I've been pretty distracted lately

I understand. Years ago I had to place my Dad in a nursing home. For me it was actually slightly better than dealing with the regular emergencies that occurred while he and my step monster were attempting to live independently. I hope your mother copes well and that the nursing facility provides the care your father needs. Keep the faith that things will be less stressful. -
A little excitement for Friday night! Greg is no longer unseated! It looks like he has a lot of work to do to bring his Barony into his vision of what the Nation of Dracul should be. I’m ready for more, especially Jake’s future! Great storytelling!

That went well! Wanda knows that her son and grandson need to be distanced from human neighbors while her grandson ages. The boys can stay in Greg’s circle and interact with his children unnoticed by the outside world. I’m looking forward to the trip to see Prince George and whatever new adventures await! Great chapter! I love it!

JJ listened to his therapist and eventually heard most of what she said. Brad played therapist for Jack who didn’t want to listen and didn’t like what he heard. JJ may be able to smooth things with his family because he has feelings for Kris. Jack seems to be thinking only about himself and grasping for his fading youth when he should be embracing his family’ and enjoying the pleasures of a mature relationship. Assholes are difficult and these two are changing; JJ for the better and Jack for the worse, but they both whine! Thanks for deftly guiding us through this shifting ground. No one does it better. I always want the next chapter!

Growth of the family and individual growth of Greg and his counsel is happening quickly. Next comes the meeting with the prince. The plan to bring the disenfranchised vampires into the fold seems to be off to a great beginning! I love to see world building!

Kris did well with Steph, Brad and Jake. JJ stayed sane. All in all it was a miracle of sorts! Travis seems on edge and irritating. Will is irritated but forgiving. I hope the trip to London, Paris and Portugal works out. I love travels with JP! Great chapter!

Great chapter! I wonder how many vampires are living such tenuous existence. Greg needs to find a way to improve the lot of those who have fallen through the cracks of vampiric society.

JJ borrows trouble and pays compound interest in anticipation! Maybe Kris can navigate the family waters better than JJ’s previous boyfriends. Will and Marie can throw parties that are memorable! OfIt was an interesting dinner with the Boron and a foray into vampire politics for which Greg seems to have an innate talent. Is this a future student lurking in the shadows? Greg has found or rather has been found by one of homeless vampires. How many more will be drawn to him?

JJ is trying not to doubt himself and showing signs of really conquering at least some of his fears while Will is extremely self assured and knows how to get what he wants which is often involves sex or steamrolling idiots! Will and Marie are quite a team; together they seem unassailable. Watch out Harvard! Great chapter! Thanks for the double shot!

The lovers catch up on the time they were apart and the people they have loved and the loves they have lost. They have a chance to reset their relationship and adjust their attitudes and find a way to go forward, but this is an interlude outside their normal lives with Calvert recovering from his wounds and George on special assignment. What will their future hold? Double thanks for the updates!

What a great beginning! I’ve been waiting this! I’m sure they can find a way to make things better for Alex. I think they will become more aware of things they can and should change. Alex’s problem with bullying is not new. It is something they were aware of and failed to address. It is only the beginning of the changes our young vampires will initiate. I look forward to the next chapter.

Kris and JJ will freak out when the family shows up. Maybe Will and Travis can help stabilize the situation. Will having sex at the Olympics is so different than his foray into the world of figure skating. He showed growing maturity and a regard for his relationship with Travis hopefully Travis will appreciate his efforts. The next issue will be whether Will can handle Travis having sexual encounters outside their relationship. Open relationships can be challenging especially when the ground rules are being established! Another great chapter!

George and Calvert have always dealt with jealousy. Their passion causes them to react. Their logic pulls them back and allows them be rational, but as long as they deeply care for one another, the storm remains just below the surface. Thanks for the George fix! I’m sure the French are out there waiting with plans to kidnap the King. Next chapter please!

JJ is definitely smitten and the feeling seems mutual. Jacinta approves even if she is only the maid (and the only person JJ actually trusts). Susanna is on the way out and it’s about time, but how smoothly the exit goes remains to be seen! I have a feeling that Athens will be an adventure for Will. What is at play? Great chapter!
