  1. I'm going to agree with the poster who suggested that Milo is trying to communicate with Nelson via Jame, and that A**face is reporting back to Milo that Nelson wants nothing to do with him. The parking lot scene in which Nelson runs away from Milo would just confirm that for Milo. Milo is probably obsessing about how Nelson is doing but is afraid to call him and is wondering why Nelson hasn't gotten in touch...especially given Nelson's past irritating behavior of showing up at Milo's and generally being a pest (in the best sense, of course). This may play into Milo's fear of being abandoned by those whom he loves. How will these two react when they finally face each other? Can't wait...
  2. Nelson & Milo together forever!!!!
  3. WT - ch 9/10 were last posts before hiatus (but I agree that it's worth it to start from the beginning) ITFB - I don't know-didn't start to read this until the entire thing was available (good to read The Log Way first, or have it fresh in your mind) cheers! ~Rick
  4. My guess would be that Milo concocted the story with Jame as they were being confronted by Mr. Trust. Does Milo have feelings for Nelson? You betcha. Is Milo willing to sell out his BF out of fear of his father? You betcha...at least, right now, he is. Could Milo have contacted Nelson in some way during the week? Probably - borrow a phone, use a pay phone, have Juanita call, etc. Love to know what's going on in the Trust house right now...and why hasn't Emily called Nelson's mother, if they were friends, unless she was taken in by the story as well? Also, I think that it's obvious that A**face planted the rumor - either to protect Milo and/or simply that he has been out to get Nelson & crew since the beginning - but there must have been something credible backing it up - like Mr. Trust confirming it or Milo's friend who knows Brandon also confirming it. The question I have is what will it take for Milo to run back to Nelson's side? It almost seems like a similar setup to Aiden/Owen after Aiden was outed and tried to protect Owen. But unlike that situation, Milo and Nelson aren't able to communicate with each other. So,I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter to see how this unfolds... Oh, and Nelson's reaction to his locker was awesome. It's a good sign that his friends walked out of school with him. That says volumes about their friendship.
  5. Wow, what a great chapter. Milo is really opening up to Nelson. Love the twist at the end...can't wait to see how this unfolds.
  6. nice chapter. I'd love to hear the internal conflict going on within Milo's head. His fear of attachment and of allowing himself to love other people must mean that he's incredibly in-love with Nelson.
  7. Nelson is one of my favorite Dom characters and I'm enjoying the development of his relationship with Milo. So, I'm very happy to see new With Trust chapters. ITFB was good...I don't see the attraction to the Dennis character. He's a jerk and he doesn't treat Travis well - very disfunctional relationship - I still am not sold on why Travis would be with Dennis. It might be interesting to look in on them a year or two into their relationship. The Epilogue shows growth, but still... And I didn't care that much for the Owen character - he seemed to be much different than he was in The Log Way, which remains my favorite of the Dom stories. The magnetism between Owen and Aiden that developed in TLW carried over well into ITFB.
  8. My take on it is that assigning Milo and Nelson to be partnered as parents to take care of the baby shows the awkwardness and potential "fear factor" of two actual boyfriends being assigned as partners - in the father/husband role. How will they handle it? Will people connect the dots and think they're gay and something is going on between them? Will Milo pull his usual distancing act? No, he doesn't. Milo actually becomes a responsible and nurturing parent and it tells us that he has a lot of tenderness and affection inside of him - that he wants someone to love but has a hard time showing Nelson that he's the one that Milo loves. It comes out in his treatment of their baby. Nelson, on the other hand, has an easier time being affectionate and loving towards Milo and by taking care of him while he's sick with the flu, Nelson is able to give his love and affection directly to Milo without using a surrogate. So I think this baby thing is critical to the development of the story. It shows that both Milo and Nelson are willing to give someone love and affection, that they are capable of being seen as a couple, that barriers to a more loving relationship are being broken down, and that they are developing an emotional bond. They are showing their vulnerability to each other and to love. They are learning how to have a more adult relationship that has responsibilities...that makes demands and enables them to give selflessly.

Thanks for the new chapter, Dom. Very nice to see Milo expressing affection for Nelson spontaneously without Nelson having to prompt him.
  10. Perhaps the goat represents Dom's muse...
  11. Very touching when Milo told Jame to go home because he wanted Nelson to be there and that Nelson was his friend. I'm looking forward to seeing more equality in affection between Milo and Nelson - right now, it's been mostly Nelson chasing after Milo - even when they are alone.
  12. Okay, never mind, I finally reached the 5-post milestone *hurrah*
  13. Wow. Your work is absolutely stunning - just beautiful. Thanks for sharing this and lets see more!
  14. I can't imagine Gazpacho hot - sounds like it would loose its crispness and just become a kind of spicy tomato soup - yuck! My first thought after Milo's announcement was, when will Milo admit that Nelson is his boyfriend? It almost seems that Milo isn't ready to acknowledge that he has feelings for Nelson - that Nelson is his boyfriend as well. But it looks like he's getting ready to accept that he and Nelson are in a relationship.
  15. Can someone give us a hint what this story is about? Is this a Dom story - if so, why isn't it listed on his page...
  16. Like many others, The Log Way was my introduction to Dom's writing and I was captivated by the story right away. The relationship between Owen and Aiden was very touching and sweet - reminded me of an old-fashined courtship. So TLW remains my favorite. The Ordinary Us was okay although it really annoyed me at times - Quinn is not a character that I like or even had very much sympathy for. Desert Dropping was a very emotional story occassionally bringing tears to my eyes. Rory was interesting and likeable because of the wide range of emotions and the way in which he fell prey to his naivete. With Trust is a good read so far, but I don't find myself emotionally vested in the story like I was with TLW and DD. So my ranking or the stories that I read is: 1. The Log Way 2. Desert Dropping 3. With Trust 4. The Spirit of James 5. The Ordinary Us
  17. This story has grown on me quite a bit and I eagerly anticipate each new chapter. I'm not sure that I really like either Nelson or Milo, but they both have qualities that together make them pretty likeable. Of Nelson's friends, I think that Joe is the best candidate to figure out Nelson's secret, if he hasn't already which I suspect he has. I would like to see Milo continue to open up and let us in to his mind. He seems to be rather an enigma at this point...
