Oh that there would be couples counseling before and after a marriage where children from a former marriage are in the mix! Ella's not going to change anything or anyone unless others see a need. Perhaps her leaving will show them what they are missing...or confirm that she really wasn't "needed" after all.

Murder 101 - Prompt 124
pvtguy commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Murder 101 - Prompt 124
Very well crafted! I agree with @raven1: this would be a perfect beginning to a murder-mystery. -
I love the slow layout of the story...just wish the chapters were longer.

Are you possibly opening a position on the Supreme Court to show possibilities other than what faces us currently? Great conversations over dinner and after. CJ's and Owen's futures are going in wonderful directions. I really want to meet real-life people of the ilk of CJ and Owen!

If you're looking for a well-written, excellently crafted story of love, conflict, and the workings of a small town, this is for you. Assumptions are challenged; intrigue is so well woven that you can't wait to read the next chapter!

This was a wonderful story, well-written, and so engaging! I do hope you return to Edgewood - lots of stories to develop!

We truly don't know for a fact that Jonathan is a thief or engaged in other than "philanthropic" activities. He could well be a two-faced individual - wonderful to those "less fortunate" than he - so that he appears to be a "messiah" the them. He, thus, becomes the center of attention which he is not in his own children's eyes. There are many hypocritical people like this.

Ditto to all the positive comments made. You have created wonderful story that makes it necessary, in my mind, to follow up with another volume or few - hint, hint!! I hate to see the story end here...so much more to address. Great job, @Libby Drew. You are a very talented writer!

I was late to read this as I have had a very busy couple of days. I can't add anything that hasn't been said already in the comments as far as CJ, Owen, Pam, Geoff and Liebe... but will say I share all of CJ's vitriol with people such as Rubio! As a Floridian, I am totally ashamed of what has become of the "Republican" party. Meatball De Sanctimonius (the only thing I have liked that came out of the mouth of T****) is not only a fascist leaning leader but has surrounded himself with idiots who will destroy the state if they continue. And yet, more of the retirees who come here to live because they can continue to draw much larger pensions and have no state tax to pay continue to adore these vermin! Would that there were a real CJ who could confront these spineless anuses in person!

My thoughts exactly! You have created some wonderful characters! I want to see the final restoration of Sawyer's home along with finding the opening into the hidden room. Additionally, we need to know what Bruce accomplishes. And then, there is the relationship between Sawyer and Finn first, and their mother second! You can't leave us hanging, please!!!

Ah good....this means another chapter or two since they didn't find the will yet and the hearing is the following day. Finn will come to the rescue. But I do hope Marc's mother does step up and shut her husband down!

In 1979, I was a counselor in a middle school. I was assigned lunch duty daily (small staff) and could totally relate to this. Well done!

Way to go - get us all hot and bothered and just as eager to find the will! With the time limit, I do wish they would have taken up Reba's offer to help look. But then, the needed release would have had to wait a bit more. If I remember correctly, Marc did mention that he had gone to other places for a quick one-off with no emotion...

I'm glad to see this mystery solved (the will, that is), but also sad that the end is in sight of this volume. As a loyal HGTV restoration viewer and also what was the former DIY network, I want to see how everything turns our in the restoration of Sawyer's home, their budding life together, and justice to the parental units of Marc!

Don's cheating needs to come to light. Robbie has more troubles than ever! Nathan truly has a drug problem. Robbie, as a normal teen, finds his feelings confused for both Nathan and Rory. Sue knows the full story about the after game activities. Wonderfully crafted chapter!

Prompt 121 - At Any Price
pvtguy commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Prompt 121 - At Any Price
Great job with the prompt. I especially liked the twist at the end! -
I love that attitude! And I love that there were actually educators who fought prevailing "wisdom" about the intelligence of non-white men!
-
Is there another lawyer in town? Marc or Finn needs to do some research. I do believe Finn will be most helpful. Perhaps Marc will get the brothers to let down their defensive walls and talk as adults.
-
I think that Pam might believe Liebe is missing out on "mothering" as she is surrounded by mostly males. She is trying to make up for it by overreaching. She is still grieving for her daughter. There may be more, but hopefully, that will be mentioned in another chapter. This was a very informative and enjoyable chapter, giving insights into the family while educating us on the Zoo. Well done!

The death of someone can bring out the vultures, especially in a family. I’m eager to see what May’s lawyer has to say. I do believe Finn has a part to play in all this. His visit was not by accident.
