room, but our older friends guided us to a spot three rows from the back—‘for safety’—as Trebor put it. I expected them to sit togeth

Okay, who doesn't see this as a bad decision? There are only a couple questions: will the two go to Portland? Will Chris wise up and make his own life choices now? How long until Michael gets put down for good? I was really hoping Ethan was going to be turned, but it's nice to see Aiden being a full partner and not just a one-dimensional dominant male. He will make an awesome Alpha when the time comes. More please, WolfM!!

Except for a certain scene, a nice chapter! I'm only partially happy with the scene where David and his father talk--the man is still blind to what is going on, though he has bonded more with his son. Will he go back to his ivory tower and let the forces of evil reign? That is a strong tendency, and he hasn't shown the will to fight it. Nels has every right to feel shame over how David feels about HER--it was his and Gary's pushing which got him together with the bitch in the first place...maybe he realizes now he wasn't a good friend. I don't see Gary making that connection. Twoey is in for major pain tomorrow...David might be on his way out of his relationship--IF he finds the courage--but he's already put the Greg condition on it. That doesn't mean he's ready to be what Twoey needs. Maybe he never will be. I've got my fingers crossed for Twoey, but Sunday isn't going to be a good day for him. More please!

Chapter 20 It’s Hard Not to Get Hard
ColumbusGuy commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in Chapter 20 It’s Hard Not to Get Hard
Hmm, who knew that painting and learning about being an estate executor could be so much fun? I am so glad Peter got to meet Will's partner, and hope it will be many years before he needs to administer his great uncle's estate. More please, Tallguy! -
A wonderful chapter, Wolf! Ethan will make a great addition to the pack with his views on including the other shifters as much as possible...maintaining some things just for the wolves is necessary, but they are part of a community, as we see at the 4th of July festival...it will make them stronger to include the other shifters as part of it. I know the Alpha has kept his views to himself, so it is no surprise that the Council wonders about their decision, but he has directed them to disregard Michael's status, so that must be the way forward. He knows that an Alpha is not always going to be the son of the current one--what takes priority for a good leader is the welfare of the community, not his personal feelings. He sees now what his son is, and will make the right choice to have Michael put down, I think, though it may hurt his heart to do it. There is no option considering the way Michael's head is so twisted. I wonder if Ethan's wolf will be as special as his human form--will it have a blue tinge to its fur? More please!!

A good and thought-provoking chapter, Elias! In all Matt's section, I kept thinking one thing: I see why he is the way he is, if he thinks the way his parents act toward him is love. I don't see it as a nurturing kind, but a cold and distant overseeing that he live up to what they expect. As long as he appears to be what they want, they're content. 'You made your bed--now lie in it'...what kind of love and support is that for a child of any age, especially one who needs emotional support? Andy's parents are much better, but perhaps too lenient? I hope the consequences of this new foursome aren't too damaging for the boys...but I can see Andy is going to be hurt once more. More please, and thank you for sharing this story with us!

I've got the warm and fuzzies, G-Man, but that's a good thing. Once again, Kendall saves the day for Nate, and his uncles show him the right path. If he follows their example, he'll be a happy man when he grows up, and I'd lay money that will be with Bodie. I'm so glad that Josh reached out to Nate...friendship won out after all, and with his mom, Nate, and possibly Nate's dad, he can get through this. Nate won't let him down, even at a distance. Ah, the 'b-word'...these two are special, and they don't take that word lightly--they know what it entails, and are as ready as they can be for its ramifications. More please, my friend!

At last, a chapter without Fran! Since Robbie's had gay sex again, you can wheel him back into the closet to continue the charade with her...leaving his true self to wither on the vine. I don't see the romance, considering that he's only playing games with himself about Fran, and Alex clearly wants to use him and nothing else. Sad...I really hoped Robbie would be a positive gay person finding his true love with someone like Nathan.

Week Seven Friday October 17, 2014: Matty Notices
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Seven Friday October 17, 2014: Matty Notices
Hmm, if Matty ever does get David, I wonder if he'd be satisfied with the reality? Great, now we have to force ourselves through a whole day with Kathy...not my favorite way to spend any amount of time. She's obviously not interested in him, so he needs to just move on! At this point, I just want her gone, I don't care who he winds up with...but I hope it's Twoey. I'm glad our poor hero is making such good progress, and hope he gets to go home early, but the flashbacks are worrisome. At one point, he thought Danny might be dead, and it seems he's completely forgotten about him now...but will that come back with a vengeance when his memory returns? It's sad that the only person Danny loved no longer remembers him. More please, SD! And try to keep the icky Kathy hetero scenes to a minimum! -
Ah, we find out at last--I'm betting on Druid though, due to Ethan's genetic history. Note that he only seems to use as much of his ability as he needs to--trying not to harm anyone if he can. I hope the feral attacks are coincidence, but it's not appearing likely right now. Come on, Ethan, get bit already. More please--dying over here!

I wasn't much into fixing cars--no mechanical talent, but I did do some body work...guess that was my artistic side. I think the biggest deal will be MJ's parents helping. I wish I'd seen it live, but this is a year after it came out, so it's pretty tame--not that the movie itself is any less mind-blowing. I wonder if Mikey accidentally starts a trend in Columbus?

This was a great story, Drew. I admire Luke's determination to not let their friendship end, and wish him all the best in keeping it alive--but in the end, it takes two people to make it work. Let's hope Adam can see beyond it, as he did with their other differences. I lost a friend when I came out after college, and it hurt a lot, especially since he wasn't overly religious to outward appearances. You just can't know what the outcome will be, and it is sad that people think there even needs to be a choice. I hope Adam sent a positive message.

Week Seven Thursday, October 16, 2014: Dr. Keating
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Seven Thursday, October 16, 2014: Dr. Keating
An eventful chapter SD. I was surprised that David opened up to the doctor--he actually gave up some control...and it seems he didn't hold anything back. Now we just have to get rid of Kathy--she has no real interest in him as a person, just a status symbol of sorts. Lanni is a better choice, if she's not taken by Deena...but I'm holding out for Twoey. Little flashes coming back are frustrating, but I suppose it's the best way for Twoey to get back to his full memories rather than have someone tell him. Even so, I'm sure it's frustrating for him. I hope he will take things slowly with David, and not scare him off. He wants this so badly, but they both need to be ready for it to happen. More please, my friend! -
A wonderful story G-Man! David is one very lucky man to have such love in his life.

Thanks, John, and welcome to the family. The boys are in AC Benus' Katie's Sketchbook if you want to check them out a few months ahead of this story. I'm starting a piece which will give their view of that trip...as well as continuing this one. I'm glad you've found something to like in their story, that means a lot to me.

Thank you everyone...I am so grateful that I found you all. It gives me hope and inspiration to go on. With such friends, life seems a little easier than it once did. I love GA and the people here, but I'll confess that some of you hold a special place in my heart where my closest friends reside, AC, Tim1 and Tim2, Gary, and the crew at CoTT. And those authors I follow and read as soon as something new comes up. Thank you all for being part of my life.

Great chapter, Wolf! So now we have horses in the mix? More and more intriguing as it goes on. I hope Robert will reform himself...and that Kevin and Connor are likewise sincere. Still hoping Chris and Michael get decent punishments, much as it will pain his father, the pack has to come first, and both are not good for its future. More please--and when is Ethan going to turn?
-
Thanks AC--I've only seen the movie on tape, never live. The boys' adventure won't be as insane as it would today--all those extras like costumes and call-backs weren't happening yet, but I took the liberty of including a few props. Maybe D-T will make some remarks which could be picked up? Laundrette was a nice movie, and for another sweet moment, see Beautiful Thing for the dance scene.

Week Seven Wednesday, October 15, 2014: Phantasmagasm
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Seven Wednesday, October 15, 2014: Phantasmagasm
An eventful chapter, SD. I'll start off with a warning: if you have a sex scene between David and any girl, I'll be skimming past it. That David had visions of Twoey and Matty as he climaxed is worrying--it may be a step in the right direction, but a side-step for him and Twoey. No doubt he'll blame them as the parts the doctor needs to purge from his mind. I had an awful thought--if his mother was searching his room, he ought to recognize her perfume--since he doesn't, could it be Pastor dichead? I'm coming to think that Ginny isn't much of a professional--she should know the effects her actions are having on her son, and be honest with him as she used to be. She's slipping a notch in the parental sweepstakes. And Coach Basuba is insane--he's heard of David's need to regain his weight, and having him run a second time, and also push him at practice isn't going to help him recover...it will make it worse. So, a good chapter, despite everyone being a disappointment except Twoey and Tommy. More please!
