Another fine story to add the the Hugillverse! This story has a wide range of characters, subplots, drama, and humor. Superb writing keeps one moving from chapter to chapter with easy flow. A must read!

Success, failure & a challenge
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Success, failure & a challenge
I find this chapter not so much an ending as in all things wrapped up, but a stopping point where we see the possibility of the commune growing together in their individual crafts and talents as well as the "family" they have formed. Excellent writing and a thoroughly engaging story! I look forward to the next! -
Bitterness can eventually damage relationships and the person himself if not dealt with. It's a shame that Phil ended in this manner, though his feeling of total abandonment from his family gave him no hope for the future. I always believe reconciliation is possible, though resumption of the former relationships would not have to be resumed. Forgiveness will ultimately be beneficial to all concerned. I find this a particularly sad chapter.

So, the Panther turd is returned to its proper place. The characters take central position, showing their growth as individuals and as a supportive group of friends. While I hate to see the story end, I am ready for more stories from the Hugillverse!

Dinner with Pericles & PJ
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Dinner with Pericles & PJ
I agree with @drsawzall: I'm not ready for this story to end just yet (if ever, lol!). I truly couldn't care less if the Nimrud Panther was ever found! I would love to see the eventual dick-tionary! -
You & me, Tom, Ian & Gus!
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in You & me, Tom, Ian & Gus!
I really hate to see this story end but guess it must. Might the Nimrud Panther be found during the small barn remodel? I think the collection of pictures would make a nice bonus to see... -
The "mystery" of the lost item has certainly taken a backseat to this wonderful story of another growing community of supportive members! Great writing! And I second a story featuring Joss and PJ!

Nothing more to add after the wonderful comments made already! Brilliant writing and creativity, @Robert Hugill!

Stunningly beautiful! And if I may, I hope you realize how much you are loved too!

I second @CincyKris comment about Lewis and Charlie: their relationship is building slowly on a solid foundation of friendship. Both are learning to be vulnerable and real!

You have crafted a family that seems like our next-door-neighbors. Their wealth is used to provide top-tier experiences for all their guests without denying themselves a very comfortable home. Throughout, all their employees are considered equal and respected as such. This chapter illustrates this very pointedly in their discussions with all the various employees with whom they speak. That 10 years has passed since the origin of Belle Catherine seems like the blink of an eye! Great writing and story telling!

Lewis & Charles in colour

Loving the "growing pains" in the community: learning boundaries and respect for each other. Wonderfully warm chapter! -
Lewis & Charles Discover a Murder
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Lewis & Charles Discover a Murder
A delightful chapter! Things are coming together nicely for the community - but knowing that they may never know the full extent of the crime network and accepting that fact. -
Tom, Charlie, Pericles & Gloria
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Tom, Charlie, Pericles & Gloria
I love the mixing of real places and events with the fictional ones. It provided a nice vicarious day-trip on an otherwise mundane day here. I believe that Tom is truly trying to be his own man rather than his step-dad's son. It might seem a bit late in life to become independent, but it truly isn't! He has found an accepting community where he is allowed and encouraged to be himself and supported all along the way! -
And I get that! I really do!

The Confused Traffic Light
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Confused Traffic Light
I've met this stop light on many occasions - they sent it to Orlando,FL and surroundings. It seems to sense where I'm going and swaps places with its friends... Well done story! -
Initially, love is based more on emotion, attraction, that certain "je ne sais quoi" that draws you to a person. However, in my humble opinion, love does require decision to stay when things get rough but two decide to work through together because each values the other. So, guess I'm saying it takes both to form, enhance, and maintain love. Beautiful writing!

In line with the observation by @Summerabbacat re: Patsy, I was eating lunch and almost spit with this description: Bobbie, by contrast, had an engaging manner, but was rather a shapeless blob of a man. Absolutely hilarious! The story, while surrounded by all sorts of crime, still keeps a wonderful focus on the relationships of Louis' band of merry men! Great job, @Robert Hugill.

Pericles & Gloria: arrests are made
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Pericles & Gloria: arrests are made
I am certainly looking forward to and glad there are 10 more chapters! -
I've had a very busy week and got behind on my reading. Agree with all the above comments. All the main characters are growing into a wonderfully supportive community. Beautiful!

A powerful tale about what a child actor faced and finally stood up to thanks to the support and love which began accidentally but grew into a powerful redemptive force. This story is filled with wonderful characters, drama, humor, dedication, and belief in a better way to deal with child actors, wrapped in a powerful love story.

"Will It Always Be Like This?"
pvtguy commented on Nuno R.F.C. Rendeiro's story chapter in "Will It Always Be Like This?"
I started reading this late and at times felt like reading a Dickensian styled novel: lots of words which created very present scenarios where the reader was truly the proverbial fly on the wall, observing it all! Each chapter was full of emotion and depth. Looking forward to more stories, @Nuno R.F.C. Rendeiro. -
"All The Trees Of The Field Will Clap Their Hands"
pvtguy commented on Nuno R.F.C. Rendeiro's story chapter in "All The Trees Of The Field Will Clap Their Hands"
"What I set out to tell was a very specific kind of love story about how this unexpected love saved a lost man and gave him a new, genuine life." While your original intent was to focus on Liam's growth, you also accomplished the same thing for Hudson and Mateo. All three came to find their genuine lives. -
Old pictures & a new commission
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Old pictures & a new commission
The story continues at a wonderful pace with just the amount of intrigue interspersed! There is serious material, humor mixed in, and wonderful characters! Love it! -
A bit of frivolity amidst the depression
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in A bit of frivolity amidst the depression
Such a lovely story! I get hungry for cake each time I read a chapter, lol! Next chapter with Charlie and Graham should be quite interesting.
