    Thank you, friend! It's kind of surprising to me that I fell into the western genre to begin with. It started with an Anthology entry called "Finding Refuge", the third one I wrote for the Rewind Antho, and the enjoyment I had for it never went away. "Sidewinder" came way later, and helped me get out of a covid funk. The positive reaction to it led to "Larkspur", which was equally as rewarding. "Boundaries" happened because of something @Aditus posted on the antho thread, kind of like he challenged me to write a western for it (after I had already written two other entries). In the end, it led me to "Bearpaw", another great experience. The other side of writing westerns, though, is it may have kept me from writing a Book Two of "Morningstar". Thanks again.

    I wonder what the bats' mission was. Vlad has had a lonely life filled with personal tragedy, but he has found peace... for the moment. I'm sure the Brotherhood is coming. Another great chapter, Albert. Cheers!

    I wrote three for the Rewind Anthology and that was a real slog (30,000 words in total) but fun too. I also wrote y three another time(2022) but one was poetry that time. I agree with you about choices, but I'm easy.

    Thanks, Mark! Your words are humbling and appreciated. I have experienced that pleasure too, watching others become writers who learn what it takes to create something worth sharing, striving to improve with each paragraph. I have learned so much from other writers, and certainly from you. You and your success have been an inspiration to myself and so many others. Cheers!

    Another great chapter, Albert. I noticed the time jump too, but it doesn't affect the story for me. I thought the ending of this was sweet, and we saw some of the humanity that resides still, especially with allowing the mugger to live. Cheers! G.

    The first stories I stumbled upon were @Cia's, @Nephylim's, and @Mark Arbour's. Opened my eyes too, but it took me a while to work up the courage to write something. It's great to see Comicality remembered for his work.
