Trebs sent me a link today about this - well worth reading.

Some amazing things -
1) he's from oakdale! (for those that don't know, Oakdale is a small town near Modesto - my home town - and the town my father lived in when he passed away).
2) he joined the Marines as a fundamentalist christian
3) he wasn't dating the guy in the picture UNTIL the kiss
My favorite quote from the article:
Sometimes you think the world never really changes and then you see a picture like this and remember what it was like coming home from a long deployment and having to hide the joy at seeing the man you love.
Change does happen and it is darn good.
Why is it that fear of the reaction to the truth keeps people from telling it and then things only end up being worse? I learned this lesson when all my carefully laid plans to come out to my mother fell apart and she found out by calling my apartment and asking a friend where I was. I am afraid David is about to have a similar lesson coming his way.
Soon?
Ah! Poor George. How will he readjust? The feelings of being disconnected after long voyages is as true today as it was in George's time. Glad to see it dealt with here.
I read the chapter this morning and it was a good, solid chapter but I felt something was missing. When I read it again I realized that the chapter was almost all narration and no dialogue. It was hard to feel a part of the story, or to relate to the characters when the chapter was almost all narration.
This is a good story with good strong characters. More dialogue please though!
Great chapter. It's good to see proactive adults. Too bad no one ever really listens to them! Can't wait for the next chapter. Really good job keeping the tensions going
So totally wonderful. Count me as a facet/dean groupie. Poor Tyler has been carrying a torch for dean for years and now Davy steals him. Or is it dean who has had the torch for Tyler for years and that is why they have been public enemies after Tyler turned him down?
I know! Davy manages to get Tyler and dean to realize their unspoken love for each other and they all three end up in a relationship together! Now I am horny.
Oh so damn freaking good of an ending! As much as I would love to read more, this ending is so perfect it makes all the darkness worth it. Great job!
I won't say more of this story, but more stories soon please!
Now, to wipe away some tears...
It might be just the kids and me, but we'll be sure to let you know. Babies are fun, as long as I can give them back as soon as the diapers get stinky.
