    Chapter 5

Damn. I forgot to press the review button after writing and went straight to the next chapter so lost it all. Just to say it get's better and better and I am really enjoying the story, jokes and all. They give us another side to Matt that helps us love him even more. Thanks.

    Chapter 4

Wow! The proverbial has really hit the fan now! And the story has upped its pace somewhat with what they must now face. The tension is there. Great story!

    Chapter 3

Wow! Not unexpected but an amazing turn about, though still lots of unanswered questions about Matt's sexuality. Very interesting exploration of two men falling in love. Very powerful. I love your story.

    Chapter 2

I'm really enjoying the story. Very dramatic blow to Mike, but the relationship developing between the two friends is really good and quite amazing. Not sure where it is going but I am eager to see. Thanks for a good strong story without any wishy washyness. Both the guys are admirably strong young men who are great all rounders. Very impressive. A nice man's story!

    Chapter 5

yes, i heartily concur - finished nowhere so is unfinished really - but good what's there, so please get going and finish with a follow up to this so we can see what happened to Rusty and whether he escaped the Mad Cow Disease or not!
  6. I can't remember when I last stopped to review. Keep thinking about it, but I just want to read the next episode - and so it goes. I decided that Ch.20 was a good place to do it. Really enjoying the story. The romance of it all is fantastic, the adventures so stimulating, the places you take us and the details you give so wonderfully exact that it feels like I'm there with the crowd too. I'm loving it and totally hooked on it. Thanks for a great read. I love all the characters too - you've made them all so special in their own way and all so incredibly lovable!
  7. I don't know what it is about your story of Randy and Altef but I love it and it resonates a chord somewhere deep within that is very emotional. Thank you for this beautiful story. Perhaps it is because it is a story that is born out of such pain and hurt. It runs deeper even than the story of Jeremy and David (God, I love those names and so identify with them too, but not at the same level as with Randy and Altef).

    The Un-Christmas

Wow! That was an amazing story and so touching. Really brilliantly executed and so much in it apart from the great characterization. I loved it and cried through a lot of it too. Thanks for the experience to this read. I wish I could sit down with you and go through the details of all the Jewish and Muslim things and question you about them and what your thinking was on it all, but I would need to go through this latter part of the story line by line. I was very impressed and left deeply satisfied by your story - it is an incredibly redemptive story and so ironic that you set it at Christmas time but it had nothing to do with Christian redemption per se. So many facets here to this that could be developed into a full length novel of epic proportions. Any likelihood of that? And thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, now not just for being a skilled writer but for being a great one who plays the heart like a skilled violinist plays his strings. Beautiful!

    Halloween Hero

Wow! That was devastating now. No longer a "Wouldn't it be nice if life was always like that"! And for the parents to end up dead as a result of this. At least it gave the boys a new start, but it was drastic! Though the boys didn't seem to cut up about it. Just accepted it and went on! Was this so realistic? I think you were trying to portray something in the leavin' off of the g's but not sure if it was enough to do the job. I think there's a lot more needed doing to make that convincing. But an enjoyable read none the less. Thank you again!
  10. And this too was another "Wouldn't it be so good ..." if only all parents acted like Trevor's parents! So wise! But what was so good here was you put the case so well. I know having been in the same situation and myself having believed what Trevor's parents believed and so much so that I was deeply in deception about myself and unable to acknowledge my own sexuality. So the background to this is very good. Well done! And always so well written too. Thanks.
  11. I must say I agree with the "wouldn't it be great if life were really like this"! It seem far too good to be true, but a flight of fancy, a pleasant dream, and from that perspective I am enjoying it, though I didn't think I would when I first started it, as I was looking for something more meaty (sorry for pun, but it is applicable) that I could my teeth into, rather than a light fanciful romance. I do like the fact that you write well in good sentences without any errors of any description that I can detect, not that I'm looking for them. They just become intrusive to reading when they are there. So thanks for being a good writer.
  12. Thank you for a very satisfying story, full of interesting details and complicated situations; romantic, emotional but realistic too. I thoroughly enjoyed it though I must confess there were moments of frustration. Somewhere in the middle of the story the English got very ragged, as though it had been mechanically translated without thought for grammar and idiom - it made it difficult in places to read. It really does need some careful revision and editing to get it up to scratch. Not sure that you read the comments though since there has been no response to the other comments. Oh well!

    Chapter 1

I really like the way you write. It is good and easy to read and you carry your reader along as though you were talking to him. It's great. I'm enjoying the story and learning more about Jaysen with each chapter.

    Prologue

Wow! A great prologue. It really gets one wanting to turn the pages. I love the comments about education too. I have to tell you its the same the world over. I think its because nobody really gives enough time to see that education is the very best that it could be by making sure it has the very best people to run it. They used to say if you don't know what to do with your life then go into teaching and if you don't know how to teach then teach others to teach. Or something like that. So what can one expect? But it made a great start to your story.

    Chapter 3

Thank you for a most enjoyable read. I like the way you write.

    Chapter 2

A good second chapter. Much shorter but takes the story a few racy steps ahead. Loving it. Thanks. A little more editing needed here as there were a few bloopers that needed sorting.

    Chapter 1

I loved this. It was hilarious, touching, realistic (loved the descriptions of Davis endlessly searching the internet and the contacts he made, funny but real!) And the fact that we have two really big dudes here and how they are absolutely the match for each other. That's so romantic and gives hope to us all no matter the shape or the size or the age. Plus, plus, plus you write it all so well. I wasn't aware of any of the usual typos, spelling errors and grammar messes. Great stuff! Well done, man!

    Chapter 35

Thanks for a quite delightful read. I enjoyed all the ups and downs of the family coming out the unusual situation of having 3 bros liking guys in one family! Wow! It was a lot of fun in the middle of all the tension and in the end very uplifting and encouraging. A wonderfully positive story. You do need someone to edit the grammar and the spelling though. It is quite off putting in places. Very annoying for a reader. Sorry.

    Chapter 30

Thanks for a really heart-warming in depth exploration of a young man coming to terms with himself. Quite an amazing story really.

    Chapter 15

I have been reading without reviewing, actually not sure that this was even my cup of tea! Excuse the very English expression! But your descriptions of this lad growing up have been so very good - so detailed, so convincing and much of it hitting home too. I was never abused but had a distant aloof father who didn't know how to love me. I never remember ever being hugged by him or even kissed - just a handshake. He once only invited me to do something with him and that has stuck in my memory to this day, though it was a simple thing where he took me to the cattle dip to watch what was going on there with the cattle being dipped and the calves being bedidzered (I think that's what it was called) and just being around dad. It was so special but it never happened again. He stuck to a policy of us having to ask him if we wanted anything and I was too darned shy or too darned stubborn - not sure which. I think it was a combination of the two. But the emotions that this lad experiences are so real and it is evoking thoughts of my own childhood and my relationship to my dad (or lack of relationship). Here Kevin seems to make connection, finally, with his dad and that is so special. The other thing is that I could never acknowledge that I was gay as I was growing up. Looking back all the signs were there, but I was in total denial. I was married with three children before I was able to finally acknowledge it and then I lived without giving way to it, except in private moments of fantasy, until last year when I finally decided it was long past time to live out my last days as I was made. It has been the roughest year of my life and is still far from being over. Who would ever choose to be gay? But loving your story as it is helping me to process some of my own desires from way back and I believe this will ultimately bring some healing and salve to my damaged psyche. Thank you!
  21. Beautiful story with such a good feel (ha,ha) about it in every sense. Loved the teasing way you developed their relationship and the teasing between them in this paradise of a setting. Very satisfying. Thank you.

    Epilogue

As I thought - not in the least disappointed by this. Thanks for a great read. I love the balance of emotion and humor as well as the insights into the characters and the wonderful revelations of relationships and love. Very insightful, rewarding and satisfying read.

    Chapter 5

Of course, Palouse! It took me to the beginning of this chapter to realize that I knew something about this Jake Cantwell and then suddenly the name came to life as the famous film star and then some of the details of Palouse began to filter through. I had been finding the story up to then a little bit slow moving and was on the point of giving up on it. So glad I didn't as I would have missed a treat. I had all but forgotten about Palouse as I have been reading as widely as I can on this sight and have read many excellent stories. But I am so pleased to have found an old friend I had forgotten (though not for 14 years!) I am looking forward to a really good read.
