  1. 🙄 Thanks. 😛
  2. Apparently I need to increase my screen magnification. Or actually wear my reading glasses.
  3. It's snowing here. You can have it. 😛
  4. I made a casserole, cleaned the kitchen, sorted through a pile of papers, and boxed up a couple of Christmas presents for international shipment. Now I have my comfies on and am going to watch TV and play around on the computer
  5. LOL well that tells you how good my eyesight is. I thought it was crying
  6. Why the sad face?
  7. I like going grocery shopping early to avoid the crowds. Plus, now I can cook today
  8. I went grocery shopping, stopped at DD for brekkie, cleaned out the fridge, put all my groceries away... all by 8:15 this morning Now what to do for the rest of the day....
  9. I studied French for four years in high school. One of our projects involved cooking. I made my family a meal of coq au vin. It was soooo gooood.
  10. When I visit Saratoga I make sure to stop at a French bakery there. They have the most incredible baked goods. I had a croque monsieur there once and it was the best sandwich I ever ate. 🤤
  11. Sounds like Froggie needs a bath
  12. This costochondritis is not fun. The pain is worse instead of better. I think I'll be calling the doctor again on Tuesday, because I can't imagine it will be better by then. I don't think I'll be doing much today. Probably editing and writing.
  13. You're welcome 😛

    Story Blurbs

Sometimes writing the blurb takes me longer than the story itself. Well... not really, but it feels like it. I like to keep my story blurbs short and simple. Two or three lines to draw the reader in. Titles, for me, are hit or miss. There are some stories I wrote and had the title already in mind, and others where I struggled for days to come up with something that fit.
  15. My drive in wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We got several inches of snow overnight. It snowed throughout the day and the drive home was yukky near work, but got better closer to home. I took my car in to get the brakes checked out and they couldn't find anything wrong with them, so that's good news. Even better news is that my mechanic didn't charge me
  16. I tried, but I didn't know the answer to the security question They wanted to know the expiration date of a credit card I haven't had in years. So I was locked out of my account after too many wrong answers and was told I needed to call and have them reset the password. I deleted all my old cards so it doesn't happen again.
  17. I managed to get myself locked out of my Amazon account this morning So I had to call customer service to get my password reset. OMG I spent about ten minutes spelling my email address and the guy got it wrong every. single. time. I'm a patient person, but OMG. I asked if there was another way he could look up my account. By name or address or something. Nope. Only if I had an order number. Well I'm not at home, so don't have any paperwork from recent orders with me. He mentioned email, so I was able to find an order number in my deleted emails. So he tells me the email address I'm providing doesn't match the email on the account. And he wouldn't tell me what email was on the account. So I tell him if there's something different than what I've been telling him then my account has been hacked because I've had the account since 2008 and have never changed my email on it. I tell him my email address one more time--the same one I've been spelling for ten minutes--and he tells me 'yes, that's the one on the account, but it's different from what you were spelling." *headdesk* *deep breath* So we finally manage to get the password reset email sent and now I can spend a crap ton of money on Amazon again. But OMG just OMG how many times can you spell the same email? And it's not that unusual an email address
  18. Mine would revenge pee on everything he owns.
  19. Congratulations
  20. Come visit me. You'll see snow.
  21. Four years ago, my area experienced the Snowvember storm, which dumped 88" of snow over the course of several days. I hope we never experience that amount of snow in such a short period of time ever again.
  22. But he'll try his damnest to...
  23. I timed my drive home perfectly. I left just as it started to drizzle a bit and stopped at the store. When I got out of the store it was snowing. We have a dusting so far, but are supposed to get several inches by morning.
  24. People always forget how to drive in the snow during the first snowfall of the season
