  1. There are a couple of stories here I haven't read yet, but after reading the reviews, I look forward to checking them out.
  2. The Invitation Mic slumped into the hard plastic chair, wishing for the hundredth time he’d remembered to grab his eReader on his way out the door. Getting lost in a story would make the afternoon pass more quickly than watching laundry roll round and round in the glass-doored washing machine. With a sigh, he shifted his weight and turned his attention to the sparse foot traffic carefully navigating the slippery sidewalk. Freshly fallen snow made the icy walkways even more treacherous th

    A Year

Wonderful, moggy. Each of us does get to start with a blank page. Let’s hope this year brings mostly good words
  7. “Joys can be lost, but also found. We can’t let fear run us aground” There is a lot of hope in those words. Fear can keep up from experiencing some of life’s greatest joys.
  8. Thanks, Pupp!
  9. these always make me laugh. Thank you, Tim

    Brotherhood

Aaaand you made me weepy. This was such a heartwarming story. I feel badly that, through the machinations of others, both brothers probably felt abandoned by the other. Luckily Isaac wanted the truth, and they were able to find each other again. Wonderful job, Val

    Holiday Time

That was beautiful, Moggy. You made me tear up this morning (in a good way) @droughtquake I think you’ve tapped into what the true meaning of the season should be. I’m glad you found help when you needed and that you’ve given back once you were back on your own two feet.
  15. Hahaha Millipede had me laughing this morning. Hopefully that cat strut means he found and dispatched the Hell spawn.

    Chapter 1

A powerful story about how choices can affect your life. I feel sad for how Mark’s life turned out, but Aaron was right, Kevin couldn’t have fixed him. Unfortunately, some people are stubbornly self-destructive, no matter how much you want to help, and staying will only burn you to the ground with them. Kevin was smart to grab his chance at happiness when he did. Great job, JayT.
  17. It’s sad that Simon’s mother’s memory of him had to be wiped, but it would necessary and would keep her from grieving his loss and never knowing what became of her son. I’m glad they took Sally with them. I foresee many adventures together and maybe even a drag show or two
  18. I loved this. It was dark and disturbing and just awesome (I do love a good dark tale once in a while) You gave us information about the Fae world but didn’t overwhelm the reader with details. It left me wanting to know more. What happened to the fae babies? Are they all born ‘bad’ or is it nurture over nature? Why did the king want the human babies? Do I want to know? *shudder*. Great job, WQ
  19. You have a gift at making me love your characters. Dalton hurt Caleb, but came through for him in the end. I also like that Caleb didn’t immediately jump into things with Dalton. He had been hurt and his distrust was to be expected. Their path won’t always be smooth, but in the end I think they have what it takes and will put the work in to have a happy and successful relationship. Well done, Gary

    The Cat Crusades

Aww I just want to hug Sam and make him feel better. Bullying can cause some terrible repercussions, and I admit I was worried about about he was planning too, but his attack kittens were unexpected

    A Weed

I’ve heard that too. We usually find it easier to believe the bad rather than the good, but any time you need a boost, we’re here

As others have said, there is such sadness in this, but know you are welcome here
  24. Thats the nice thing about slowing down... you see more
  25. A lovely ode to winter, pointing out the beauty that we sometimes miss as we pull up our hoods to try to ward off the chill. I loved the last line “As life slows down to cold molasses”
