  1. Q will warp your mind for sure! Some might say smart, others might use the term obsessed... I think they're both right!
  2. Prime is an Alpha, but also intelligent and bound by his sense of duty to serve as a marine. I'm sure he's encountered superior officers he's found lacking and still he managed to follow orders. If it were an impossibility, his career choice would have been rather stupid. And Prime us anything but, despite being an impulsive Alpha. That said, I'm sure there are a lot of errors in my little rant. But it's too much fun to rant to not share.
  3. I'm sorry for being a rant killer, but I guess the wifi hell just got to me yesterday. The cattle prodding worked, however, because at 3 am my brain suddenly came up with this idea. It's not a dream, it's Betsy "seeing" what if the pack never got together. Prime isn't Prime, since he's no Alpha. He never met CE, so the ball never got to rolling. Something happened the night he met CE, he was drunk out of his mind. A wolf in that condition? Hmm... Now, we get a glimpse of the world without our counterweight pack. The conservative pack (maybe led by Stiller) has got the power. The ferals are wolves trying to fight the oppression. The government is perhaps in league with the vampires for reasons unknown. Forest suspects, but doesn't know. Otherwise, I think he would have just left. CE is still in Shore patrol and therefore not in Europe. The others might have been drafted if the situation is as dire as it's described. So Brian, Al and Warren end up there. Drafting of soldiers doesn't effect Leo, who's Canadian. Sam is in this world too scrawny and useless to be drafted. Will on the other hand got drafted. The title still puzzles me though. I was thinking Greek mythology, but Juno is Roman. Or it's just a dream. You don't always dream of everyone in your life. Sometimes, people you hardly ever see or like show up. The masters could be vampires or some other beings. The ferals are also unknown. Sam and CE could have died in a previous battle and therefore be missing. This was my nighttime musings. Feel free to fall over laughing. The heat makes it hard to think and question my own thoughts...
  4. The possible answers are too many for speculation. I don't even know where to start...
  5. Giggling or shrieking (Defiance19 pulled that one off a while back).
  6. Who wants to lick my spoons...?
  7. Fish...? What fish..? You are making no sense whatsoever!

    Chapter 5

Uh-oh! Does Mommie dearest have plans for Wyatt? Her knowing about his slimy ex could serve her well. But I guess we'll have to wait for the next chapter to know...
  9. I sincerely hope you're not speaking from experience. I get what you mean, but that would be a terrible thing to happen to a child. Thanks for reading, reflecting and reviewing!
  10. I'll rant from here til Thursday if it gets you giggling, JAR! LOL
  11. That still doesn't lead to more babies. I seem to recall the words death and wish in connection to that idea. But I would love to read it. And rant of course!
  12. Besides, aren't we losing ranting track here? What about those poor female wolves living a practically Victorian life? The issue with virginity and birth control (as in controlling who is the father) doesn't add up with a desire to have many wolves. If the more, the merrier was the motto, the packs would raise any pups born out of marriage in the pack. No, this has nothing to do with procreation and everything to do with control. IMHO...
  13. Awful only as in "Why do you have to be so evil and seemingly kill all wolves?" I like Toddlers! I think we haven't got to know Al, Leo and Warren quite as much (even if I as an ex - chubby has a soft (no pun!) spot for Warren. That's perhaps why we don't feel as strongly for them.
  14. Vouch for Colt? Since I'm not suicidal, that kind of goes without saying. Je suis Colt, remember?
  15. Seb has a pup and a wife. Wouldn't that disqualify him? Jackson is in that awful prompt, where everyone has died, so maybe him...
  16. Ranting has been too scarce... Those societies with that many kids per woman are usually also signified by women getting little or no education. I find it hard to believe this is the case in packs in the US. One other explanation is an almost sect like society, which more fits the packs' hierarchical structure. If procreation was so important, it seems very stupid to not allow the best of each pack to have pups. But tradition is stronger than reason, perhaps. And it still doesn't explain why they have to be virgins? Are the leaders afraid more freedom will lead to less mating?
  17. Ok, hold on to your hats. Straight, married feminist going to rant here... First, I have to say that the irony of Colt's comment on kept men is almost too huge to handle. I know of no women who have that tight a leash on their man as he has. And don't say "It's the Meta thing" because all relationships have their own rules. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I really don't see a difference in expectations regarding behaviour and commitment in men and women around me. So Colt, reality check! Secondly and more important, I really find the double standard in wolf society offensive. Apparently, boys can explore. Girls cannot. Sadly, I doubt Colt will find time or interest to deal with this. By the way, wouldn't nature want the young to have sex in order to produce more wolves? I don't see how linking the ability to shift to losing one's virginity would increase mating and pup production. Or is the desire to be able to shift really strong? Even stronger than the regular sex drive?
  18. Ok, and I was thinking babies and birthing. A brave new world, born through prolonged pain due to the wrath of the gods... Interesting how perspective influences our interpretations of the world. We don't really go into that detail when studying WW2 at school.
  19. As long as you get screwed... Oh, right. That would be my preference...
  20. For me, this is so foreign. In Sweden, this would never make headlines. Even if Jack had been 14 and therefore off limits legally speaking, no media would run a story like that. We don't approve of young people being used of course, but in these circumstances no one would be outraged. Maybe even taking the boys' side...There would be no names in mainstream media. I guess we are lucky...
  21. We always suffer, but in different ways. When you don't write: withdrawal. When you do write: clue induced headache...
  22. I can't say I'm totally surprised at that event, but the way it happened made me go "What?!?". I won't comment further since I feel there is too much information missing (unless the answer is pure evil, but you would do something simplistic like that, AC). I could comment on my previous review. I wanted Linc to look out for himself. By that I meant he should make sure not to lose himself completely and just be reduced to Jack's caring boyfriend. Linc must be Linc too at times, otherwise he'll crumble under the pressure of dealing with Jack's illness. I don't think anyone can ever prepare for the loss of a loved one. The intellect doesn't hold that kind of power over the heart... By the way, I could hardly find the forum. Until I suddenly realised why. Congrats once again AC!
  23. Oh, crap! What happened now? I haven't had time to read yet. Must get to it after breakfast. Unless the wifi goes nuts on me again...
