    Satiation

Well, you certainly know how to spice up a morning.
  2. Like @Valkyrie I found GA by following Rob Colton and was amazed by the number of authors and stories I found. I lurked for months before finally joining in 2014, so I could follow a couple of authors as I impatiently awaited their next chapters. I've been writing for years, but it took me a long time to build up the courage to finally post a story here. I don't think I would have done it without the support and encouragement of an author I highly respected (who has become one of my dearest friends), @Headstall. I, like so many other authors, have benefitted from such a supportive atmosphere. This is a community like none other I've been a part of and I'm grateful for all of the hard work put into making this site what it is today. Happy 15th Anniversary, GA, and I wish you many, many more. And @Myr I think you deserve several for all of the blood, sweat, tears and sleepless hours you've put into this place. None of us would be here without you.
  3. A wonderfully written review, Tim. I believe both you and Gary have recommended the CAP series before and it's now firmly back on my 'to be read' list. I too remember exactly what I was doing on that day and the feelings I had watching things unfold on tv. Your review makes me want to pick up the book and read through the characters' eyes what they felt that day, but I will restrain myself so as not to spoil the stories before it. Your review, however, makes that restraint much more difficult
  4. I love the one who thinks he's much too mature to drink from a bottle
  5. A lovely tribute to the coming of Fall
  6. "I now play with words and weave lives not my own". I love that line. It perfectly describes an author. It great that you found words to be the outlet for your artistic soul
  7. This chapter was so perfectly Michael and Kendall. Yes, M is a horn dog (and its one of the reasons I adore him so much ) but he's also so in tune with Kendall. He senses when his partner is hurting, or even just needs a shoulder to lean on. He's wonderfully intuitive with his man. He's also the joker of the two. I think he brings out K's playful side. Kendall's walk down memory lane made me smile. I think music has a way of bringing up memories and feelings and those old records brought up happy times with his mom. I think she'll she be touched when she sees he has them there were so many memories in that apartment for both men, but K is right, it's time to build some new ones as they get on with the next chapter (see what I did there?) in their lives another wonderful chapter, Gary. Thank you.

    Alone

Feeling alone in a crowd is something many can relate to I think, including me.
  13. Lovely, Gary. Both of them are lovely. Your grandson is a lucky little boy to have you in his life. I hope sunshine kisses each of your days too
  14. The poem is about sadness and trials, but to me it's also, more importantly about hope. I think the last couple of lines say it all "But the tenet we must cling to is. Those vibrant colors are still there"
  15. This was probably one of my favourite stories of yours (and that is saying a lot) because there is so much hope in it. I don't want to say too much and give the story away, so I will just say it was a beautiful short story that I would highly recommend.

    Epilogue

Thank you, LadyDe. I appreciate your support, and your confidence in me I'm thrilled you were won over. I know not everyone was convinced, but bringing a couple of people over to his side means I did my job showing Alek's journey and change. Thank you again for your great comments and support.

I can assure you there will be no sparkly vampires in my story.... well unless Merrick decides to throw glitter at Jenson Thank you for your comments and support, Drought. Even though you didn't like Alek you stuck with it, and I appreciate that.
