I was born into the Roman Catholic faith, wife converted so we could be married RC. I did my "duty" and we "educated" our two children through Confirmation. They nos make their own decisions. I refer to myself as "a recovered catholic.". I am now also in a gay partnership. And serene. Different strokes for different folks

I am guessing that Shane and Trevor will become friends, partners? Looking forward to the next attempt on Trevor's life and how this young man handles it.

Am now reading this for the first time in 2023. Every chapter ends in a cliff hanger. Including this one. In this chapter it is the understated lurking stealthy figure. I am enjoying your EXCELLENT writing skills. And upon completing the reading look forward to more recent works.

I believe all of life’s experiences can be portrayed on a normal curve, with extremes at both ends. Most of humanity and our experiences fall near the middle. Malcolm is not the only one that needs to discover their real self. Thank you for writing this story so convincingly. Many of us go through real pain in the journey of self discovery. Samuel, I am removed from you by many decades but found myself reflected in many of your thoughts. I hope my next thought is not depressing for you but I am moved to tell you that although I am now in my 9th decade of life, I am still searching for some parts of my true self. I am the eldest son of the eldest son of an Italian immigrant. Raised Roman Catholic I accepted that I would become a priest or get married and have lots of bambinos. I was married for more than 30 years and had two grown and married children before accepting the fact that I am gay. I have now had the same partner for more than 25 years. And, although we are in a loving relationship, I am still searching for the next segment of my life. Wishing you peace and contentment as you continue your own journey. Enjoy each day.
