Micco's heart rate might have slowed, but mine has not throughout this whole chapter! Wow - what writing skill you have! What or who will Micco find? Great chapter!

I just started this wonderful story! Rather than repeat or restate what has already been said above, I will say that I am now intrigued to read your other stories! Wonderful writing.

As with all true mystery of existence, words point a way, but are not the end or definition in themselves. Words are by nature limited - but can point to that which is not limited. That said, you have used the power of your words to lead us into the sublime. Well done!

As expected, a very well written chapter full of information that I know i didn't know before this! I'm still wondering what the purpose of the skinwalker will be in the daily life of Devin and Mac. Devin did change in to animals at school but also into other human beings.

Several issues converge to make Evan rethink his life's view. Religion plays a major part but the questioning of faith is a necessary step to clarifying one's personal beliefs. This short story is a powerful presentation.

When one confuses training/work with identity, one loses the sense of "who am I really?" This is an exceptionally well-written journey through PTSD of a Navy Seal who has returned to life outside of the Navy that leads to finding not only self, but also love.

Why did Chase leave? What does he feel now? Is he trying to deny or escape some deep feelings? I hope Micco can focus and communicate with the animals and gain some insight...

Chapter 1: Working the Night Shift 2
pvtguy commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 1: Working the Night Shift 2
Rather than a much warmer place for Sarah to end up in, I rather believe that she would have been surrounded by a love so deep that she couldn't accept it. Thus, her "hell" would be eternal loneliness. She couldn't accept love when living and probably wouldn't accept it when she crossed over... I continue to admire your storytelling, Bill. -
Apparently, even Burke can see the connection between Chase and Micco. Now to find out who was in the house and why...

Hmm...just wondering: Was Angus aware of time or was he stuck in a time warp? Is there time in eternity?

Well done once again, Bill! That the guys were not freaked out but actually sought help for Angus is impressive. I do love your Halloween stories!

Chapter 1: Dance With the Devil

Well done! A worthy Halloween tale! -
As a fellow Floridian, with all the potential damage that could occur with hurricanes, I won't be without insurance, but also hate the hoops created and endorsed by our legislators.

I totally missed the importance of the "trophies" until the surprising ending. It certainly placed Al in a new light. At first, I saw him as a quiet introvert who was perturbed by interactions with others. What a wonderful creation! I loved this surprising story.

As I came late to the comments this week, I do believe everything I thought as I was reading has been already mentioned. I continue to admire your writing...but wish there was more than one posting a week...

What a welcome point of my day when I saw the posting of this wonderful chapter! Would that I could ever experience such luxury with such down to earth people! I love the world of the Devlin-Majors and would love to be friends with them! Great writing!

The power of your words creates the sense of my being the unseen observer throughout each chapter! I can feel Micco's anxiety and Chase's reluctance. I'm looking forward to the following chapters!

No settled favorite would you ever choose until my creeper’s trumpet called you in; now solely in my twining arms you cruise, so garlanded, our equal tributes win. In like dependence let our love be told till autumn’s frost shall turn us grey and cold. What a beautiful description of finding that relationship where "like dependence" allows both to grow independently yet nurtured by the love generated by the interdependence which hopefully lasts until we are old and grey! Wow!

I come to this late as I was ill for the last two weeks. I agree with @CincyKris with the lawyer trying to point to him as a very wealthy man. Remember, this is 1924 - and by those standards, he was very well-to-do ...but then again, 1929 is just around the corner....

Thank you, but not to worry: no sadness brought by this poem, but just a wonderful reminder of what joy I have now. I always have more projects to do than I will ever have time for, but it's what keeps me moving forward.

I love this family - their interactions, their openness, their warmth. Ella certainly has quite the support system.

You do suspense well! I'm wondering if the source of hate felt by the wolves and Micco might well be Rory or someone yet to be mentioned? The final scene with Chase seems to indicate that Chase has lessened his connection to Micco.

When I lived up north, Fall was always a time of more than melancholy for me...I actually went into depression until spring and summer came. From my own reading into the so wonderfully crafted poem you've shared is a feeling of regret that one didn't accomplish any of these things this past summer and a hope that next summer might bring such hope in one's life. I sense a feeling of loneliness. It reminds me of e.e. cummings' poem "l)a". I absolutely love reading and reflecting on your poems, but this one has especially touched me.

I got to this chapter late....but the comments have said anything I could. As usual, wonderful writing!

Chapter 165 Birthday Privileges
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 165 Birthday Privileges
Wow! A lot has been covered in this chapter! Sue's vulnerability is shown while at the same time her strength is getting stronger. I'm looking forward to her confrontation with Don! Nicola is getting her due from Stephanie for her trying to control everything. ThankIt's about time someone stood up to her! It is going to be interesting to see if or what part Robbie will now play in the baby's life. Glad to see this chapter posted! Hope the next one comes fairly soon...- 20 comments
