Someone asked what my Monster Cookie recipe is. Here it is! As you can see, it's gluten free so I can make them for my mom! 3 eggs 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cups peanut butter (cheap brand works best. The expensive type that separates won't work right.) 1 stick butter 1 cup M&M's or chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped peanuts 1/2 cup Craisins, or raisins 2 tsp baking soda 5 cups quick-cooking oatmeal Cream sugars and softened butter. Add eggs and vanilla and continue creaming. Then add peanut butter and blend. In a separate bowl, add salt, oatmeal, soda, and other ingredients. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together mixing well. Then let the mixture sit for an hour. This step is necessary to let the oatmeal soften. Place a portion the size of a walnut on the baking sheet and press down. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for around eight to ten minutes. Pull before the centers brown completely. Let rest before removing and putting on wax paper on a cookie rack. Enjoy!

This is a fascinating setup. I'm intrigued about how they will meet in Kingston, and I believe they will have to. Great job so far. I like seeing forgiveness even when trust has been violated. Especially when we're young, we trust too quickly, betray too easily, and forgive too slowly. I want more!!!

Dreams come when the mind is ready to heal. Sometimes the pain must be processed later rather than sooner, and you're showing that in such a good way. Ryan seems to be dealing with things including setbacks in his therapy quite well. It would make sense he'd also start processing the incident as well. I'm curious as to what is bothering Clayton. Intriguing.

This chapter is fascinating for me. You presented a series of moral dilemmas for us to chew on. They were quite tasty. I think I'll go through them one by one. First off, Kevin met a transgender girl. She was clearly in the wrong for not telling him when they were in an intimate situation. While I don't condone violence, Kevin tried to do the right thing after he overreacted. He was wronged because she was deceitful. We don't get passes because we are a minority. Next up, we have the cockroach baiting Dave. Dave decides in the end to walk away from someone as repugnant as the cockroach. There is a fine line between confronting and besting a bully and simply letting them stew in their own juices. It's an interesting situ. We have Neil forgiving his parents, which is the right thing to do. I don't understand watching the place really. Why don't they just sell it or something? Anyway, I'm glad there is resolution for Neil's character. Finally, we have Ross poised on the edge of a knife. He's trying to figure out if being himself is worth the work. Ross seems bound in his ambitions yet floating asea with his fears. That character seems to be on the brink of something. I can't wait to see what's next. Great Job Graeme!

Red Running Shoes is a challenging story, but so much richer because of it. Jonah is like most people. He reacts to things instead of thinking about them. That's one of the reasons I loved it so much. His character developed so much with depth and quirks, it sucked you in. Aditus did a marvelous job of making the reader emotionally dance on the end of marionette strings. In the end, you feel like you know the characters so well, you want to pick up the phone and call Jonas and see what he's up to now!

There are two men struggling to pass through denial, guilt, anger, bargaining, depression, hopefulness to finally get to the acceptance stage. The story is a 'ripped from the headlines' kind of tale. It's based on actual events, but the stories and characters are completely fictional. The subject matter is very grim. It's definitely rated mature and if you are sensitive, this won't be the story for you.

Ross seems to be on the verge of something. I wonder what will happen next. Kevin is a surprise. Is he just curious or has he had thoughts? Intriguing.

I like how this story is showing growth in Jackson, Luke, and in their families. It isn't the kind artificial progression sometimes depicted either. This is organic change which is messy, weedy, with lots of unkempt twigs and leaves. It's nice to see how Jackson feels bad and Luke, in spite of himself, forgives him. It's hard not to love these characters because of their flaws. Great job!
