    Chapter 4

You do suspense well! I'm wondering if the source of hate felt by the wolves and Micco might well be Rory or someone yet to be mentioned? The final scene with Chase seems to indicate that Chase has lessened his connection to Micco.

    Equinox

When I lived up north, Fall was always a time of more than melancholy for me...I actually went into depression until spring and summer came. From my own reading into the so wonderfully crafted poem you've shared is a feeling of regret that one didn't accomplish any of these things this past summer and a hope that next summer might bring such hope in one's life. I sense a feeling of loneliness. It reminds me of e.e. cummings' poem "l)a". I absolutely love reading and reflecting on your poems, but this one has especially touched me.

    Chapter 3

I got to this chapter late....but the comments have said anything I could. As usual, wonderful writing!
  4. Wow! A lot has been covered in this chapter! Sue's vulnerability is shown while at the same time her strength is getting stronger. I'm looking forward to her confrontation with Don! Nicola is getting her due from Stephanie for her trying to control everything. ThankIt's about time someone stood up to her! It is going to be interesting to see if or what part Robbie will now play in the baby's life. Glad to see this chapter posted! Hope the next one comes fairly soon...

    Chapter 31

The Springarns are definitely not of the haughty type of wealthy people: they seem to truly care and appreciate those in their employ. If the aim was to see if there was any discord obvious, it did not accomplish this at all. Thus, the personal situation which was so diligently exposed through the interrogations of Ella were not known by the help. I wonder if Joe will have to undergo the same type of questioning...?

    Chapter 1

I responded with an "angry" emoji, as I don't appreciate painting all Floridians as supporting the attitude of killing both non-human and human animals. I, for one, do not support this attitude and I know many others who believe as I do. And, yes, I am a Floridian (not by birth, but by the fact I have chosen to live here!). As for the story, I agree with all the comments about your superb writing in all your stories! You have quite a gift! Thanks for sharing it!

    September Sonnet

No one is blameless, no one is perfect. Hatred, especially fueled by chosen stupidity, must be confronted with action fueled by love. It is interesting that the church I attend will have a vote this coming Sunday to be part of the Reconciling Ministries Network so that anyone looking for an open and accepting church in Orlando will find us. I do hope that your garden is reflected in this church! Your words are powerful and so well crafted. Excellent work!

    Chapter 30

Once again, the conversation around dinner is fascinating: reflection, humor, insight, but above all, support for Ella.

    Chapter 29

The focus on the hymen seems to want to imply that there was sexual penetration that caused it. Was this before discovery that horse riding, bicycle riding, dance (ballet, etc) could cause the tearing? I'm not sure when this was discovered medically. In that Ella wants a divorce rather than an annulment should reinforce her love of her husband - she does not want to say that there was no marriage at all: only that the sexual component to a marriage was missing. She still feels attached and attracted to him, probably more as a friend than a husband.

    Chapter 18

I am really wondering how the parents will act both with Mr. Ellis present and after he leaves. Will Seth's mom finally confront Stacy? Fun things ahead, lol!

    Chapter 26 S1

Excellent chapter - informative and engaging.

    Chapter 28

The family discussions are as fascinating and educational as ever. There is such strong familial support that is non-judgmental.

    Chapter 27

I find the psychological references very telling - seems the doctor is more understanding and looking at the whole picture than Mr. Steuer is for sure. I'm getting the opinion that the judge is about full of the prurient stuff.

    Tinnitus

The imagery is so experiential! My tinnitus is also a measure of my sugar level (I am diabetic) - the loudness indicates a rise in my glucose level! Your description: reverberating in the vaulted ceilings of my brain, is so aurally rich to me! I want to turn the volume down but the reverberation keeps echoing. Thank you once again for sharing these wonderful poems. They are, indeed, powerful!

    Chapter 15

Sounds like a potential "coming out" party...
  16. pvtguy

    Chapter 26

I still love the dynamics of this family. One can feel the closeness, love and respect. Well portrayed in your writing.

    Chapter 25

I think the judge has finally gotten his fill of the intrusive questions. The questions of having charge account in her own name seem unrealistic. Were women allowed to have their own charge accounts in 1921?
  18. Simply beautiful. I could envision each passage with either visual or olfactory realism! Thanks for sharing, as always.

    Chapter 24

I love the family discussions. She has wonderful support from everyone.

    Explorers

That journey is not only in nature, but in traveling through life. While others have walked/will walk paths similar to the one we tread, the influence we share on our journey and the challenges and joys we experience are our own. Beautiful writing as always!

    Chapter 23

This was very tedious, and quite honestly, I do not see the point of all this.

    Chapter 12

If Craig allows his emotions to be out of control, and they are, he may unconsciously out himself!
  23. pvtguy

    Chapter 22

Rude, disrespectful, arrogant, condescending, misogynistic...what more can I say about Atty. Lewinson? I hope I've adequately described my reaction and disdain for the man! But how I do admire Ella! You certainly have done a great job of writing to both describe the events in the courtroom as well as the family discussions.

    Chapter 30

I agree with @drsawzall: I am fully bloated with a smile on my face! Now another shot of insulin and a jog around the city, lol! It was lovely to catch up once again. Thank you for finding the time to post again. Take care!

    Chapter 19 S1

As with your other stories, I love your history lessons and look forward to how you describe all that Mac will experience. You do excellent background research and allow the reader to learn without a formal lesson.
