    Unless we come across of new keeper who knows more of the histories, we will likely never get the full story, or the answers you seek. The fact Cahlar had a daughter or daughters he sent to the new world is what is most important. It would be nice to think he had his mate at his side (whether born a shifter or made one) during his fight to save shifters, but it's possible he lost her early on and that spurred him to become 'the savior'. The earth mother seems to have had some grand plan she nudged along... I believe he, himself, was born a shifter, and he had that coat and size to set him above, enough others would follow. Just some thoughts.

    Hi, all. Another very busy day. My new appliances were delivered. They look amazing. I caught up on laundry and restocked the new fridge. It's very sleek, and it's huge. My back is killing me... had to take my back door off to fit the stuff in... and I am exhausted.

    I won't speak for Terry, Dan, but I will say it is my pleasure. I enjoy this as much as readers do... it gives me an opportunity to relive the writing, posting, and interacting. I was a reader long before I was a writer, and I still get excited, even when it is my own work. Kellar has a lot to consider when it comes to that painting, especially considering he knew nothing of packs, let alone their history, before he met Tobyn. So pleased you are enjoying the journey.

    Glad you found it so. I could picture her perfectly in that scene. She truly is a wonderful character to write. And, a little alone time is just what the guys need.

    I think we all look forward to that reunion, as well as Tilly and Logan's first meeting. Yes, now that the dust has settled, Vega is committed to making this new situation work. They understand it is their responsibility to do what they can for their race.

    Thank you, kind sir. I really thought it was important to show that love is as powerful as being mates. The earth mother assists and guides and provides, but she does not control. People... shifters... have free will, and can make their own choices. Millicent and Ulrich do not lack for anything when it comes to their love and devotion.

    Lol. A story has to have humor. Clarence is living in his own personal hell, and has been for years, powerless to help his son. I can't imagine that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for leaving such kind words for me. Love it!

    How about 'wolf den'? Glad you liked the sorting, buddy. These scenes are difficult for me sometimes... not the writing, but the vulnerability they make me feel. Still, I will never shortchange the story or the reader when they are warranted. Yes, it looks like @raven1has lapped you. Take your time, though. I want you to savor this work if you can. And yeah, there has to be a reason for this new gift. Thanks, Dan.

    Best moment ever!!! This chapter made me so happy, despite the tears. I can't believe I pulled it off. Sorry for your tears... yeah... no... I'm not sorry. Kellar was as shocked as he's ever been, and there can be no doubt he just performed a miracle. Woot!

    Change is hard, and the change they are considering is earth shattering. But, the situation is dire, so all we can hope is that they do the right thing for all shifters. Still, the thought of leaving my little farm is not something I can readily accept.

    I just reread this and got emotional by the end. Kellar's gift is indeed growing, as is his need to help every single living thing he comes across. You're right that he is better at analyzing these situations better. As far as the painting, Kellar is still absorbing. Knowing him, he needs to digest all aspects of what this could mean. Delia's explanations of how the past work was enlightening... I was looking forward to that discussion for a long time. The most impactful thing was that they were once used to kill humans. That is horrifying, and makes what Cahlar did all the more important. This reminds me of the weaving process I enjoyed so much. Thanks, Terry.

    We don't know yet what that painting means, but we know it has to be significant. Why would Kellar be in an old painting? Happy to hear you are still planning on revisiting those other stories. Thanks, Terry.

    Lol. Yeah, Tilly is not to be messed with. Logan would have to tow the line when she's around. We'll see. Thanks for the kind words. I must admit I do enjoy delving onto the healings, making each of them different. Shifters are good people. it is something I've tried to show throughout the story, so of coarse, as angry as Kellar was, he is a healer and a shifter, and he can let go of that to help a fellow shifter. He didn't care for Denver either, but he took a special person to meet him. It is always about doing the right thing for them.

    Their latest gift from the earth mother did indeed come in handy in this chapter. Logan is one sick puppy, but as you say, he is remembered as someone different. I see Delia the same way you do... she is some of the glue holding Vega pack together it would seem. Loved reaching this point of the story, and seeing proof that there are more packs than Morningstar hanging on.

    You just never know when it will come in handy. Glad you liked this 'sorting', Terry. I loved having spend some time at the cabin, back where it all began. It seemed fitting this would be where the joining was really completed.

    Thank you, buddy. Dialogue makes a story soar, in my opinion, so I appreciate your validation. To hear you are falling more deeply in love with the story makes my heart soar as well.

    Warren is the best! This is a chapter I am very proud of, for the ride it took us all on. Once again we saw just how dangerous hunters are. Still, united they were a match for him.

    Thank you so much, Terry. As I've said before, I feel vulnerable when I write these scenes, but they and the readers deserve the best I can give them. The emotion I feel at giving Kellar this sharing of the colors with Tobyn is something that stays with me. It made my heart sing through tears. Still does.
