St. Vincent and the Letter
gmc commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in St. Vincent and the Letter
George has really grown into his position and is formidable enough to possibly redirect St. Vincent and save Calvert’s reputation. Not to mention his sexual mentoring! All Calvert has to do is close his eyes and pretend the princess is George!- 44 comments

JJ borrows trouble and pays compound interest in anticipation! Maybe Kris can navigate the family waters better than JJ’s previous boyfriends. Will and Marie can throw parties that are memorable! They can no doubt stir up a little trouble ! Thanks for the update. I’m looking forward to the next chapter! You always keep me wanting more!

OfIt was an interesting dinner with the Boron and a foray into vampire politics for which Greg seems to have an innate talent. Is this a future student lurking in the shadows? Greg has found or rather has been found by one of homeless vampires. How many more will be drawn to him?

Will should hire a self defense expert. His mouth could use some physical backup! Maybe JJ can handle a family visit without freaking out now that he has been forewarned. Great chapter.

JJ is trying not to doubt himself and showing signs of really conquering at least some of his fears while Will is extremely self assured and knows how to get what he wants which is often involves sex or steamrolling idiots! Will and Marie are quite a team; together they seem unassailable. Watch out Harvard! Great chapter! Thanks for the double shot!

The lovers catch up on the time they were apart and the people they have loved and the loves they have lost. They have a chance to reset their relationship and adjust their attitudes and find a way to go forward, but this is an interlude outside their normal lives with Calvert recovering from his wounds and George on special assignment. What will their future hold? Double thanks for the updates!

What a great beginning! I’ve been waiting this! I’m sure they can find a way to make things better for Alex. I think they will become more aware of things they can and should change. Alex’s problem with bullying is not new. It is something they were aware of and failed to address. It is only the beginning of the changes our young vampires will initiate. I look forward to the next chapter.

Kris and JJ will freak out when the family shows up. Maybe Will and Travis can help stabilize the situation. Will having sex at the Olympics is so different than his foray into the world of figure skating. He showed growing maturity and a regard for his relationship with Travis hopefully Travis will appreciate his efforts. The next issue will be whether Will can handle Travis having sexual encounters outside their relationship. Open relationships can be challenging especially when the ground rules are being established! Another great chapter!

Everything is going smoothly. Everyone is happy. The future is bright. Put on your shades, but don’t forget your umbrella! There are bound to be storms that will test them all. A great chapter reflecting growth in Will,Travis and JJ. I am anxious to see what challenges await them and how they fare under pressure! Next chapter please.

George and Calvert have always dealt with jealousy. Their passion causes them to react. Their logic pulls them back and allows them be rational, but as long as they deeply care for one another, the storm remains just below the surface. Thanks for the George fix! I’m sure the French are out there waiting with plans to kidnap the King. Next chapter please!

JJ is definitely smitten and the feeling seems mutual. Jacinta approves even if she is only the maid (and the only person JJ actually trusts). Susanna is on the way out and it’s about time, but how smoothly the exit goes remains to be seen! I have a feeling that Athens will be an adventure for Will. What is at play? Great chapter! I’m always looking forward to the next one.

Bring it on! JJ is putting himself out there for Kris. Considering his deep fear of rejection, he is being remarkably honest. A brave boy finally daring to work into becoming a man! Great chapter!

Thanks for the valentine! A taste of Calvert and a potential danger for the King is a great beginning. George and Calvert make excellent plans when they work together. To making the future safer and protecting the King!

JJ is on the verge of being empathetic! Can you believe it? I love to see him get glimpses of self awareness. Perhaps one day he will become likable in a bitchy sort of way. Leaps and bounds JJ. Great way to begin the weekend.

Wow! That was a surprise! Granger, the Royals, and Calvert! Who says sailing with the king is not an adventure. Tuesdays can be exciting! Thanks.

JJ seems to have met a good match! I see some relationship drama in his immediate future. Clingy girlfriends don’t like losing control. Will and Travis are strengthening their relationship, but separation is looming ahead. I’m so looking forward to the next chapter! What a boost for my weekend! Thanks.

Welcome to JJ’s poor me world. But somehow we are on his side, hoping he will find a partner who will give him balance. Could K-Kris be the one? He certainly has a pedigree JJ is bound to appreciate. Thanks for the boost into the weekend. I’m hooked!

I personally prefer this story in the first person; after all it’s all about Greg: what happens to him, what he becomes, how is grows, what he feels, his inner workings. think focusing on Greg’s point of view is one of the strengths of this saga. His growing powers and the abilities developing in his “sons” expand the possibilities of going in directions that would not be available when writing in the first person. No matter how you decide to proceed, I look forward to the next book. Don’t overthink. You’ve already written the story once; now you are honing, expanding, and improving on the original and making it better! Keep using the skills you’re developed. Experience is king! Happy writing!

This is a great start for the new year! I hope Greg finds a way to redeem Brian’s dad and restore the family. Why not find a healthy solution?

I don’t want to think about it! What a cliffhanger! Great chapter!
-
Greg is developing more abilities and is showing himself as a thoughtful leader. He confronts Brian and gets him to acknowledge that his father has been physically abusive. Until that is resolved Greg will not change Brian. I think Greg will find a way to protect Brian and his mother and he will resolve the situation using his abilities rather than violence to mete out justice. What a powerful chapter! So much can be hidden in our world by our silence, our fears, and our misplaced shame and guilt. Not in Greg’s world!

What is great way to start the weekend! We have lots of beginnings! There is so much to look forward to. I was tempted to read the earlier version, but I think this version is tighter and even more interesting so I am going to wait for the new chapters without looking ahead. Keep up the good work!

It seems Greg has some ideas that could transform the vampire culture. The “ordinary “ vampires seem to caught in a feudal system that is out of step with the modern world. What changes will be made? Will Greg bring unwanted attention to himself? What other abilities will surface as Greg continues to develop? Great job! I look forward to the next chapter.
