A very deep examination of the influences and motivations that cause Andy to tick. He is indeed a very passionate person who never responds in any half-hearted capacity to what life throws at him. And Matt is an extraordinary counter to him, in that he is strong yet so in control and so moved by a conviction of goodness towards others. It will be interesting to see how this influence that has suddenly convicted Andy of his cruelty plays out in the development of Andy's character.

Very starkly powerful writing that stirs one deeply. You build the story so very effectively and strongly, as stong as the characters you portray. It is very masculine.

A powerful and evocative beginning that spurs one on to read.

Thanks for such a lovely story. It was heartwarming, and the last chapter was a very fitting end, very cleverly done. I don't usually go for teen stories but this really caught me up and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

That was such a lot of fun. Are there still places like this in Aus that are comparatively deserted? What a glorious romp!

These guys are quite amazing in their "gentle" or not so gentle coaxing of Peter to get him to lose his inhibitions, rather than just plunging in and making him either follow or totally lose it. It's really quite astonishing. They must like him a lot to take time with him and wait for him to get there!

Much tamer I think than what I read before, but good. How do you manage to write convincingly about youngsters? And what is a "nipple nauger" ?

I have caught up! That was not difficult since your story carries one along so easily and with such expectancy as to the next twists and turns and what new extraordinary surprises they might yield. I have enjoyed the journey: every moment of it! And there is still more to come, but not sure now how I am going to be patient to wait for the next chapter. That will be a new experience, as I am used to reading through at my pace and galloping on. Now I have to slow down. I feel a little like George being grounded for a while and longing for the sea. Thank you so much for such an entertaining and satisfying tale. I love the characters, and I am stretched in my own rather blinkered views to seeing things differently and expanding my horizons to take in more and be less narrow. That is good! Thank you for doing that so incredibly effectively and convincingly, and more amazingly in a society that was so much more blinkered than today. I feel I am growing as a result of being exposed to your work. I cannot express my gratitude enough for that and feel so privileged to be able to read this magnificent story. Now that I am caught up I can review the next chapter for the merits of the next chapter rather than be concerned about the whole magnificent panorama of the saga. So looking forward to these concluding chapters and already feeling stirred up about the next book. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Chapter 42: Final Chapter
Jaro_423 commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 42: Final Chapter
Thanks for another great story in the Granger saga. Very entertaining and captivating. You are one great story-teller and have all the right ingredients for me personally - great men, great characters, great sex, great adventure, great romance, great suspense, great detail. Looking forward to the next story with great anticipation. I have had some many hours of such pleasurable reading. Thank you so very much. -
Another absolutely splendid story in the series and George continues to grow in exploits, in stature, in love, in popularity. Wonderful! So very satisfying to read and really appreciate all the work you put into these marvelous creations. How you make the improbable and the impossible seem so credible and believable! I love it! Thank you so much!

I am thoroughly taken with the story and its characters. Masterfully told (except for some unfortunate Americanisms - so fun!!!!), romantically and passionately appealing, though I did think the final words of this book were a bit crass, their new arrangement being sealed with "bodily fluids". How below the belt can you get? Well, no matter really. That can be forgiven against all the good things this story brings. I am really looking forward to the next book, though this is a huge distraction and I will have to discipline myself in order not to get carried away with time. But thank you so very much for writing and sharing.

Wow! Great story! Great action! Great excitement! And emotionally touching too. Very satisfying read. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed this part and what a great ending and beginning established here. Really good read that captures interest and imagination. Thank you.

Thanks for a great read. Very enthralling and entertaining.

Sorry, have only just started this chapter and was annoyed by a really bad grammar line - "It's so fun to play with" !!!! Is this American grammar or just bad grammar? It really grated my teeth, so had to make comment about it, as it really destroyed the whole English atmosphere. I still have to finish this chapter and so won't be able to make further comment unless one can edit one's comments, though I don't think there is that facility. In writing a story set in jolly old England one must surely make sure one is making it English to the core, otherwise we will be in the same boat as Traver's father!

A great read. Am really enjoying this. Thank you!

Sent you an email which I hope you receive, just saying thanks for such a magnificent story - so very inspiring and heart-warming and stimulating. I loved it. One of the best by far! Oh, and I had to say that Mike's little venture into joke telling was a huge success! I had such a laugh at that one, though even of late I think Matt's jokes have hugely improved. It must be all the practice he is getting! I do hope you publish these in a hard copy form. They are definitely worth having on anybody's bookshelf.

Another fantastic read in this chapter. So so good! I love it so much. Wish there were some return for all the tears I'm shedding. I'd be a rich man by now. I am particularly vulnerable at the moment because of all the shit going on in my life, but that aside I am such a softie and I cry for the bad bits, like Brandon, and cry for the good bits, like the adoption, so I'm crying at every turn of the page as it were. But I'm loving it so much. Thanks again for a great, great read. I tried to e-mail but it just bounced back so assume you no longer using this e-mail and haven't tried again. Blessings and thanks.

I am so very blessed to have come across your writing in this forum. It is blowing me away with its intricate aspects and with the fullness of the approach to life, to love, to sex, to humanity, to religion (I prefer to call it faith though) and I am loving it all so very, very much. You are an extraordinary writer of great talent and deep insight and I really, really love your work so very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. So appreciate your writing and your sharing.

Just another thing that has resurfaced and I want to add to my review from the last chapter, and that is the faith element in your story. So very profound and unexpected and beautiful. Thank you for that. You have such a beautiful, mature, balanced view of life and it brings tears to my eyes that anybody could be producing such a beautiful story like this. Are you for real, man? How I would love to know someone like you and to dig into your mind and benefit from your view of things around you. Thank you for sharing in the way you do in your story. You are beautiful, man!

I am so enjoying this story for the sheer goodness of the characters and this amazingly wonderful family that works thru their shit so well and that all support each other so well like the perfect family should. I like that. I also love the general comments that are made concerning the functioning of society, the place of minorities and especially, obviously, the place of gay people in society. You do that so well and with such lucidity and balance. I love it. And then, one more thing for the moment, I really love the sex and how you describe it. Thanks for making such a brilliant, heart-warming, soul-touching tale of human warmth and affection.

This was utterly devastating. I am so depressed by it. Not sure I should read this any more.
-
Sorry! I must be thick, or maybe it's that the jokes are American or something, but a lot of them I don't get at all. Matt is such a big pain with them! But that aside, I'm loving the story and enjoying all the highs. Quite an adventure and a thrill!
-
Absolutely it was quite despicable. And had just the planned reaction too I am sure. My heart was so sore and I was really cut up about it. I could not believe it. I tell you it was such a relief to read it was just a nightmare. Hell! that was such a shock!

I was up late reading! That is a sign that I am really hooked. Thanks for a great read.
