  1. Oh, hell. no. I couldn't sit through all those movies in one weekend. LOL I did a movie a night.
  2. HBOMax... LOL
  3. I think you and I are not connecting. You did notice Thiago's boss is James Potter, right?
  4. When Thiago's invited to dinner at his boss' house. Lily will be a charming hostess. 😁
  5. Ding, ding, ding... We have a winner. I wondered who the first person to figure out the names. @WolfM joked Bas could kill himself with a bite. Two snakes and Harry used the tooth of one to destroy the horcrux. Speaking of Harry... what was his dad's name? I told Mann I'd binged all the movies right before writing this chapter. Okay, info dump Ms Betty should be played by Whoopi Goldberg. The Dovetail Project's real. I heard about it because a Miami HEAT player supported it. Now with the Lakers, Nunn was a single father, and he was raised by a single father himself. Thiago's facing issues similar to what other men who take responsibility for their kids do. As with Liebe in the previous story, writing around a toddler is challenging. I'm trying to show even though financially they're not at the same level, when it comes to parenting they're on the same page: the kids come first. The rug rats do give me a chance to write about poop, puke, and pee... Now, let's see if I can make up for the time lag before the next chapter. Remember in Cadet when Ritch found out about the Mexican incident (that was tough to write without revealing what had happened) and flew from Alaska to Florida? I've got something coming next month titled Key West.
  6. You know my weakness! Hope el finde makes up for being busy. I'm glad this week's almost over, not been feeling it but being back on GA helps.
  7. Thanks, buddy. Got something a little different coming up next month.
  8. I hate disappointing people I consider friends... I'm pretty locked in to what I'll share for the rest of the year, and Chemist isn't part of it. On the bright side, when I published chapter 1, I had no idea where the story was headed. I do now. Hell, I even have a few notes about what happens over Thiago's 1st year in Atlanta.
  9. I think Bas and Steve Northman were roommates in college... The fact Potter took the time to interact with Fabricio says a lot about how he views his employees. They're not simply a warm body to plug in a schedule. Hmmm... Thiago and Debbie getting together? Interesting idea. I'd need to find meds to deal with my allergy to writing romances...
  10. Tell me something new! LOL As of today, my plan's to publish the next chapter in June of 2023. Although as I mentioned above, there may be guest appearances in a couple other stories.
  11. Yes, sir. Nadine (I think that was her name, LOL) was black.
  12. Although I haven't written the next chapter yet, and won't for a while, Thiago and Fabricio will make a couple of appearances before chapter 3 sees the light of day. Maybe we'll see if Debbie and Coco are still in the picture then

    Moving Reasons

June 2021 "Daddy, I went pee-pee.” Fabricio, strapped into his car seat, sounded pitiful. The accidents were becoming rarer but still occurred from time to time. I was certain the car’s rocking had precipitated the latest incident. “It’s okay, kiddo. I’ll get off the highway at the next exit, and we’ll get you changed.” Along with my son and my fresh-from-the-printers Doctor of Pharmacology diploma from Howard University, I had left Washington, D.C. before sunrise, headed t
  14. Thanks, Luke. So, was it worth the wait? When I originally wrote about the Mexican incident, I had a rough idea of what it was, but I ended up changing it a lot. I hope the result was surprising and interesting.
  15. Damn! Second time I'm surprised this month. Not sure at my age that's a good thing. Thank you for the review @chris191070 CDMX was my return to novel-length works starring CJ, Owen, and their daughter. After a couple of years of shorter stories, mostly featuring secondary characters, it was fun to spend so much time with the series' MCs. The break was good for my writing. I introduced CJ as an abandoned 15-year-old and it was a pleasure to write him as an "old" married man of 24, with a daughter and a full-time job. Those who've read any other stories starring him had to notice I matured him a bit once I had them in Mexico. What didn't change is he's a foul-mouthed, smart ass with a heart of gold who puts his family first. If you do tackle CDMX, I'd love to hear what you think of it.
  16. Maybe I can help a bit this Friday.
  17. Anyone else experiencing withdrawal symptoms?
  18. LOL Thanks, Alex. My ego's tiny compared to CJ's!
  19. I happen to like it. LOL There's a diner near me that had it on the menu for years. They may have stopped serving it because I was a weirdo and not many others ordered it. Or maybe their elderly army vet cook retired and nobody else knew how to make it.
  20. 😞
  21. @Mancunian Try @Jack Scribe He might be gone, but his stories continue to shine. Not perfect, but I've revisit them from time to time.
  22. @Cia and @Myr This might be an interesting blog entry to feature at some point. No, not because my story's mentioned! LOL
  23. After our little tropical wave drenched us last week, we're now experiencing typical South Florida, summer weather. Steamy mornings, rainy afternoons, and steamy evenings. Two days ago, the feel-like temp hit 107 in Ft Lauderdale.
  24. Uptight people always ban the fun events....
  25. Thank you! Glad you've enjoyed my writing. And thank you for recognizing the characters have evolved over time. I've tried to tinker with their personalities to reflect them getting older while retaining their basic traits. It's good you noticed.
