Mr Kees' story has an air of innocence reminiscent of some of his other work. Four small-town, gay kids are out for revenge against a bully. Their well-planned prank is designed to embarrass the one who's tortured them. Will they succeed or will they get caught? Triumph or epic fail? You're gonna have to read this delightful tale to find out. Along the way, savor the author's rich descriptions, they help put you in the middle of the action. And if you pay attention, you may even notice a bit of social commentary hidden in the weeds. An enjoyable read.

I don't go into a lot of detail, but we do get an idea of what happens. You'll see the reason I included this little side item in a couple of weeks.

Cristina, no H in the Spanish version of the name. Every character in this chapter is a returning one. Damien and Cristina were both introduced a long time ago and have made repeated appearances. Did you forget the prologue of this book is a Cast List? Whenever your memory fails you, take a look at it.

I hate you! Did you have to spend a full-chapter building it up? I would have been fine with a paragraph or two. But no, you had to torture me. Careful, or you may end up with your own Gang of Four plotting your demise.

The Omen! Scared the crap out of me when it came out. Chapter 1 of Summer originally contained a long, detailed description of the dads' townhouse. When I posted a preview of it, I was advised it sounded too much like a real estate listing. I try to learn all the time so I haven't repeated that move. First with the apartment and more recently with the house, I've tried to dribble out information over several chapters. The 'inspections' give me a chance to incorporate house descriptions with other action. Hope it's worked. I'll make sure you're added to the guest list.

Who knew how far things would go when I introduced Sean. I never thought he'd hang around full time. I kinda grew fond of the level-headed guy.

LMAO! I did cut out the line where CJ offered to go to New York and 'deal' with Damien. Honestly! I think most readers would figure out the thought occurred to him, though. It's going to be weird when I write a story with all new characters and I have to build their personalities from scratch.

I like your attitude. At the time of year this chapter takes place, Key West's a lot warmer than DC anyway.

I think I've wrapped up most loose ends. Do you realize this book was supposed to be about their daughter? I mean, I knew this was going to happen when I introduced Liz. I could have probably done it in a hell of a lot less than 27 chapters and 120 thousand words. But I tend to ramble. Plan to be in Washington for Labor Day Weekend. The guys are planning a Housewarming Open House. The usual suspects will be there, plus all the neighbors on their block will be invited. Careful if you run into Sean, @Defiance19 gets possessive at times.
