  1. Following their departure from Mexico City, CJ, Owen, and Liebe stop in South Florida to rest and recover before returning to Washington, D.C. In Key West, they return to Cypress House, the bed and breakfast they had previously visited. Between relaxing and spending time playing in the sun and water, CJ and Owen share their plans for the future with Ritch.
  2. Let's not forget there are kids involved and they will influence what happens. Stick around and you may realize I'm not too kind to cheaters.
  3. Fortunately, I've been spared that kind of pain.
  4. I've tried to keep that trait alive. CJ's still quick to anger, but he's learning not to strike out immediately. He's now willing to forego the instant satisfaction of pummeling someone, say a Russian spy, and waiting until the right time to inflict maximum pain.

Takes an ancient one to recognize another...
  6. And when I'm watching TV, riding the motorcycle, or even on the toilet. Damn mofos won't shut up and leave me alone!
  7. Considering I've written almost 10 years of CJ's story so far, there are a lot of potential spoilers. I'll share this much: Chip will show up again in the future.
  8. There's a storm coming... Next book will unravel what happened here at the end and some events will reverberate throughout the series. It's fun seeing how CJ reacted at 15 and imagining how he would do10 years later. He's 24 1/2 at the time of the latest story.

    LMAO!
  10. About 10-12 years ago, I dated a former Air Force guy with copper hair ALL over. I'd say more but I'd get in trouble for posting porn. I was hellbent in showcasing all sorts of relationships when I started the series. I may not have written everything I originally planned, but I gave a little overview of how different individuals approach them. Not everything was my cup of tea, but I felt it was important to acknowledge not every couple is faithful and/or monogamous. Funny how my MCs stuck to the straight (HA!) and narrow.

I hope that applies to the author too! LOL

Thanks. I cringe when I read some of this early stuff. Boy was I trying hard to include everything. I've learned to pace myself. LOL

    Crush on You

Yep. Some of it was based on personal experience.
  14. I end up with a handful of gingers in the series. Not sure why all my gingers, except the most recent introduced one, leave readers drooling.
  15. Damn! The things I did trying to keep readers coming back. I've learned since I wrote this. Quality stories will entice people to return better than anything else. Bur cliffhangers have a place and time, and I've tried to use the judiciously in my most recent stories.
  16. Carlos slaps forehead while shaking head.
  17. Not to be confused with Sappo which is what some Aussies call Yanks. Something I learned while reading a story on GA. Right, @WolfM?
  18. A hard lesson I have to constantly relearn...
  19. There;s a software bug that shows stories on the author's activity feed whenever a story's posted. Even if it's set to publish at a later date. What you saw was because I loaded Key West to GA. It'll go live later this month. It's a short story recounting CJ, Owen, and Liebe's time in South Florida after leaving Mexico City.
  20. Thanks, Ric. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

    An Announcement

Loved the confrontation with the bronze rider. Here's hoping he gets put in his place frequently. Anne was too nice when writing jerks like him.
  22. @ranchered Luckily for me, food allergies disappeared as I got older. Sounds as if yours have gotten worse.
  23. @Mrsgnomie I'm game as long as there are no anthills in the area. I live in the tropics, plants bloom constantly, and environmental allergies are common. As for my aversion to romances, I think I read too many when I discovered there were stories not meant to be read one-handed online. After a while, I found many were repetitive and predictable. If nothing else, they inspired me to keep things fresh in my work. I've written about coming out and rejection due to being gay, but I've also written violence and recently a small spy thriller. I think readers return to my stories because they never know what I may pull. Coming soon... Never mind. Can't be giving away ALL my plans.
  24. Glad you enjoyed my responses and the story! Have you read the reports on doctors trying to combat allergies in kids? Parents are supposed to feed them tiny amounts of peanut butter, increasing over time to build tolerance. Same with me and romance stories, small dose. VERY small doses. The interview responses should reinforce your perception after beta reading for me. I'm a smart ass, foul-mouthed, political animal. Oh, wait, that's not me. That's CJ!
