    Chapter 23

The vacation and the conversations were both needed more than either Jason or Corey realized, I think... especially for Corey. There were things that had been left unsaid for far too long. Thank you for your review and support, Def.

    Chapter 23

Corey should talk to his mother. Right now Corey has friends and Jason to tell him when he's doing things that can be hurtful, but his mother doesn't seem to have anyone who will be honest with her. Corey has deliberately avoided the topic of his sperm donor over the years, but he might be realizing that might not have been the right way to deal with the situation, at least for his own well-being. Thank you for your support and your review, Lisa

    Chapter 23

It would be interesting to know what they talked about, but I think it will remain a private conversation. I can tell you their boyfriends made the topic list Thank you for your review and your support, B

    Chapter 23

Thank you for my 333rd review, Tim I agree with you that Corey should tell his mother how her marriage affected him. Pierre saw firsthand what his friend went through, and how it affected him, so his perspective would have been eye opening for Corey. I doubt Corey even realized that Pierre would be upset to find out about Corey's feelings. To Corey they were in the past, and unrequited. Pierre would never have gone after Jason if he'd known and felt like he betrayed his friend, even if that's not true. Corey is a good man, but does tend to have a bit of tunnel vision and not see how his actions or feelings might impact others. He's getting better, and luckily he has a supportive and understanding group of friends. Drew is pretty protective of Jason. He's seen his brother change and knows he's not the same guy who hurt Pierre. Corey is his best friend, but no one will get away with hurting Jason. Thank you for your review and all of our support, Tim It means a lot to me to hear you love the story

    Chapter 23

They are like family, and even better, they chose each other to love. I think Jason really missed having this when he screwed up, but Corey really missed it too when he distanced himself from his home town and didn't see Pierre and Drew as often as he used to. Sometimes you need to see the people you care about face to face. Thank you for your review and your support, Dugh

Thank you, Reader I love the friendships too. It makes me miss the people some of these characters are based on.

    Chapter 22

They were conversations that probably had to happen, and you're right, they do give us some insight in what people are thinking. No... it's not wrong, but I don't think he had many teeth to lose Thank you for your review and your support, Def

    Chapter 22

You're right, Jason was immature back then. He would have hurt Corey and they may never have recovered from it. Now that they're both older they have a shot at making this relationship work. Thank you for your review and your support, Lisa

    Chapter 22

Jason was first Corey's friend and has always wanted him to he happy. He's also astute enough to see that Corey needs to loosen up, and Pierre makes him do that. He is also honest with himself because he would have destroyed Corey when they were younger. He wasn't ready for that level of commitment. Thank you for your review and your continued support,Tim

    Chapter 22

Liz did have some terrible timing, didn't she? lol the chat between her and Jason was good for Jason. I think he needed to hear from someone who didn't know him back then that she can't see the man he is now doing what young Jason did. Thank you for your review and your support, BuffyWillow (Oh and I wanted to smack the guy at the restaurant too)

    Chapter 21

The holiday is just what the doctor ordered. Corey and Jason need time in a relaxing setting, and seeing Drew and Pierre again will make both men happy Thank you for your review and your support, Def

    Chapter 20

I get where Corey was coming from too. He's spent years hating his dad and trying to protect him mom. It's a hard habit to get out of. Thankfully Jason is understanding and doesn't let him get away with hurting him. Communication is the key to their success. Thank you for your review and your support, Def.
  14. Well I didn't see that coming! Honestly I think Warren is more of a product of nurture rather than nature, so I think he can be redeemed. At least I hope he can, because I want Adelin to be happy. She deserves it, and so does the pack. The hunter theories are interesting. Why can he sense Keller? There has to be something there. I wonder, can they see their own version of the colours K sees and can use that to tell a shifter from a human? They could still be human, but have some that mental 'sight'. I can't wait to see what they discover, because I have no doubt this isn't the last time we'll see that hunter. Another wonderful chapter filled with intriguing information, and still more questions. Now back to waiting for next Monday.
  15. Sometimes the people who can hurt us the most have no idea how much power they have to cut us deep. my friend. (I hope you're feeling better today.)

    Chapter 23

It was a conversation that needed to happen. I think Pierre has been carrying around some of his own guilt after realizing his best friend was in love with Jason for so many years. Pierre is a good guy and the thought that he might have poached would bother him tremendously, even though the relationship with Jason ended badly. The talk also gave Corey a new perspective on one of the worst days of his life. His protectiveness with his mother overshadowed his anger with her, but its anger that he needs to address at some point if he's going to move forward and out of the shadow of his parents' screwed up relationship. Thank you for another great review (No, it wasn't too short) and all of your support, Gary.

    Chapter 23

Thank you, huktaunluv! It's great to hear your thoughts on the story so far. I hope you stick around for the ride. Jason and Corey have evolved quite a bit from the prologue and I think they're learning about what it means to be in a relationship, together. As I said in my reply to Spikey, Drew has seen how much Jason has changed and he doesn't want to see anyone hurt his big brother, even if its his best friend. Thank you again for your review and your support.

    Chapter 23

I think Drew realized how affected Jason was by their estrangement and also losing Pierre and Corey as friends. He's also seen how much Jason has changed over the years and how the affection between his brother and his best friend have evolved. Seeing his brother hurt by the one man Jason has ever (at least in Drew's mind) allowed himself to get close enough to to love made his protective instincts kick in. He loves Corey, but Jason is his big brother, and if he doesn't stick up for him, who will? Thank you for your review and your support, Spikey

    Chapter 21

I think that Corey is realistic enough to know now that he is affected by his anger towards his father. It hurt to be reminded of what his mother is going through, but in the end she has to make her own choices. thank you for your review and your support, Buffy!

Thank you, Parker! I have to admit, I am enamored with the love and friendship. They've come a long way from the young men in my head during the prologue.

    Chapter 23

Chapter 23 Corey stretched, and enjoyed the feeling of his back popping. He couldn’t remember when he’d slept as well as he had over the past week. Every night, after their outdoor activities, he and Jason had made love before falling into a deep, contented sleep. Reaching across the sheets, he found the other side of the bed empty. He opened his eyes and confirmed he was alone in the room. Listening carefully, he could just make out the sound of people moving somewhere in the house.
  23. Isn't it fortunate that all of that wandering took him to the place he was meant to be? The whole time I read this I heard "the wanderer" by Dion playing in my head
  24. Wow... just wow. You did an amazing job showing Ethan's spiral into mental illness. I was drawn in from the first sentence and was riveted to the end. The idea of him believing he's "shifting" seemed to be his way of absolving himself of the crimes he'd committed. That was an intriguing twist to what I expected to be a shifter story. There was a lot of intensity and character development in such a short amount of time. You should be proud of this.
  25. I loved Tobyn's half asleep thoughts. You can see that, although this is scary, he's all in with his mate. It's wonderful to finally have him in that place where they can just love each other. Their increasing bond is a great touch. Lots of reason to continue kissing, and other types of fluid swapping. I have to wonder... can Tobyn and Kellar sense each other's emotions? I know T was joking about hearing thoughts, but strong emotions wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility right now, and K would be feeling some pretty strong emotions with the hunter so close. My concern also Is that this guy will track them even if K does get away this time. Morningstar is depleted enough and can't afford more loss. Waiting on the edge of my seat for next Monday
