  1. Hahaha loved it! This was so much fun to read. A very creative take on the theme, Puppi

Based on what I’ve read from you so far I think they’re in good hands
  3. A wonderfully done short, Tim. I don’t know the books this is based on, but you’ve intrigued me. I hope Laryn finds his happiness with his uncles there to support him. I’d love to hear more about Laryn’s life as he moves away from the familiar and starts his adventure

Your description of Rob’s feelings, lust, affection and discomfort, was very well done. I could practically feel his racing heart and sweaty palms. I would love to read more about these two men and see if they ever get past Rob’s sense of honour and propriety. Excellent work, Def

This was a great take on forbidden love. I agree with Puppi, salt and pepper hair should come with some patient, but I guess unrequited love needs it’s answers. It says a lot about Professor Hammond’s respect and affection for his student that he doesn’t take the offered, easy road, but wants his student to succeed and not give up on his dream. Well done, Val
  6. I have mild anxiety, but I find it’s actually gotten better as I’ve gotten older. I’m not sure why. Like @Caz Pedroso I sing or hum when I’m alone and I feel uncomfortable, but I do it to songs on my phone. I find just hearing the music makes me feel less alone in the dark. My biggest fear is heights. I’ve gotten to the point that I can get on a roller coaster or Ferris wheel, but ladders or walking over a log across a stream still make me freeze up. Strange, I know. I don't think there is any one answer for combatting fear. Just the like we are all unique so are our fears and coping mechanisms. The point is that we try, whether it’s by medication, distracting ourselves or trying to face what scares us.
  7. Good job on this, Carlos. It's always nice to get in to an author's head and find out what they think of their own work. I've read CotT (and have reread it a few times) but I haven't read the other two stories. Boy Story sounds intriguing and will be added to my list of stories to read, and since I always enjoy Renee's work, I will make sure to read that as well.
  8. It’s usually the voice you want to hear the most that is conspicuous in its absence. Sometimes it’s up to you to reach out because they miss your voice too... sometimes we no longer have the chance.
  9. Children have an amazing capacity to understand what is important, without all of the fluff. Beautiful post, Caz. Now I just have to explain the misty eyes to my co-workers
  10. I use an iPhone and sometimes I find the the whole comment I'm trying to quote from gets highlighted when I'm trying to select only a portion of text . It doesn't always happen, but it gets frustrating when it does. In those instances I also quote the entire passage and just delete what I don't want. I love the feature on the computer though.

Kaden was pretty shy, but he may have projected his attraction to Daniel more than he realized. As for a sequel? I’ve actually been thinking of these guys lately, so maybe they will be heard from again soon.
  12. Very interesting. *Note to self....*
  13. So it was just the glint of pitchforks that got you writing?
  14. I have missed this story. Reading this chapter made me realize how much. Like Gary, I started the chapter immediately concerned about what was happening with Michael, but that little scamp is just fine with his guardian angel right there with him. I love how quietly generous Patrick is. He helps people who may never know who touched their lives with kindness, and I suspect Sonia will be helped as well. I can't see him allowing her attacker to go unpunished if there is something he can do. I'm grateful he now has Peter in his life who can love him and treat him with as much kindness as he does to others. He needed someone on his side. Thank you for this chapter, Tim. It was a wonderful surprise
  15. Simply beautiful, Gary. Sometimes that simple touch is all you need.
  16. This is one issue I’ve had with my own sci-fi writing... not having enough detail or “telling’ the reader what this new world that only exists in my mind looks like. It’s a fine balance. Too much detail and you lose your audience, too little and you might as well be writing about 20th century earth.

Thank you, D.K. I appreciate your comment and your support. I agree, Micah is a cute name, but Mic does have a reason he shortens it (I didn't have time to get in to in in this prompt)

Maybe a little bit of both? I guess it depends how loud the two characters are when I finish with the Crave sequel. Thank you for your comment and support, Northie
