We've had 3.33" of rain since overnight Sunday-Monday through this morning, and could get another nearly 2" of rain before it ends sometime tomorrow. Under a flood advisory at the moment; good news is we're near the top of a hill so we won't flood, but there are a lot of intersections in this town that do.

@chris191070 & @MichaelS36 -- hope the two of you enjoy your different trips and have a relaxing time

Hey... Creme De Violette w. Gin & Lemon sounds pretty good. lol
-
Hope you enjoyed (or are enjoying) your time off.

Missed the storms on Monday (though not by much as there was an EF1 tornado roughly 14 miles to our SW). Another chance of severe storms tonight. Unfortunately, the rain this morning stopped before lunch, which makes late afternoon / early evening storms more likely.
-
Going to be a "fun" evening tonight. A very active weather evening w. a LOT of strong / severe storms moving in from our West

Sounds like me and Christmas Divinity -- the mere smell of it now makes me nauseous.

Happy Ostara / Easter everyone!

Not been posting much. Life has been a bit crazy. Still in PT for the hip surgery, but things seem to be progressing the way they should be. @spyke Glad you're feeling better

Laughed out loud at that one.

New Zealand is a place I'd love to go to. SP & I both need to get our passports sometime soon.

Since we're tossing about old words, another one to describe him would be "hidebound"

Here, we're going from a balmy 80F tomorrow to a not-so-balmy 40F on Tuesday -- followed by an ice storm. People like Northman never know when to change tack
-
They'd probably get food poisoning from him.

This afternoon is my 1st real physical therapy session; happy to get them started but still nervous. And tomorrow night a front will move through that will drop the high from almost 20F above normal to near 20F below normal.
-
2-wk checkup this afternoon; everything healing as it should be. Next apt. in 3 weeks. Physical therapy starts next week, 2-3x/wk for 4-6 wks. Still have to use the brace & walker.

Still trying to recover from the hip surgery. Been a LOT less pain than I expected, but I'm getting restless. It's hard to sit at the computer and game for very long, but just laying on the couch doing nothing but watching TV or trying to read I fall asleep. We'll go back on Tuesday for my first followup.

Meatloaf passed away last night (Jan. 20) at 74. 😢

Surgery went ok. Yesterday was a long day but part of that was the weather shift happening. Looks a lot worse that it feels

Surgery is Monday morning at 8am. Ended up having a mild panic attack at the end of the day at work, but have tried to remind myself that I covered as many things as possible to make sure things flow smoothly while I'm out.

At-home test showed negative. I'll need to take a second late tonight to confirm as it might have been too early to show up. Either way, I'll need to make an appointment w. someone to get rid of this quickly.

Felt like poo all weekend. Cough, congestion, and temp is starting to go up. not the best thing right before scheduled surgery next Monday. SP is going to see if his job has one of the at-home COVID test kits; otherwise, it will be to the Minor Emergency Clinic for a test. Pretty sure this is just cedar-fever but as all the symptoms are the same... Fully vaxed + booster.
