  1. Favourite line: "Bodie grinned. “It’s because they’re old..." that was great! Again, I love how your characters communicate... even the young ones. It's the best way to build the most solid friendships and solid relationships. I like the agreement they made about waiting. Taking the pressure off of a physical relationship will help them build a strong foundation for when they are ready to finally take that step. Great job, Gary.

    Chapter 29

Even in this day and age, it's hard for a man to admit he's less experienced. I can't confirm this though and will have to say until Bryce and Nathan's story is ready to be told. Thank you for your great comments and support, Lisa

    Chapter 29

Nathan feels out of his depth with Bryce, and he's not reacting in the best way to win the man over. Maybe I should let you sit down and have a little chat with him about not being so judgy? He might do well with a slapping around the chops? Thank you for your comments and support, B

    Chapter 29

lol I think Bryce and Nathan have developed quite a following. I'll have to tell them to get their butts in gear so I can get their story written Thank you for your comments and support, Def

    Chapter 29

I can see Bryce and Alek becoming friends too. Bryce would have no problem telling Alek if he's acting like an idiot I'm always happy when readers see depth in the characters I've created. Bryce does appear confident, and he is a pretty confident man, but there are aspects of his personality that he doesn't let anyone else see. Thank you for your great comments and support, Drew

    Chapter 29

It's easier to give advice than actually take it, even from yourself. I think we've all experienced moments like that. Bryce and Nathan both have to figure out how to get what they really want. Thank you for your comments and support, deville

    Chapter 29

Thank you, Gary I wanted to have a feeling of family, so I'm happy that came across. Even though not everyone is blood related, they do love one another. It's a far cry from where Liam was at the beginning of the story when he thought he had no one to call after his accident. Thank you for all of your support, and wonderful comments, my friend

    Chapter 29

Nathan is stuck in his own head, I think. He does need to relax his stance if he wants a chance with Bryce. Bryce does have more depth, if people stop long enough to look. Thank you for your comments and support, Dugh

I think he does too. Of course, I've always had the benefit of knowing what's going on in Alek's head, so I'm probably biased Thank you for your support and comments Huckleberryeme

I think Bryce and Nathan need to figure out how to talk to each other before they're going to make any headway. Thank you for your comments and all of your support, Parker

There has been some rumbling about a spin-off for Bryce. I'm contemplating it Thank you for your comments and support, Wesley.

    Chapter 29

You're welcome, and thank you for your kind comments, Bndmetl. I'm always here that someone has enjoyed my stories. I think Bryce wanted to talk behind closed doors because of how against Alek he had been before. Not that he was embarrassed (Bryce is the type to be embarrassed easily), but that he felt they needed to clear the air between them privately.

    Chapter 27

lol it is nice that Liam has Corey. He doesn't let himself get very close to too many people, so the friends he as are cherished. Thank you for your comments and support, Lisa
  21. It can be really easy to stick with a tried and true story model, and writing shifter stories is no exception: Find your mate, instantly fall in love, live happily ever after. I don’t blame authors who use that model. Why not use it if it works? With Morningstar Gary explored the shifter genre, but managed to make give us a story that was fresh and new. There was no ‘insta-love,’ and the characters worked to understand each other and the lives they were building together. There were twists and turns that will keep you guessing, characters you will love, and characters you will hate. Heck, I found myself sniping at Tobyn more than once in the beginning of the story. It’s hard for me to pinpoint my favourite part of Morningstar, but I think if I had to choose it would be something I love about all of Gary’s stories: the conversations the leads have with one another. I love their little moments together… the sharing of their thoughts, even their frustrations and disappointments. I would highly recommend Morningstar to those who love shifter stories… and even those who don’t. I think the people who don’t will find themselves pleasantly surprised.
  22. It always makes me sad to see too. I know it's hard to avoid sometimes, but some of it could be prevented by slowing down and being aware that wild animals share our world. (I won't make comment on birds that literally fly into my vehicle when they have an entire sky)

    Chapter 29

Chapter 29 “All right,” Alek’s voice drifted through the opening. “You said you wanted to talk? I can guess it’s about Liam and me. Should I have worn my hockey cup?” “Very funny,” Bryce retorted with a snort. “I didn’t bring you in here to scold you… I wanted to thank you.” “Thank me?” Alek sounded as confused as Liam felt. “Why would you want to thank me?” “Well….” There was a pause as someone, likely Bryce, cleared their throat. “You’ve made Liam really happy.

Alek's sisters are fun to write, especially their interactions with Alek and Liam. They don't seem to hold their tongues very much Thank you for your support and your comments, Def
