Hey, Albert. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the dialogue and descriptions; I enjoy writing both and think I've improved since. Hopefully you'll agree. Welcome to CJ's family.

Moi? A tease? Not the worst thing I've been accused of. LOL The comments are one of the reasons I like psting on GA. When I posted elsewhere, I missed the immediate interaction with readers.
-
Just discovered this comment. LOL At least we know it all worked out for the best.

To this day, if a character shows up who hasn't been around in a while, I try to reintroduce them. I assume others have as bad a memory as I do,
-
Yep. And rocks. Bringing that trip up reminded me how fascinated I was with the minerals displays. I went home with a little box with about a dozen different rocks. All where labeled and a thin pamphlet talked about the, Hadn't thought about that in decades.

They'll order pizza. Royal blood or not, she'd be a teenager! LOL I did say Liebe and Lilibet met as teens in California, right? So maybe the first place she visits is La Casita in Malibu.

And Myr highlighting it in the blog will probably exacerbate your problem! -

You might be interested in knowing I used the word this morning in a reply to a comment. And I know I've used it before in stories. Great word. -
Thanks, Gary. Interviews, along with dinner/cocktail parties are a great setting for conveying details that may be a little dry if I simply narrated. A conversation discussing those topics feels more dynamic. I combine the two---interview part 2 over lunch at Forbes Grill--- coming up in the next chapter. Six more days until "Political Party" goes live.

We'll need at least one wheelbarrow for the next chapter. More may be necessary for subsequent ones.

I interrupt replying to comments to thank CB. He's a reader, not a member, and contacts me now and then through Instagram. He found a stupid typo. The Smithsonian's research facility is in FRONT Royal, Virginia, not Fort Royal. The cheetah cam and the cubs are real. After the five I mentioned, two more were born a few months later. https://nationalzoo.si.edu/webcams/cheetah-cub-cam

I could kiss you! Little things like the reporter's name are often included in my stories with little expectation readers will get them. During her beta reading. I think I mentioned to @Reader1810 how I came about his name and the significance of the Fairfax family in Australian journalism. I may have also told her I didn't expect anyone to connect the dots. I'm impressed you're aware of the tradition of not flying the Stars and Stripes in darkness! @WolfM pointed out the Australian flag should fly at the same height on a separate pole, but considering the guys only have one... As for just lighting it, Owen only allows the spotlight to remain on now and then. He doesn't want to exacerbate the light pollution in D.C.

No glitch. From Flying Circus, we know Ritch and Lucy marry in 2028, so their kids won't be born until a couple of years after. Still haven't worked the exact dates since there'll be a new batch of births around that time.

In January 2009, I was in NYC during a cold spell that kept people inside. The Empire State Building was empty, and I wound up chatting with a ticket seller. and explained my previous visit to the building had been 40 years before. My family left Cuba in 1967 and settled in Puerto Rico. Two years later, our parents took my brother and I on a Christmas trip to NYC to visit my maternal grandfather who had settled there in the 1950s. I remember visiting the Empire State and the Museum of Natural History but not much else; we spent a lot of time indoors with family. My parents were more concerned with rebuilding their lives than in the arts or traveling. That may have been the last trip we took together until I escorted them on a trip to Israel as an adult. Although that may have been because my brother and I were a pain and my parents decided to travel alone after. LOL

I think I'm keeping CJ and Owen out of the reality TV craze. LOL However, a new season of Top Chef, set in London with an international cast, began this week. I'll be watching religiously and a dish or two might eventually be used in a story.
-
LMFAO First - ALL of them are MY children. Second - I don't even need to refresh my memory with those five, so it's probably unfair to expect readers to recognize them all. Thanks for the opportunity to plug other stories, LOL The initial appearance for all of them was not in chronological order; they were introduced in I'm still surprised Lucy went along with Ritch and named their kids after the Air Force Academy mascots.
-
And from Flying Circus, we know CJ's been dragging his kids to see architectural wonders often. My experiences growing up were not as varied and I wish they had been.
-
Aba's alive when CJ gets elected president, so she'll definitely be around when Jeffer, Roo, and Davey show up. And for Aurora and Falcon too for that matter. LOL
-
Haven't gotten that far yet. I have them in NYC twice in 2022; once for a week at the beach, once for a weekend for a wedding. I'd love to use Central Park as the setting.
-
Thank you, Parker. I plan visits to a couple of National Monuments in upcoming stories, and to the National Gallery of Art in another one. And I have a performance of Peter and The Wolf scheduled during a trip to New York later in the year. I want Liebe exposed to anything and everything.
-
And it;s not only CJ she has to worry about. Owen stood up to her when she wanted to baptize Liebe, and he's not about to back down. I'm sure his comment about seeing his family first thing in the morning every day bothered her. No matter how many people may be in the circles surrounding them, CJ, Owen, and Liebe are the core.
-
There's a possibility she may end up covered in it.
-
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading and commenting!
-
LMAO She resembles someone following the horses during a parade. The sad part is she may not even realize she's doing it until her feet are covered in poop.
-
Yep, this installment so far has been about domesticity. Part of my attempt to show CJ and Owen aren't always involved in glamorous events or over-the-top adventures. There may be a few fireworks (not the type to scare Liebe) in the remaining chapters.
