  1. LMAO - I can't be the only author who's booted foot has connected with an ex's derriere. I hope my style continues to evolve. I pay attention to comments, particularly those from authors with more experience, and try to learn. Shouldn't we all be doing the same? The two stories I chose to share had plenty of reactions and an astounding number of comments. Seems I know how to get people riled up. As long as I can incite reactions, positive or negative, it tells me I've made readers take note. Both stories were written as a way of coping with real-lie events I found disturbing. Seems to me the reception they received proves GA readers are thoughtful and recognize not every tale has to be about boy-meets-boy. For that I'm grateful. I'm not known for writing romance.

I based the comment on my interactions with him. Or his alter ego. LOL

@Kitt I was going to say talking to somebody might help with the split personality. I do get the feeling Brandon likes to solve issues on his own. Drugs would be wasted on him.
  5. LOL I'm keeping Ritch straight. I've previously expressed my dislike for stories where everyone turns gay, and I don't want to fall into that trap. I think Ritch would have outgrown any curiosity by the time he reaches the Academy. Growing up surrounded by so many gay men, he would have already experimented if so inclined. Not saying one of my straight boys won't take a walk on the wild side at some point, but it won't be Ritch.

@BlueWindBoy Have I told you I enjoy your comments? CJ experienced remodeling of his fathers' basement and of the old Georgetown Theater. Plus, he and Ozzie watch HGTV. You were always part of Team Owen! LOL Let's hope the Walsh School polishes a bit more off those rough edges. Liston Winery? Remember them? I think those wines will be the main ones hoarded stored. Never tasted that bubbly, but I thought getting a 3% commission on the sale (and to friends) it was right for Dasan to splurge. I'll refrain from divulging future events.

I remember watching TT going up and bemoaning the loss of Bonwit Teller's Art Deco building. And I liked the store anyway. I think I still have two ties I bought there over 40 years ago.

Orange built crappy stuff, but marketed them as luxury. Kushner Sr was prosecuted by Chris Christie and sent to jail. Of course, he got pardoned earlier this year.
  9. Let's see... Liebe gets addicted to tacos. Owen joins an expat rugby league. And CJ, well, he's just CJ. More coming soon.
  10. Did you read my responses to previous reader inquiries about Mexico?
  11. Some people are happy to throw a match into tinder and afterwards feign surprise it caught on fire.
  12. Homophobia can be so subtle you only figure it out long after. Out of several such events, one sticks in my mind. Someone going through a 12 step program wrote me a letter apologizing for distancing themselves due to me being gay. Nobody particularly close, but it made me realize what I thought was acquaintances drifting apart was an intentional act by her.
  13. I've tried not to make Ritch too political, but he has his opinions. I've had him trash Trump a couple of times because, although a few service member idiots were involved in Trump's coup attempt, for the most part military leaders were unhappy with him as CiC. How many times did the orange blob tweet decisions that took the Pentagon by surprise? Donnie may have increased military budgets, but he also drained funds from approved projects for the silly wall.
  14. VIVA MEXICO! Working on it. Working on it. CJ lives a charmed life and that's what Ritch has seen most of the time. I mean, who else would stand up in front of the graduating class at a Jesuit University and introduce his daughter and husband? Notoriety may help dissuade some from saying/doing anything too overt, but Joel's not recognizable in the same way. He could face trouble. Everything I've read/heard tells me integration of GLBT service members had gone fairly well. But there are always assholes.
  15. LMAO Perverted Minds Think Alike!
  16. I've tried to show Ritch being supportive, as when he dealt with boxing team hazing, and a dick when dealing with basics. However, we know higher ups are paying attention. Just wait until the next chapter! LOL

The kind of shit Ken does he might get away with if it was with a group of friends. Not cool in this case. And of course, he had to go and pick on the guy who can defend himself. You met Damien? LOL That's exactly how I would describe the individual I based him on. Successful in spite of himself and not caring about anyone else. I thought it was a nice contrast to how I've portrayed CJ. He may have a neck ache from gawking at the wedding. It's gotten a little larger than they initially intended. Not as over the top as Chelsea's though. CJ and Owen will NOT be changing attire between the ceremony and the reception. NY slum developers? Are the Kushners building anything in the city?
  18. I wouldn't expect anything else from you. Young, hung, and full of spunk. If they're a dumb ass it just means we can train them as bottoms.
  19. I actually thought about that when I wrote the comment. I figured readers would get the meaning right. My bad. LMAO
  20. Watch it, old man! I always did like archeology. One digs deep enough, one can find treasure.
  21. Don't you love how shit works out. I bet when I introduced Joel nobody thought he would become Ritch's roommate. Ritch's turned into a man whore, screwing any woman interested in him. Now I gotta do the same for Joel.
  22. I knew fossil digs happen in Wyoming, so once I settled onWill and Melissa being from there, I knew I wanted Ritch to take part in one. Even if it was for a few days. Thanks for the name correction!
  23. In the span of a summer, Ritch was in Alaska, Florida, Wyoming, and Colorado. I want my next vacation to be like that. Although he has a bevy of friends back home, those he meets at the Academy will be with him for life. I can't wait for weddings with all those men dressed in the dress blues.
  24. Thanks, bud
  25. I wanted Ritch to be a bit quieter and wilder than his brother. Hopefully I've accomplished that. While relying on what he learned at home growing up, Ritch will still be his own man.
