Results, Celebration and More
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Results, Celebration and More
Truly wonderful story. What especially impressed me in these last few chapters was that no one referred to Stephen's disfigurement and his confidence was greatly enhanced. Great writing! Great research! -
Los Angeles Prep and Paralympics

Michael has accomplished his goals to date, but the confidence of Stephen has grown by leaps and bounds. He's a vital part of this team! -
A visitor, police-work & story time
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in A visitor, police-work & story time
Still a lot of threads but delightfully coming together. While we are still in a fog about who murdered Daphne and whether it was intended or a mistake and should have been Graham, Thomas Englert is not coming across as much of a strong-arm yet. And the elusive item he is supposed to retrieve is still nowhere to be found. Loving this story! -

Very melodramatic, but keeps me wanting to read more! -
Augusta and Working Toward LA
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Augusta and Working Toward LA
There is a lot of cost to attend these events. Good thing Michael's father is a lawyer! Michael is very focused and determined as shown by his commitment to improving. He has great support from his family, coaches and Stephen. Very fortunate indeed! -
Pericles, PJ & Betty from the Museum
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Pericles, PJ & Betty from the Museum
I had to look up kedgeree - new food for me. Not appealing to my palate on description, but could change once tasted, perhaps. I, too, loved the slices of life presented here. Louis is so self-effacing that he doesn't know how good he really is. Great writing as usual! -
Chapter 8 - First Time

This is a formula for building love for sure! Beautifully written and paced. -
The Holiday: More snapshots & the return
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in The Holiday: More snapshots & the return
This has been a wonderfully warm escape from the regular life - exactly what a vacation should be! I'm looking forward to the next chapter - finding a house, dealing with Rory's parents, perhaps a "wedding" for Jason and Gavin, and whatever happens as life moves on for this delightful family! -
Opening Night and Closing Thoughts
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Opening Night and Closing Thoughts
Wonderfully warm story. Darren is talented, but also has his flaws. That he and Luca were together for so long is a testament to them both! -
Eileen is very supportive of Louis and has solidified certain doubts he was carrying into solid resolutions. I like the hints about Graham...I hope there is reason for him to be inspected!

Having worked with two blind students and remaining friends with one to this day, I am always amazed at the abilities they have developed. I'm also glad his mother also called him on his lie and recklessness.

Eileen, Graham, Pericles & Gloria
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Eileen, Graham, Pericles & Gloria
I, too, similar to @drsawzall,spent many allowances on comic books - mostly of Superman/Superboy. Wish I had kept them as they would make me a fine income from their sales now! In any case, this story just keeps getting better: Is Thomas Englert somehow connected to Graham? Was Daphne's death meant to be a warning? Louis' small surrounding community/family certainly encourages and yet grounds him. And will the Sarge find a reason to get a warrant to search Graham's computer and business matters? All this keeps the intrigue going! Thanks, @Robert Hugill!! -
Chapter 176 Stepping Up to the Plate
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 176 Stepping Up to the Plate
Robbie needs some tools that counseling with Jo can assist with. He needs to deal with these lows into which he slides so quickly as well as anger management, neither of which is good for him. -
Chapter 176 Stepping Up to the Plate
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 176 Stepping Up to the Plate
Robbie is still Robbie....He needs to see Jo again! He turns on himself but takes it out on those who truly like him. This might just be the wake-up call he needs! -
The Return From California
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Return From California
I could see a court case here too. Michael has already mentioned a work-around using a tapper. Good cliffie! -
Three friends (Brad, Lynton and Alexander) drawn together in college who go through challenges, great times, and misunderstandings which lead to an eight year span where they do not communicate but each grow in their professions and personal lives. When one (Brad) reaches out to invite them both to his wedding, they meet once again and , in the span of a week, hit very high highs and a a very low low, fraught with more misunderstandings, leading to another period of silence among them. What happens next is quite a surprise, leading to a hoped for, but unexpected, conclusion, The back and forth between glimpses of the past and present, lead the reader to more fully understand motivations and reasons for behavior. Superb writing and compelling reading!

The trials and tribulations have paid off handsomely! A thoroughly HEA! Thanks for this story!!!

Embarrassment, and Hockey Futures
pvtguy commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Embarrassment, and Hockey Futures
All hockey development and no mention of relationship development save for one statement: His and Luca's patience had paid off. I'm trusting they are still together. -
Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead?
pvtguy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead?
And the intrigue continues to build. It will be very interesting to see if Graham might well have the artefact and be either a target or instigator of the death of his wife.... -
A true depiction of real love growing amid those persistent personal doubts and fears. Jamal is so fortunate to have such a supportive and loving family! Now, if only Ryan can become as courageous....
-
Excellent research and writing it into the story. As Michael gets more training and practice, his times will improve.

I love that we see a healthy development of a relationship and not just instant "heat" called "love". Irma has become a wonderful source of common sense for Slav. And he listens! As for the future and a new house, I'm still hoping Rory's Grandparents will assist!
-
Finally! Lyn has dropped the confining walls that held in his true emotions and he allowed them to fully bloom. Alexander has also allowed himself to be open and vulnerable with Lyn. Well done!

A wonderful story of love and its healing power. The whole story is compelling, but the last chapter is very powerful! I look forward to a sequel!

Excellent cliffie at the end! I like @Summerabbacat's proposition about the possible inclusion of Thomas Englert in the demise of Aunt Daphne.
