Way to go Henry. I wonder if Brunhild/Karl can do anything about the Turks horses? So I glad I waited so now I can read the chapter straight away. The Boys are gonna do well...
-
Good luck convincing Boromeo of anything I'm finding it hard to know, for sure, who the Baddies are? My money has been on Larkozy and Dudley. But then they can be nice as well and they are well liked by some good people? I know. Bad/evil people aren't fully bad/evil all the time, etc. But still. I wonder who the Boys are going to have to 'denounce'? I am assuming it is a Who?
-
I know it is unrealistic, but I do hope they all come back. Well not ALL all, but I know who I mean. Barkozy doesn't have to. Not sure about Dudley yet.
-
Yay for Ando! Glad Dodie's marriage looks like it will be a good one. Poor Boromeo. His Father is a dick. I thought they were going ti use Wilchin to call for Jonas. Didn't even think of Brunhild.
-
Wow! At first I thought there was something wrong with my computer when I woke up and saw all the new chapters. Thanks! I hope that is not a 'sign' though. You know, that we are rushing to the end? Like all of these stories, you really get into the characters. You get used to 'seeing/visiting' with them every day. It always sucks when we get to an ending. Yay for the Barn!!! Love the Olmusch Society for Superannuated Donkeys!!!

The big thing for me in this chapter are the Orphans. I hope Serge is able to do something. I really like Jan. He is overly religious for me but such a good person. I have gotten into the habit of missing a few days cause by the time you come back to this story you get to read 4x chapters on the trot, which is way cool

I am finding it difficult to see if there is any link between the coming War and the whole using Boromeo to try and get to the River of Life, etc. Is there one, apart from giving the Players the perfect opportunity to be where they need to be and with whom, etc? And why did the Elemental hesitate? Was it the words Ando used or the linked power between himself and the Sword?
-
Poor Jonas to eventually lose all his Friends/Humans that he loves. The changes in The Boys and The Horsies is so cool!
-
Karl is so good. Now. Jennet is going to have to become Ando's. Also, something is going to have to happen for Ando to get to a position (in 'the real world') where is able to utilise his sword, etc. Lastly, it will be awesome to see what has happened to the Horsies and how that manifests itself back i the real world.

Poor Willi. That is so horrifically sad what happened to his Parents. Especially his Dad. I like how little things are being, not revealed, but getting closer e.g. the ring. Karl's visitation with St Fenice, etc.

I read this chapter twice. The main thing that stood out for me was The Chains. I slightly misunderstood what were for, that they had more than one use. So the question is, who or what determines when they will/won't allow access to his Pool Of Powers? Who/what determined not to allow Chris to complete his 22 spell Magnus Spell? Is it merely his level of experience? I think they need to up his training. He learns something every spar he has. He needs the experience and knowledge required to fully realise the potential he has. Thanks so much for this journey. I have loved every single step

Woah. That was a major mis-step by Aloysius. I wonder what it is about Boromeo that Jonas is determined in saving him? Looking at it clinically/in the scheme of things, if Boromeo can be used as suggested, would it not be easier to get rid of him? Why complicate it, unless there is something else going on as well? And if he and Serge are brothers, why Boromeo and not Serge as well? Do they not share the same blood? I wonder what is in store for Willi? Does the ring prove his legitimacy? Why is that important? Love it, love it, love it!

So many questions. So many connections to have to make. So, Dudley and Barkozy are "baddies". Also wondering about Ulrica. Wonder how Karl is going to be able to help Boromeo once he is under Barkozy's influence/joins the Prince's Guard? Hopefully, Karl's and Jonas' play date is sooner rather than later.
-
I am so glad Boromeo is not going to be on the wrong side of this story. The way he was at dinner and breakfast I was sure he was going to a "baddie". Poor thing. Really do not trust Dudley. If he does end up being a "baddie" then I hope Serge's Father is innocent. Only because of how close he seems to be to Dudley.

I kinda feel sorry for Serge's Grandfather. How desperate did he have to be. The option/choice he made was not an easy one, not the best one either. I thought Serge or Jan would be my fav, but it is turning out to be Karl - ‘Perhaps they can make toast? That would be nice.’ I hope it is just a sprain for Brunhild. Poor Karl would not do well if something happened to her at this stage.
-
The Child seems okay? Surely if he wanted to create chaos he could have done it before? Wonder what he wants or needs? Hhhmmm...what Alice said. As for Serge's Grandfather, what was he actually trying to do and why did it need to be done at the Abbey?
-
So I guess Karl's Visitor was about the age of eleven, astonishingly handsome: raven hair, clear brown skin and piercing eyes of a striking dark blue. Love it! Serge and his wee Family are going to become more important that he has any idea. So glad Karl is back home and that was such an awesome thing to do, give him Brunhilde. See you this arvo

Well duh! Who didn't see that coming!?!? What a waste of a cake. It is funny how since April said he was going to buy a cake I kept thinking, "Please don't waste the cake". As someone who does not eat cake a lot, that was a big deal.

I would suck as a spy and not survive within a Royal House. I can't read people, can tend to take things at face value, etc. The only people I trust right now are Jan and Karl.
-
Jan was so thoughtful in what he did for Karl's Family. The brutality is quite gruesome what with the flayed highway person and the poor Officer of the Guards. The young Lad was interesting. Abit scary what with the turn of the head, raised eyebrow and smile...
-
Yay for Karl. Both Karl and Jan are going to be a great asset to Serge. I am slightly wary of Willi. Just a pinch. It will probably be fine. This will be a very interesting one I feel.
-
I hope Paulus and Karl become recurring characters. I hope that they become part of Serge's network and rise in status. Can't wait for Serge and Henry to meet.

Barkozy!?!? I love reading but am not good at retaining information. Is this a name that came up when Outfielder was doing research in regards to the quarrel between the older and newer parts of the City? Please don't expect me to name them (Starlmestan and Rudmeistan something? Sorry for butchering that). I am sure I remember the name Barkozy and and not in a good way? Then again, my memory is now 58 and was never great in the first place. Thanks so much for posting this story so soon after the last visit to Rothenia.

Woah! Thanks so much for such a quick chapter/posting. And a longish one too. Chris is definitely going to need an Embassy of sorts. For the Visitors he will have, the meetings required, etc. They can't visit him at home. So Etalos as his Chief of Staff and Nomir as the Head of his Royal Guard. Would the rest of the Staff need to be Elves? Would that in itself cause any issues, to have that many Elves in one place on Earth? They'd need a portal to be created within his Embassy as well, no? Chris needs to finish his different meetings with the relevant Elves and Departments, etc before he is introduced to the Realm. Hopefully that shouldn't take much longer now. Retasa irks me for some reason. I suppose she would be have to be one of the avenues they use. But I think they would have to use various methods e.g. as a Kiwi (so New Zealand being a Member Country of the British Commonwealth) I loves a good Royal Tour. I still remember my first as a Primary School kiddie. Sitting on the side of the road (Queen Street in Auckland) beside Myers Park with my little flag waiting for the Queen to come along surrounded by thousands of people. As for the spar, the thing that impressed me the most is that he is not trying to kill them (as he would in battle) so it makes it harder. Chris already has the power, is even getting more. They need training that eliminates any limits he has in regards to how he thinks about/uses his power. If I was witness to the spar I wouldn't know where to look. At the spar or the audience and their reactions. So very very cool!

Time Zone wise it is 2 May where I am so I am taking this chapter as the perfect Birthday Present - so thank you very much. That was very thoughtful of you You shouldn't have, but I am so glad you did. It was so awesome to wake up (late) and have a new chapter as the first thing I saw. Looks like getting Etalos to Earth to find a possible Mate is gonna happen. He will be so honoured to be Prince Christopher's Chief Of Staff. That is so cool for him. I wonder how many Guards Chris will get? As Ambassador will he get an Embassy with Staff, etc? That will freak him out. I know. but it is hard to not be repetitive because they are truly meant - this story is just so cool and I can't wait for the next chapter! NB: Chris and Victor are hot together. Just sayin'... Oh. Also just thought, it will be interesting to see the VHC and WCC Members reactions to Chris. I am assuming not all of them will know about the re-emergence of the Elves yet, etc. They will be confused by Chris' obvious age and equally obvious power/energy radiating from him. Does he still come off as appearing (not physically) Human after the Ascension?
